RÇ heads to La Florida to play the Habs South ~ Tampa Preview 12/29

~ ~ ~
Like many snowbirds is taking his hot team south to enjoy some sun and hopefully some on ice fun. The arena should be packed with pasty white Québecois, even some blue-tinted péquistes to round out the pro-Habs crowd. Previews from tsn, nhl, rds, COTUers. Puck hits the ice at 7h30. Get your SP4hF and meet you in the comments.

I hope Steve is OK. Looked like he was heading off the deep end yesterday.

Is it not perfectly OK to have an anglo head coach wiht a franco/bilingual assistant to do the french interviews? Seems logical. Therefore it'll never work.

What are FHFers' thoughts on McSplooge for GM? I admit to being torn. Though I couldn't stand the sound of him, I do think he has a decent hockey mind. Bring Julien Brisebois as the cap expert/asst. gm too?

I dunno. We'll see what transpires with RC and the remainder of this season I guess before making ridiculous suggestions like this. So forget you just read this. Except for Steve. Never forget.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Keep McSplooge far, far away...

    ReplyDelete
  5. @31,

I'd like to see McSplooge land a GM job somewhere just to see how he would do. If anyone thinks he should be with the Habs just remember we wouldn't have Carey Price, he was dead against that draft pick.

    ReplyDelete
  6. mcsplooge can take his affections for teenage boys somewhere else.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I would like to see McSplooge become an analyst in the Southeast Asian Cricket Klatch (SACK), which I do not nor never will have on my sports TV package.

I think I'd have to quit the Habs if they ever let that loud mouthed schnook be the GM. I prefer the Sounds of Silence from the Ghost.

  9. RC looks like G.W.Bush in the pic.

  10. Blame my non-GGish graphic skills.

  12. If we could sweep Florida that would go a long way to making me happy. GYFHG

moe you've outdone yourself with beautiful pics in this post

got it. Big effin 'no' to McSplooge. Gotta say I don't miss his man on boy crushes at the WJ's this year. Ray Ferraro = meh. He'll soon be a died in the wool leaf lovin' machine too.

2 hockey games to go with poker tonight. It's a good day.

Cheers. You guys are awesome. Not you steve.

    ReplyDelete
  15. @ The Saint, ray ferra-ROAR is a Habs-hating stooge. Our Steve is cool, he's an acquired taste.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Heading out for dinner. Be good to each other (and Steve!).

    ReplyDelete
  17. the Maritimer5:23 PM

@moe, I don't know that Ferraro is a hab hater. He sure hated Max Lapierre though. I also think he is more of an Islander Whalercane stooge.

As far as the laffs, their days in the top eight are numbered, their goalies are overrated and defence highly suspect. The only reason for their success was they were scoring goals like crazy but the opposition has figured them out and cooled them off.

Have a good game CoaCH Randy!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Bon apetit, moeman.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Ray FerraROAR is Captain Obvious in his comments, and then takes a useless jab at himself.
    Something like this:
"Look at this play! I'm gonna tell you about a total textbook hockey play where they're gonna put the puck OFF THE BOARDS and out. Absolutely incredible. I totally couldn't do that when I was a player"

    ReplyDelete
  38. iRiRi I will drink tea (with rum) in solidarity with your flu

    ReplyDelete
  39. Thanks, 29. Better than tea and Buckley's. That stuff really does taste awful.

Nice jump since the PP goal. Hope they can keep it up.

And hey, back off, Brett Clark!

    ReplyDelete
  40. @iRiRi - hang in there - something tells me that by NYE you'll be much better

    ReplyDelete
  41. RDS just referred to that last shift as "les misadventures de Hal Gill" A bit fuck more than that - more like "l'estie jeu de merde de le cris de conqui s'appele Hal Gill"

    Sory for the spelling...

    ReplyDelete
  42. well except for pfk's late penalty and les mesaventures de Hall Gill, a decent period since the goal

Vinnie sure ain't the player he used to be.

But I'd trade Gomereaha for him straight up and eat the extra years of contract.

    ReplyDelete
  49. that's an acceptable excuse Kmaxx. especially as it's almost 2 am for you. your dedication to the Habs and drinking should be admired

    ReplyDelete
  59. sweet sausage from patCHes there

    ReplyDelete
  60. the Maritimer8:53 PM

Eric Cole is the best winger they've had since Stephane Richer. Props to the Goat for signing him.

