Misery loves CHompany ~ Habs vs. FLA ~ Preview & Game thread

~ ~ ~
They say misery loves CHompany
We could start a CHompany and make misery

4HFrustrated, inCHorporated
I don't know just what they need
Lottery might just be the thing
I know that you’d Nail it to see

Put me out of my fucking misery
I do this for you, would you do it for me
We will NOT always be busy making misery

We could build a faCHtory and make misery
Geoff create the cure; kill the losing disease

4HFrustrated, inCHorporated
4HFrustrated, inCHorporated
Well I know just what we need
I might just have the thing
I know what you’d Nail it to feel

Put me out of my fucking misery
All you 4th line kings and you no scoring queens
Forever after happily, making misery

Did you satisfy your greed, get what you need
Was it only envy, so empty

4HFrustrated, inCHorporated
4HFrustrated, inCHorporated

4HFrustrated, inCHorporated (put me out of my fucking misery)
4HFrustrated, inCHorporated (I blog it for you, would you do it for me)
4HFrustrated, inCHorporated (forever after happily)
4HFrustrated, inCHorporated (making blog history)

  4. Ta-dan~!

Brendan Gallagher has just set the new Giants franchise record for regular season points with his empty netter vs Kamloops (274 pts). (He tied the record earlier in the game).

Nathan Beaulieu broke the Sea Dogs franchise record for points for defencemen a little while ago beating out Simon Depres' totals. Just thought I would point that out.

BTW, the Sea Dogs first playoff game will be broadcast nationally on Sportsnet and on TVA in Quebec for those so inclined to check out Habs prospects.

Funny how I speculated the same thing Tony Marinaro "broke" last night and I posted long before that was reported. Is that a bad thing? It's the only thing that made any sense to me re: Gomez.

    2. Not surprised that your speculation was dead on. Wonder if Molson is simply making a denial. If he really is calling the shots, why not just come clean? To save face?
Given the season we've had, something has got to give, who else on the totem pole can Gauthier make accountable/fire that he hasn't already, surely, he's next on the chopping block?

      Delete
    3. He's absolutely going to deny it because they never made an official announcement and probably won't until the season ends. Makes sense to me.

      Delete
    4. I'm sure the biggest reason is because there's been enough drama/turmoil surrounding the team, no need to add more,

Dead on Moey. I think they (he) just wants to get the season over so they can start preparing for next year. Gauthier is a dead duck I'm sure. They will probably put him back in the scouting circle. Holy fuck, I just had a really bad thought. What if they make Martin the new GM? Yikes!!

    8. Like every hockey club, the GM is the head of Hockey Ops. But it's in Hockey Ops group where all the decisions are made. It's a group of people that include the GM, the assistant GM, the consultants and the rest of their development staff (meet with scouts, etc) who put forth various ideas and then they decide on them. Molson is the big boss who signs the cheques so yea he needs to know because he'll need to agree on paying a coach to not-coach or whatever. Gainey explained it all on the radio not long ago during a Bulldogs game...

Tony Marinaro just likes to hear himself talk. I'd rather he just stuff his face with food and shaddup. A scoop that's not really a scoop! Must be bored spreading trade rumours from false "insiderrrrrs" Twitter accounts.

    9. @31 Thank you for the insight, I don`t listen to talk radio, unless of course, I know that one of you will be on.

      Delete
    10. I've stopped listening to talk radio thanks to some new Doctor Who audio books (my life savers). Cool thing with Bulldogs games is sometimes they interview a scratched/injured player or someone in the organization every now and then during one of the intermissions. Bob's at their games quite often.

  6. I don't think Molson is acknowledging being in charge right now because a lot of this mess the Habs are in would be seen as his fault. The fact is, the Habs are stuck with people like Gomez and FULC and Campoli because no one else wants them. It's all good to be "Sellers" at the trade deadline but everyone they need to sell NO ONE WANTS!

    1. Maybe he should have stepped up to the plate sooner, some of this mess may not have been made. Wait, does Molson have say in what Gauthier did (FULC, Markov) etc..does he make those decisions alone or does he just rubber-stamp?

      Delete
    2. I'm thinking...it's GM's money that PG is spending so he'll have a say - probably a form of rubber stamp but a say nonetheless...it can be a lot of money after all

  7. Why has TiTs not been resigned? Even at $3.5 he is a steal. He is a 200ft player, who is tough to play against, and once every twenty games is a dominant force.

  12. Hey Hey!! Just noticed the game starts at 10 pm GMT - a 5 pm eastern start...what's with all the bizarre start times this year? Not that I'm complaining - makes it a little earlier for me to get to bed, or watch the Oscars if I am so moved...which I doubt...
