flash news ~ Habs hit the dry heat ~ Yotes Preview 11/10

~ ~ ~
I'm hoping a little desert heat will thaw/warm up The System™ into a few offensive rushes and some goals for our (5-7-2) Habs, taking on the whiner-less Yotes (7-4-2). No FFSquid! No Tits! No Gomehs. Still no Vodkov. Palooka is playing. Too soon to say fuck it? meh, its a late game, we'll all be drunk whilst Kmaxx sleeps. NHL, TSN, RDS and PUKE have Previews of their own, so do the kids at PK'ists. juce gave us the 9h00pm-ish drop the puck time. Try staying up, you know you can do it. I've got tomorrow off so I can watCH and prep the Sexy Friday post simultaneously. Man I love Siri. She does almost anything I need, done.

Thanks for keeping the blog slogging on Moe, these are tough times being visited upon us under the sign of the Goat and the Wampire Bat. Maybe CHef Mouldstone can make an offer for the Yoyoties and move them to Montreal.
    GYFMFHG!!!!!

  2. Been staring at this blog for a hour now - and I started 3 different pieces analysing what was wrong with the Habs - I keep coming back to the same thing - they have the wrong coach! Players will play for a coach who motivates them. Guys like the Mexicant would thrive in an environment that catered to what they do best - score goals. Tits as well. Look at Little Tits! Look at Mcwhat'shisface in NYC - would he be that kind of player in Mtl? don't think so. Yemelin was a bright spot from the last game - will he play tonight? PFK can be a great but Martin is going to ruin him at this rate - destroy his confidence. Cole is fighting the system and trying to break out - sometimes he wins, sometimes he doesn't. The Habs game is so predictable that any team prepared and playing well will beat them. It won't be pretty but they will. And that is what scares me so much. All the planning by the Randys isn't worth shit if you can't win the faceoff after the timeout. Dumping the puck in and hoping to dig it out means you put way more pressure on our own D - because dumping is another way of saying T-U-R-N-O-V-E-R on 85% of the times it is done. Not putting your top scores and leaders on the PP is madness. Pleks on D on the PP is madness. Tits on the ebch on the PP is madness. Darche on the ice on the PP is madness. So maybe this all boils down to Jacques Martin...As much as I loved those 4 wins in a row, if the Habs had lost those games, he'd be gone and I'd have a new perspective...

Agreed KM, CHoculate Wampire has got to go. The two Randys should go back to Hamilton, maybe take CHoko with them. Then what? Kirk Muller? maybe...

  9. @juce - I'll be spared this one then - that's way way past my bedtime!

    GYMFHG!

(or not - I suppose any kind of extended losing streak might motivate Mr. Molson to fire someone else - but then...I'd feel real sorry for the physio or the toilet attendant in the dressing room - because they would be the ones who get fired - it would no doubt serve to motivate the guys - I can see it now - Hal Gill talking to the Mexicant "Oh man! Can you believe it Gomer - They fired Roland the Pissoire boy eh! - this time Mr. Gauthier is serious I think. Man if we don't win one tonight what's going to happen next? I'd like really hate to see Denis the Towel boy go...man that would be bad. We better skate harder tonight eh!")

The cupboard is pretty bare when it come to coaches. But I'm in total agreement, it doesn't take much time to plan for a game against us. Beige baby, bland, imagination free hockey. Fuck wouldn't it be great to see Scarface behind the bench screaming at Tits. Woa Woa Tabernak

  12. @Kmaxx, funny stuff and no offense, but here's hoping you miss a good one!

How 'bout this for a lineup :

    Pacioretty-Plekanec-Gionta
    Darche-Desharnais-Cole
    Palushaj-Eller-Moen
    Blunden-Nokelainen-Weber

    Cammy doubtful for tonight...

  14. I agree with 29. For our viewing pleasure two more points to piss away. I'm officially disgruntled.

  15. The Twitters confirm that Squid is out for tonight. We don't need scoring anyway.

  16. That I dont play in Montreal cause I am French shit again.

Sheldon Souray– We probably should add the Stars as a whole to this list. They’re first in the West with rookie coach Glen Gulutzan and getting key contributions from Loui Eriksson, Jamie Benn, Vern Fiddler as a third liner, and former Montreal linemates Mike Ribeiro and Michael Ryder, plus exceptional goaltending by Kari Lehtonen. But considering that Souray was banished to AHL Hershey by the Oilers last season, and considered by some to be an overpriced, divisive, one-dimensional flop, his return to the NHL with Dallas has been Lazarus-like. This goes beyond his impressive stats (4-8-12 and plus-10, tops among NHL defensemen). He’s playing a rugged game again. No longer slowed by the injuries that dogged him as an Oiler (chronic bad wrist and a concussion), he’s giving opponents something to think about when they carry the puck into the Stars’ end and has become a leader on the ice, setting the tone for the rest of the defense corps. The Stars are in Washington tonight to take on the Capitals in what could be a very physical match.

  17. Remember the prefect game in 1977 Russia 3 Montreal 3 or maybe it was zero zero, I was high for the entire 70's. Anyway, I have a sure fire Chocula winner. Hog the puck in your own end for the entire game, then in a shootout your guaranteed one point. I am fucking brilliant.

    ReplyDelete
  18. BaruCH3:00 PM

you are brilliant Steve! Every game goes to a shootout =82pts, and we win half of those = 123 points!, even winning a quarter of them 102 points! we are so in!

I'm beyond disgruntled. I hope they lose until the fucking vampire has a stake finally driven through his dull, bland heart.

Habs face two more "hot" goalies in Mike Smith and Pekka Rinne. But then, they make every goalie in the league look like Georges Vezina.

  27. Even though its on pirate radio, I will not watch this game. A team that is dessert sand playing a team that has no sand. We are not that fucking stupid that we cheer these meaningless games. Its like basketball, the last two minitees. So lets have a 20 game season and a 80 game playoff.

    Fuck that shit.

    I want a coaCH that gives me a 4-2-0.

Thats 4 forwards and 2 goalies and 0 CHances you score on me. Is there a rule against to goalies? Try scoring kessel, you fucking ugly circus midget.

  35. Anyone noticed that since Blunden started really throwing hits, he's been benched? What the fuck is that?

I was thinking tonight's game would be ok, because Tippet demands structure and Habs usually counter well with that, and then I saw Cammalleri got jumped in the lower body region, thus out for tonight. Sigh.

Time for some defencemen to start scoring. (Looking at you, PK). Patches can't be our only offense... (Also wtf Weber on the 4th line, Darche on the 2nd? ARGH!)

  73. Mr. natural10:07 PM

*Sigh* Look like it or not we're stuck with CHocula for the foreseable future, but someone has to be able to bury the PHucken' puck.

Really think about how many open nets, posts, wide shots, breadbaskets, weak-assed wrist shots, bad breaks etc etc that we've seen in 14 games, it's really only a matter of a goal more every second game and we are league leaders instead of barely there.

The difference between missing the cut and getting through the first round of the playoffs is minimal, all we need to do is get there and then it really is a totally new season.

I haven't been this upset so early in the season in probably 15-20 years but I try to keep the faith, this team can rise to the occasion but I fear they will have to be big boy millionaires and have more pride than the next guy to get it done 'çause CHocula sure ain't gonna inspire them, PHuck!

Anyway, tough tough week at work, too much overcompensation with booze but GYMFHG!

We need a good old fashioned riot to stir up some passion, and WTF was up with the PHucktards Vs. Bolts? Pretty shitty hockey and even worse decisions by the refs, of course supported by the midget PHuckPHace Buttmman.

OK I'm loaded and outta here.