    ReplyDelete
  61. It's scary but Steve's right.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Steve's meds are at that sweet spot where he's always right

    ReplyDelete
  63. Not gonna lie, I was a TAD worried about Cole not being able to score without Staal beside him but he definitely proved me wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  64. the Maritimer8:56 PM

I guess it took 4 games to purge the "chokulate" from their system. Who knew they could skate like this?

    ReplyDelete
  65. iRiRi - you want to get better don't cha? Well don't fall into the retrospective trap and bring yourself back ill by thinking of things long since disposed of. The system is dead - Long live RC!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. ick TFS that was terrible

oh sure, like Toronto will save us

    ReplyDelete
  67. INTENT TO BLOW! INTENT TO BLOW! INTENT TO BLOW!

    ReplyDelete
  68. it's like I told that cop about the hooker "there was no intent to blow"

    ReplyDelete
  69. like i said, no help from Toronto

    ReplyDelete
  75. attaboy Kmaxx! it's already Friday there, so it's the weekend, so you're ok

    ReplyDelete
  76. *coughs* *coughs* *coughs*

Come on, Habs, MY WELLBEING DEPENDS ON IT.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Intent to fucking blow asshats. You can't CHANGE YOUR MIND and give them a goal just because. What the fuck?!

Fucking Sun Belt assholes, always happens against these fucking teams. (Mostly Carolina).

    ReplyDelete
  78. It all started to go wrong with that random chat about the system. Can we ban any further mention of the system please. I hate regulation as much as most of you however there are certain things I am in favour of - life should mean life for example. Paedophiles should never be freed in any circumstances is another. And this blog should not make random references to "the system" except in circumstances of intense humour and ridicule.

    ReplyDelete
  79. 6-0 Canada midway in the 2nd

The System is dead!!! Long live the New System!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Tin foil hat on: Only against MTL can the age old ref call oin the ice stands when a whistle is blown be overturned. DAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn it.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Yeah baby, we'll take both games tonight!
GO HABS GO! GO COACH! GO CANADA GO!

    leaf suck broons.

Apparently the ref to Toronto that he blew the whistle because he thought the play was finished, if he had of said intent, well, y'all know.

Just came out from under my blankie. Did I ever mention it's a Habs blankie?

@29 Been watching WJC in between, but that channel isn't in HD for me and looks like crap in comparison, I'll google him later.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Srsly, upon reflection, the call on the ice was no goal. intent to blow, blow, whatever. then 3000 miles away Toronto there was neither a blow or intent. fuck Toronto

    ReplyDelete
  83. Somewhere Chris Lee is smiling...oh and go Canada!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Chris Lee = rectal orifice, fucking asshole.

    ReplyDelete
  85. the Maritimer9:23 PM

If that goal had been scored by Montreal it would have been waved off. Correct?

    ReplyDelete
  86. it WAS waved off on the ice Maritimer. it was Toronto that decided it was a goal. but yes, had Montreal scored it Toronto would certainly have upheld the ruling on the ice

    ReplyDelete
  87. so Kmaxx what delicious English ale are you imbibing, good sir?

    ReplyDelete
  88. oh fuck me. fuck Toronto

    ReplyDelete
  89. SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE!

    ReplyDelete
  90. right, like Toronto will overturn this

    ReplyDelete
  91. @29 - nothing special - Carling Lager - but just poured myself a SoCo with Ice - them they fuckin' scored and I almost spilled it...Almost...

    ReplyDelete
  92. Disallow the sucker!

    ReplyDelete
  93. well duh

    FUCK THE LEAGUE

    ReplyDelete
  94. RDS keeps referring to Garon as le gardien Quebecois, biased fucks.

    ReplyDelete
  95. we deserve better in this game

CMON BOYS REACT TO THE ADVERSITY. EVERYONE IS AGAINST YOU

    ReplyDelete
  96. Habs getting hosed. They're gonna lose this game because that 2nd period goal.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Is it just me or do the refs seem to take an eternity to blow the whistle in our end?

    ReplyDelete
  98. Come out fighting and win the damn game!

    GO HABS GO!

    ReplyDelete
  99. OH FUCK ME FUCK THIS GAME

    ReplyDelete
  100. Yzerman better have sent Toronto a beautiful Christmas gift.

Also, hey Habs why not try their schtick (ie. pile into the crease and hope the puck finds it's way in)

    ReplyDelete
  101. For once I wish they would just be out of it from the start. No more collapses. That is the pathetically low bar I've set for the Montreal Canadiens going into 2012. Lose by the 2nd period instead of collapsing in the 3rd. Somewhere, the Rocket wipes a tear from his eye.

