  1. As I briefly mentioned I was at the Sens-Isles game. I like to focus on a specific player during the game. I chose to observe Karlsson’s play. he beauty of this kid's game is he is allowed to play it. He fumbled and stumbled a few times but his coach gives him all the rope he needs to let loose his skill. He actually makes those on the ice with him, even vets like Alfie and Spezza, better. Michalek seeks out the feeds. He is a joy to watch. I read somewhere he has as many or more points than the CotU's kessposito.

  5. Mr. natural5:57 AM

Missed the game yesterday as we had guests over(Mrs. n's B-day today) and Buttman's new PHuckin' stupid NHL schedule, seems planned to reduce viewership, so just how bad was the sucktitude? I see we managed to jump out 2-0 and then fold completely *Sigh* glad I didn't get to watch...Die Laffs Die, looks like a tough 4 games out of the next 6, as well we get to participate in spoiling their hopes.

I would say the only thing that is coming to Montreal today is futures.

I hope they keep Moen as well. They need all the grit they can get.

Big trades aren't going to help this team. Hopefully, the ground work has already been laid for the rebuild and the fans have to be patient. Some big names are coming up as UFA's in 2013. My personal fantasy would see Sid pulling on the sainted flannel.

  12. I would love to see Sid in a Habs jersey. If only.

It'd be really nice if Gomez and Kaberle were gone today but I doubt that very much. If they do go, then don't ask for anything for Christmas since it means we've already gotten our gifts early.

Chicago needs D, send them both Kraperle and his sister Can'tpoli for......NOTHING! Ok, some sticks and tape. Cap space would be welcome. Trade Gomez to the Alaska Aces of the ECHL for some king crab, about 50lbs would be sufficient.

I'd also settle for Boston bringing him back. I'd love to see them have a brainfart, think he's a good luck charm and pick him up. God that would make my day.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I think a couple of things...firstly I don't think the Goat should be doing any deals if he isn't here long term. Secondly, I don't really think the Habs have anyone that THEY want rid of who is actually worth anything more than picks. Getting rid of Tits for a 2nd round pick seems like a steal in some ways but then again, when the Habs have really needed him, Tits has been AWOL. No real heart day in day out. If the Preds are looking to make a deep playoff run and think that they have just secured the missing piece to their Stanley Cup puzzle...well I'm not so sure. Then again the Habs do have a habit of bringing out the best in former players.

  58. Excert:

The 27-year-old Staubitz has posted a minus-7 with no points in 43 games with the Wild this year.

The Wild had been looking to find Staubitz a new home after the 27-year-old forward cleared waivers on February 11.Staubitz was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by San Jose. He has scored eight goals and 10 assists in 196 career games with the Wild and Sharks.

He is in the final year of a two-year deal he signed with the Wild worth an average annual value of $575,000. The Canadiens will only have to pay half that salary and only half of Staubitz's average annual value will count towards Montreal's salary cap number.

He is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2011-12 season.

The deadline for players claimed off waivers to be eligible for post-season play was Monday at Noon et.

    - seeing the skinny, jerky, ill-suited pfuck daddy jerk was fucking hilarious, never thought he'd be douchier 'live' on the teevee than on his POS leaf blog

    - Boone may love him some burke but if you caught any of his post deadline media bash, you'd have to wonder why

    - yes, The Goat is a weird, ghastly and ghostly (see what I did there?) figure but burke is beyond being a blustery blowhard, funny not a single CotU mediot will take him on, what are they afraid off?

    - nice CV entry duthie

    - why does sportsnet hire nothing but ex-goons and ex-goon lovers? When pat quinn (I know, he 'won' a gold medal) is the only sane individual on a panel of 70 people, you've got issues, or a dumb as rocks fan base (aka, leaf fan).

Wasn't expecting much today although I was hoping they could move one of those soft as DQ ice cream defencemen. I figured Tits was a gonner, was hoping for a first or a prospect D at least. I guess the Habs triumverate decided to wait until the off season to conduct their business, well, probably minus one of the menage a trois. Looks like the same lame bunch will play out the string, I might watch the odd game but they aren't a priority anymore.

I can see a big rebuild coming though, Turtleplexxx is not safe and the Habs will get amnesty on Gomereaha. Kraperle will be plying his trade just west of the Cotu and sniffing diesel fumes. I can't see Molson letting his team flounder, Montreal fans will not go to the Bell to see a shitty product like leaf fans. They are going to be bigger and tougher next year.
