Game time 3:30 P.M. EST.

  1. My sister is going to the game today and she's convinced my little nephew, who is a King's fan to wear his Hab jersey instead. Poor kid.

@Steve, That rant was fucking incredible. I have no idea what it all meant, but still...

I think I will sit down this afternoon and watch the useless fucks. Hey, I'm still a fan of the Montreal Canadiens. I'm just waiting for the day when they actually have a great team again. Don't know which decade it will take place but hopefully before I have to go to the nursing home and have my diapers changed for me.

Steve, I absolutely bow down before your art. How does it feel to operate at billions and billions of exploding/bursting/screaming-in-joy synapses? Do you feel inhibited by the 26 letter alphabet?

  10. OMG, I was just cleaning/recycling contents of my kitchen cupboards and came upon an old NHL glass, It had NHL, sucking broons and leaf logos.
I am so sorry, it is all my fault.
Alas, I shall now smash it to smithereens and the wretched, evil curse shall be broken.

    GO HABS GO!

I'm watching this game on leafbc, yeah I know, Cold and Gallery, but anyway Gallery is saying the Habs can hang around the 8th spot due to TFS and when they get all their injured defence back they can make a push. WTF????

Who are they missing besides Spacek? Markov this Markov that, fuck we haven't seen him in two fucking years. I don't care about Markov anymore. He's done forget about him and move on. Campoli - he played one exhibition game. Big fucking deal.

The Ghost built this defence. He let Hamrlik, Sopel and Wiz walk. He knew his D was going to contain Weber, Diaz and Emelin for the most part. The only sure things he had were Gorges, Gill and Subban. So this is what it is.

    This is Gauthier's team. Period.

  27. Okay, I caved and turned on the TV for the 2nd. This team is my crack and I'm just not ready to quit it. But, man, did that Markov news throw me for a loop.

I can't believe he needs more surgery. I mean, it's so frustrating to watch. I can't imagine how hard it is for him.

  30. According to Pat Hickey, Markov was ready to play through the pain and swelling. Hab's management prefer he go through this last step. I don't blame them for being cautionary.

Oh yeah, welcome back moe! I hope you're tanned and rested.

    WV - chill

  44. Silly question: when they say a team is now .500, what does it mean?

    ReplyDelete
  45. @juce - it's winning percentage, excluding overtime and shootout losses. The Habs have won 11 games and lost 11 in regulation. So 11 wins divided by 22 total equals .500.

    Hope that helps.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Thanks iRiRi, it's clear to me now.

What a dilemma for them. Guess it's the toss of the coin.
Too bad they can't both lose.

    ReplyDelete
  49. ti-cul9:05 PM

@ juce; like moey (i think) said the other day " i hope a meteor lands in the middle of the ice and they both loose". that about sums it up.

Went to my first Sea Dogs game of the season. Nathan Beaulieu was flying and netted the game winner in OT against Shawinigan. The future looks good even if the present is a little murky.

Also, Michael Bournival, another Habs prospect scored a nice goal in tight. I missed the end of the Habs game but I heard they won. Guess Chocula is safe for a little longer.
