Nothing much to say. We got dominated, DOMINATED by the Pens B team.

    I know, I know...only 6 games in. Don't look at the East standings...just don't...

And don't picture your mom saying to your dad "finish it off in my mouth..."...that's just wrong...

  3. I have a headache this morning. See: Habs.

I'm starting to get a sneaking suspicion that Muller leaving is having a negative impact on our boys. WTF do I know anyway? How many more losses before the shit hits the fan?

  4. Yup, Pens G, D and O won all facets of the game. A putrid effort. Excuses are for losers and some serious soul searching needs to be done.

  5. @Moey, I say Game 11 if things don't improve to at least .500 hockey. Whatever happens, I pray that Bob Hartley isn't on the contact list.

  6. Gut check time Saturday, a loss to the laff and its panic, no planing the parade, panic in the streets.

Two more tips. Get those blade covers for the sticks and use them in every practice, and get out the lead puck.(ask Sony for some robot goalies)

  7. @moe,

Eleven sounds about right if not sooner. It's a very short list of potential candidates. I thought maybe BG for the short term, he's still involved in the team and JM was his choice. There is something wrong, the team on paper is much better than what we saw last night.

@Moey...oh god no, not BG, can we move away from that idea please? I like him as a consultant upstairs (like I know what I'm talking about)...But I want some excitement on the ice. I'd have no issue in bringing back Guy Carbonneau...

Michel Therrien is doing nothing right now...

Personnaly, I don't care about the whole French/English debate so, whatever coach is available, we need to consider him...If it comes to that.

Hmmm, I would say if they haven't stemmed the losing by this time next week, the season may be lost. If your sitting at 14 or 15 by then, there are too many teams to climb over.

It's still possible but they lack the firepower to do much damage in the east.

@Mr. natural, it looks like it might be just you and me. Maybe I'll make up a little sign that says Maritimer and set it on the table I'm at. I hope to be there by game time or before.

I had more info but I can't sign in for some reason and lost it.
Basically, I think we are suffering from the Patrick Roy version of the "curse of the Babino", and he needs to be brought back into the organization to lift it. You want excitement behind the bench? There ya go! I don't care that he doesn't have NHL coaching experience. I know we'll see PLENTY of emotion from him every game. His Ramparts are here in Halifax tomorrow night. Should I go grav a CV from him to send to PG?

  11. @LD yes I cannot understand why Montreal has not been grooming him for GM job, starting with coach.

  12. Mr. natural12:11 PM

Therrien, I would vote for that.

    @maritimer. I'll see you there.

@all you other Retards, get off your asses and get down to Hurley's Saturday, make a PHucken' effort don't be like the Habs last night!!!

  13. I play until 1030 Saturday night but if something's going on I might come downtown for a pint.

  14. Ted Nolan. Period. The best coach not currently working, and maybe it's time the organization stops thinking language first, but actual coaching skill. We can always have the asst. coach translate.

Ted Nolan sounds good, especially since this team is half rookies

Patrick Roy is a decent choice too, or Guy Charbonneau, emotion and both winners. Why did Guy get fired to begin with is a mystery.

And whoever is in charge of PP, he needs to be flogged, THEN fired.

I dunno who, maybe it should be the whole team from the Anti-Chamber. Coach by committee. They will get a whole bunch of shit done. Specially having that Little Tigre on board. Ya know I don't give a fuck, but a change would be something that should be considered, we are drifting around like a rudderless ship, besides, I don't mind playing a little D, but save it for when you have a lead, or the playoffs. This whole D first thing has always bugged me.

D first is an issue with our smallish forwards, BUT dumping the puck at first opportunity is really infuriating..

A LOT of our shifts consist of running after puck, getting it, pass middle, dump it, line change, rinse and repeat...

And the line juggling, JM calling was the circus, but he couldn't muster the emotion to get in.

  18. Bob Dylan dominated Steve Jobs Ipod. Right now the Habs are playing Dont think twice its alright.

  19. Coulda had a urologist named Dr. Jagr. Six games 4 points, and he could show people how to shoot the puck other places than the crest on the goalies sweater.

Yeah, i never got 4.5 for Cole and not 3 for Yagr.
Especially WHEN WE COULD HAVE HAD BOTH!!! GAHHH

  22. Count Chokula is past his expiry date!

  23. I'd take Roy behind the bench any day and I'd have no problem welcoming Serge Savard back as GM but he's been away from the game for quite a while.

    ReplyDelete
  24. The GM has to be a judge of horseflesh. Has that skill changed? I dont know, I do know that Cole is a fucking bust, just like he was in Edmonton.

@Steve, I've noticed most new GM's are somebody else's assistant. The GM shouldn't have to be bilingual but it's a nice asset. Saint Patrick has been coaching in the Q for several years now. He should be able to run an NHL bench. Also, if he thinks he's being jobbed by a ref, he fucking well let's them know. I've seen it. He wouldn't stand there like a pantomime artist like some other coaches I know.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Could our Habs end up with the first GM+CoaCH combo in Roy? He could hire his son to deal with the mediots.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I have managed a little group of 50 people who needed me for there next paychek. I did it for four years and moved on to something better, and would never wish to manage people again. Dealing with 20 millionaires is a skill.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think its pretty obvious who should be next GM, me, I am bilingual, German and Japanese, dont ask me to pass the test.
The first question is, do you go for the playoffs or for the high draft pick?
    Draft pick all the way.

  29. Montreal has a very competitive team, but not a cup winner. Two years ago Jaro found the force, and last year TFS played well. You cant win the cup if you cant generate offence, and that is something lacking in our Habs as long as I can remember, when Claude Lemiux is your best player that were we are without Claude. I love Lego, but he is never going to score more than 20 goals and hit more than 60 points. Were fucking incredible hockey players are a commodity we need ultra fuck, and those players are top five draft picks.

    ReplyDelete
  30. What the crap. I actually have seen people scream that the Habs should have traded Price and kept Jaro. Obviously they've been in a drainage pipe for a year.

No Bob Hartley. Dude just led his German team to their own worst start ever.

No Carbo. Dude can't see beyond his own nose and his answer for everything is "BLOCK SHOTS!" or "PUT KOSTOPOULOS OUT!" He totally fucked up Team Canada's U-18 team and has been doing fuck all for a guy who really just wants to coach. I'd take him back as an assistant, but I doubt he'd go for that.

No Therrien. Must we recycle the guy who couldn't even get a rise out of Crosby/Malkin and was fired so they could win the Cup? He also makes no sense and mumbles. SOFF!

Dryden said the team needs to make a choice: to win or to be French. We've seen the latter. (And if they'd check their history, it's how the team started 100 years ago. Didn't work then). Being French is a cop out. Get a fucking translator. RDS translates their interviews anyway. I want to slap Tieman for his list of excuses as to why being French is so important...

    ReplyDelete
  31. Being French is not being English and thats a good thing. So Roy is the only choice then.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I laugh every time the mediots make a big deal about the team having a meeting. Honestly, I'd make a big deal if they didn't have meetings...

    Yawn.

    ReplyDelete
  33. @31m

Agree on the language issue. If it's more important than winning, then eff them and their whining. They're the architects of their own mediocrity, live with it.

So are we settled? Do we have a plan? I can grab Roy after the game in Hfx and be on the road by midnight. Somebody in Mtl needs to stuff JM into their trunk and drive far far away. I could be there by noon tomorrow in time for practice. Deal?