    ReplyDelete
  102. @31: That would require testoterone and a will to win. And you know, dignity.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I got an idea! Once the whistle blows, shoot the puck in the net! It'll count!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Oh well...at least I'm getting a good night's drinking in before the New Year.

    ReplyDelete
  105. CMON BOYS CASH THIS

    ReplyDelete
  106. I have got to lay off the all caps

    ReplyDelete
  107. NO SUCH THING, 29. CAPS LOCK IS MY BEST FRIEND WHEN WATCHING THIS TEAM.

    ReplyDelete
  108. FUCK YOU TORONTO

    and you killed iRiRi

    ReplyDelete
  109. More Buckley's, please :(

    ReplyDelete
  110. Oh well at least it was exciting

    ReplyDelete
  111. A shambles of an organization.

    ReplyDelete
  112. can someone suggest to the anitchamber English subtitles?

    ReplyDelete
  113. Someone tell me the leaf lost...please!

    ReplyDelete
  114. Thank god for these comments. Seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Toronto lost in OT.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Steve - stay away from l'AC tonight - they will talk all night about MAB and every other fuckin ex Hab. Also the "Gardien Quebecois Garon" will feature heavily...

    ReplyDelete
  117. Next time there is a call to Toronto. RC should just concede, the call goes against us we know, lets play.

    ReplyDelete
  118. sorry, score was 4-3 still get a freaking pt.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Well that's something...I guess...

    ReplyDelete
  120. Gallagher scores goal #10 for Canada, shorthanded.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Hey, they could save time next time they call Toronto and just ask them to rule on any future plays which might come up during the game and they wouldn't need to bother them further.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Night all, feel better iRiRi.

    ReplyDelete
  123. OK - NYE in the UK happens around game time on Saturday so possibly won't be around until very late into the game...if at all...So in case I don't get a chance - Happy New Year to everyone here on this fucking awesome blog. Moeman and the M, juce, Orangeman, iRiRi, Moey, Number 31, Habsfan29 and Steve (apologies as I've left tons of you off...) This place feels like home and keeps me as sane as possible. Here's to 2012 and...aw fuck - who knows what it will bring. Let's hope it just brings us some decent hockey. I love you all!! Goodnight|! (sorry - very drunk - shouldn't have started on the shots...)

    ReplyDelete
  124. NYE happens here before most of you sleep off the Friday night hangover. Off to the country-side, tune into the 2018 Olympics to see where. Not quite developed out there yet, but I imagine in 7 years it'll be full of kimbap shops and barber polls (Steve knows what I'm talking about).

    ReplyDelete
  125. Looked back to find these stats:

Habs out scored 34-26 in the 3rd period.

    When leading after 2: 11-3-1

    When tied after 2: 1-2-1

    When scoring first: 8-6-2

*These do not include the Nov 25 game against Philthy (can't find the boxscore anywhere...I'm afraid to type more about it in case I go 'missing', too).

Those are terrible stats. I'm actually pretty shocked at the 11-3-1 record after 2. But most of those 11 wins they still allowed several 3rd period goals.

Anyway, have a nice NYE everyone. Don't watch the game if you want that to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  126. I missed an intentional blowjob?

    ReplyDelete
  127. Happy New Year's Kmaxx.

    Latvia's goalie is named Elvis!
Also Grigorenko just got hurt. Maybe Habs won't need to tank much for him...

    ReplyDelete
  128. Crap. And so was my homemade pizza that stuck to the pan when we had company. But all is not lost. I refuse to give up on this team. Let's just hope they feel the same way.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Wiz is broken. This year is shit. But hey, 2012 is up next eh? I hear something doom-y might happen according to some Mayans. Guess the Bruins win the Cup again. *barf*

    ReplyDelete
  130. Ugly thy name is 14-0 Russia.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Hadulf8:09 AM

Ha ha ha - Fucking dumb (habs) fucks, I give up.

    ReplyDelete

Actually it is not that hard to download flight
simulators. Most of us has a chance to experience the amazing adventure of some kind
of aircraft simulators. You can train up your hobo so that you can kill other
hobos even more easily, and it is a very addicting
game. The main purpose of a simulator is
to understand the behavior of the system. The instruments that lag in
real life, lag correctly, gyro drift is modeled correctly,
the magnetic compass is subject to aircraft body
forces - all those things that make real world flying a challenge are present.
