Too many fucking loser points ~ Habs get blown

~ ~ ~

Price was honest.
“It’s eating me alive,” he said,
adding “I don’t like to lose.”

God we can be so PHuckin' crappy.

@moey just kidding and Mrs. n knows I'm a big dumb joker, no offense?:)

    Painful watching this team.

GBH looked pretty good, guess that's why his ice time got reduced as the game wore on, felt bad for CHocula he didn't have Gomereha to play for 20 minutes of the final 40.

I guess since we didn't break the record for the worst PP streak we are now vying to set a turnovers in the neutral zone record.

We will not beat anyone with this type of play and effort

Thank God for Tits, Cole and PK.

OK going to cry myself to sleep now.

  2. All I want for Chanukah is an Emelin 74 shirt.

  3. So if losing to the worst team in the league doesn't get someone fired...what does exactly?

20 SOG's nwhen you are playing against an AHL goalie tells me the "system" is well and truly fucking broken. There is no plan. There is no inspiration and there will be no playoffs in 2012.

Not ready to give up completely - but I'm getting closer by the game.

I find myself getting halfway through a game and then switching it off and doing something else. They are playing uninspired hockey. Nobody gives a shit and it shows. When AK is our bright light of offensive emotion we are in a dark place. I'll say it again that this team is a reflection of that dull unemotional lump behind the bench. I think it's clear now what Captain Kirk brought to the table.

  7. Also not watching full games anymore. Sometimes not watching at all. Haven't done this since the bad old late 90's early 00's. Not good.

  8. @dwgs, I passed on last nights as well, but would love some extended game highlights, especially the Gremlin hits.

Oh yeah the first 911 happened in Hawaii on this day. Tora Tora Tora bitches.

  12. I'm with Chester and dwgs.

Didn't watch yesterday and not watching tomorrow either and I'm not even mad.

They're so boring and predictable to watch. Even when they win, is it entertaining? Not really. I don't know about you guys, but watching them desperately hold onto a 2-1 lead for 2 periods isn't my idea of a good (hockey) time.

The system was tolerable for the past two years when they were winning more often than not and Kirk Muller was there to motivate them. This year? It's become unbearable.

    Something's gotta change...

Moey and Steve, you are both right about the corporate speak. Sad, really. Not unlike ML$E, the Montreal Canadiens have become primarily a money generating machine. They have history and not much else these days. I sometimes wonder if winning is really important anymore. Filling the Bell Centre is probably more important but if this crap keeps up I can see more empty seats appearing. I noticed quite a few when I was up there in October at the Florida game.

If I was Mr. Molson, I would
    1. Fire Martin.
    2. Get a coach that wants a more up tempo game played with an active D. Unleash PFK and let him use his offensive skills like Karlsson in Ottawa.
    3. Any forwards that don't start earning their paychecks by scoring some goals (I'm looking at you #13) offer them around the league for whatever picks or prospects you can get. The offense needs to be rebuilt from now until next October. All these under-sized forwards need to be weeded out.

Gainey's rebuild is a flop. Time to start over.

I bailed last night at the end of regulation. I may watch Thursday night because Vancouver is a good team worth the effort. Saturday afternoon against the Devils? Fuck that shit. I'd rather watch paint dry.

Yeah I hear all of you, shit hockey to watch, especially as iriri said hanging on for two periods and then only to lose on most nights.

It was said here many times, Kirk was our biggest loss.

I had hope but it is dashed, if they were at this same stage, 28 points in 28 games, but at least had burned down the barn occasionally I would be a much happier fan.

I think many of the players have given up on CHocula and his shitstem.

Still going next Thursday, you know it's the PHucktards and MR. n holds a special place, black and full of hatred, in his heart for those pieces of shit, anyway it's getting to the point that their performance is undermining the fun on this site.

  16. I forgot to mention: IF they're able to even get a 2-1 lead to begin with.

Conor Mckenna brought up a great question last night on TSN990. Out of their wins, are there any that were convincing? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

  17. Mr. n,

Of course no offense taken. Don't be silly.

    The M,

Maybe you misunderstood me. Yes it's pretty much run like a corporation, but just because Molson said on record that he's fine with the Gomez, the coach etc. doesn't mean a hell of a lot. He's not going to call them pieces of monkey poop and promise to sack them by the end of the week.

I find it hard to believe that he's okay with not getting into the playoffs. He's a business man and every cent of playoff revenue is pure profit. The regular season earnings pay the players salaries etc.

We'll just have to wait and see but right now it's no fun at all. They're giving us nothing to cheer about.

Moey, I understood what you said. I was kind of kidding a bit mixing you in with Steve's wacky comment. Molson won't throw them under the bus...yet. I think the only thing saving JM's ass is the fact they are mathematically very close to that coveted playoff spot and the guaranteed two revenues.

They would obviously never admit it but I think the players are tired of JM and his system. It's just a matter of time and he's gone. In the meantime I'll pick my games to watch based on the quality of opponent.

Over at H/IO someone said there was talk that Gainey and Carbo are waiting in the wings. Guess they kissed and made up. Don't know if they would make a difference but it might be interesting at least.

  19. @ the M,

I hope they're waiting in the wings to lace 'em up. We need all the help we can get.

@iriri: Whalercanes,PHucktards, Rangers that's it I think and in today's NHL every team has off nights.

    @moey :)

@The M & moey: It's all about the money and Ws = $, so Molson does have a limit to his patience and I would beg to differ, they are not mathematically close, at least not as close as just 4 games ago.

With each mini-series, like the west coast trip, or a homestand etc where they come away with a point per game (4 points in the last 4 games) they are getting further away from #8, the past week has spread the gap, sure spot 7 & 8 are within reach but the Sabres have 2 games in hand and Ottawa 1, the Senators may be reachable but they are 6-2-2 in the last 10 as opposed to the Habs 3-4-3.

Looks like they understand the fact that they gotta work together as opposed to the Habs who look like they are imploding, well at least 80+% of the time.

    OK that's all for now.

  21. I have been a JM defender up until now. I thought he got the most out of what he had for the past two years. But that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Muller must have been a bigger part of their success than I gave him credit for. But what do I know, I thought the Gainey/Carbo tandem was going to be great. *sigh*

I'll just go back to my crocheting now.

  24. @Mr. n - W against the Canes? complete no show by the Canes and one that probably sealed the deal for their coach. W against PHucktards? Also, incredibly poor effort by them.

So... 1 convincing W out of 11? PLAN THE PARADE!

(Not sure I understood who you meant had the off nights? The Habs or every team?)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Mr. natural5:48 AM

@iriri: all teams. Also agree with the "no-show" by whalercanes & 'tards.

We're splitting hairs here, the fact is we are on the same page, Habs are broken....
