They'll drive us to drink ~ Sexy Friday Pens Preview ~ 1/20

~ ~ ~
Price, who figures to be in net, stopped 67 of 74 shots in those two matchups, and feels facing the Penguins can bring out the best in him. "Probably because they scare the daylights out of me," Price told the team's official website. Yikes, TFS™ is afraid of the flightless birds. Forfeit FFS and pound back some of the hard stuff,. You know The Goat is. Previews from rds, nhl, tsn, HabsH8. Yeah! TFS™ sees playoff daylight. "It's still doable," Price said. "We just have to get on our horse and start riding. "I'm not going to talk about frustration anymore, it's beyond that. We've got to figure out a way to curb that and figure out a way to do it." G Y F H G ! and Moey too!

  1. Lovely images. Just to prove that Dave Stubbs is wrong, I was looking at stats last night. On the BA side, the goals against are consistent with middle of the top eight, give or take. Could be, should be, a lot better, but could be, should be in contention. Then we get to the BP side, the tanker and oil spill side, emphasis on the tanker, all of those third period let's trap and loose by one goal periods add up. And as long as we're caring long term compare l'Artiste with Cammaleri on the power play in that spot. Is he still around for a limited engagement. Pay him by the minute played. Or consider this what if.... Mark Streit offered more $ than the Islanders could afford. Or for that matter the Urologist for Campoli. That and a little f--king body movement on the Power play. No sex without movement boys. Your a man up. Let's put some motion in the ocean.

    1. Not sure Boucher is the answer. We could all be sitting in a "beware the devil you know" situation. If you think about where the Habs were before Martin was let go and where they are now - they haven't gotten any better. Granted the hockey they are playing is, at times, more interesting, but it isn't producing them much in the way of results. Would their record be any worse if Martin was still running things? Would it be any better? And don't get me wrong here - I was leading the charge for him to go because I hated the hockey he was making the Habs play - I guess I never really thought about who would replace him and I don't think I would have figured it to be RC...

    2. Good stuff KmaXXX. Just linking to the thn piece as it struck a cord of interest. I have nothing against RÇ and I'd give him as much time to get 'his' team going, even into next year. Imagine the bleu balled médiots splooging over Boucher and no one asking them to explain themselves and what this means, to them;

The idea of the Habs not in the playoffs this early in the year is not something I can compute properly, no matter how much the brain(and everyone else) tells me it ain't gonna happen. If it doesn't happen it doesn't happen but it doesn't happen until APRIL! It's not in my DNA to sit here in January and write off the season.

  51. e's OK - before we get all "we don't need you" on TFS, let's remember a couple of things...he's played as many games as any other goalie and he's had a some pretty shit defence in front of him. He' slet in some soft goals but he's made some shit hot saves to keep the Habs in games they had no business being in. He's not TFS for his fuckin' horseback riding - he's a really good goalie with the potential to be great. Don't eat our young just yet guys. We need him.

    I agree that we need a Budi call tomorrow - TFS has nothing to prove and if the Habs win tonight (and that's a big "if" i will admit - but if he does, then give him the start tomorrow night. Fuck the leaf!

    You're right. Also, 11 out of 17 losses against TFS the team scored 1 or less goals. Kinda hard to win that way. But in saying that, he needs to be better than he is right now. I say play the hot hand, we need all the points we can get.

      Yeah, I read or heard about those stats and they are not new. The offense seems to dry up when Price is playing. He did seem to be asleep the other night against the Caps. It happens from time to time. Fleury is a sieve compared to Carey but he has two of the best players in the world playing in front of him. Huge difference. Montreal's defence is crap as well. Carey will be fine.
