  1. Meh.

And they sent Schultz back to Hamilton. Couldn't Kaberle be out with a hejustreallysucksitis?

    1. IF Gomez played defense he would be Kaberle and vice versa.

  2. Have to agree with Marinaro this morning. Canadien's season will end with Spacek scoring for Carolina and Kaberle with the giveaway on a PP.

All I'm going to say is congratulations to Captain Kirk Muller. Way to stick it to the Goat and BG. The head coaching job for the Montreal Canadiens should have been yours. You may have drove home the final dagger in this miserable season. On the bright side, Habs fans are finally rid of the soulless vampire and the mexican won't be too far behind.

I'm going to the Sea Dogs game this Friday night with St. Patrick's Remparts in town. I'll let 4HF know how Grigorenko looks.

Turn my TV on last night only to find out the free RDS I've been receiving is no more. Somebody at the cable company figured it out. So I debate with myself, do I need to spend the $5/month for 2 more months of this torture? In the end I decided "Yes, I do." 5 minutes later I was back in biz. Turn on the TV just in time to see the 1-0 goal. "CRAP!", I said to myself (and my dog Bozo). Then such a terrific comeback after being down 2 goals only to see that useless twat Kaberle fuck up our season. I hate him. The Bruins need him for another run at the cup. Maybe they could legitimately win one this year. Pff. Fuck. The sky has fallen. It ain't over, but the hope's a fadin'.

  10. Wah, wah, wah. I could cry, although sad for the loss, I was happy for Kirk.

On a brighter note, Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Try not to OD on chocolate.

  11. Someone should take Kaberle's miniature stick and shove it up his ass for last night. And we have him for a few more years. Thank you Mr. Gauthier. We really appreciate it.

Maybe we can trade him back to Toronto? Come up with some bs excuse that hopefully Burke would buy? If only.

    1. Lock him in the trunk of Julien's car tomorrow or through him under their bus.

  12. After the 2nd period comeback I really thought we were in for a treat last night - should have known better! The Habs have been fucking with us all season - winning when no one expects it, losing when they should have been winning and blowing leads in the third that they should have held onto...So I really don't know what to expect against the broons...and that is how it shall remain. Expect nothing and I won't be disappointed.

Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!! Go Habs Go!!!!

    Hey, it's just a question.

  15. As long as Luongo is in nets I have no faith in the Canucks at all to win the Cup. I had heard Boston wanted Nash as well. Hell, send Thomas to Colombus as a FU to him. :)

Of course it'd make our lives hell I'm sure.

So if Toronto wins tonight we're officially dead? I keep hearing that but I'm not sure if it's accurate or not.

  16. Gomez got an ass chewing by Randy Ladouceuer at practice today.
Bulldogs contract in Hamilton expires soon and Laval's mayor is somehow convinced that they'll move there.

    1. It's about damn time someone chewed his ass out. He doesn't listen at practice very much (according to Flynn a few months ago on TSN990) so I'm glad someone did it. He deserves it.

@Steve, Rick Nash wouldn't go to Montreal for all the tea in China. They are not ready for a player of his caliber yet and are not playoff worthy anyway. The Habs are two to three years from being a team of any consequence. I'm not sure if they will ever be a team to challenge for the Cup in my lifetime. They don't seem to have the management capable of assembling such a thing. If they get lucky enough in the upcoming draft to acquire a franchise player they might have a shot. I'm doubtful they can pull it off. The current regime seems to be spinning its wheels and has settled for a mediocre product and seems content to live with it. I'll be interested to see if the fans will continue to fill the building if they have a record equivalent of the Houle/Tremblay era. I remember it was easy to get tickets in those days. I know I won't be returning to the Bell Centre anytime soon. If I happen to be in Florida when the Habs are in town I will probably check them out. Cheap entertainment down there. I went to the Lightning game last week and was sitting 12 rows from ice level for $69.75. I'd be on the freaking roof in the Bell for that price.

    2. I like the Habs' young guys and think Price is getting better and better. I think Gomez is a huge distraction on this team and he just needs to disappear for everyone else to move on. Cole seems to be the only good move the Goat has done, he also needs to take a hike. But with Patches, Lego, PK, Desharnais, Price and some others, I'm hopeful of the future as long as the organization does the right thing and cuts the dead weight after the season (or sooner).

    1. Last year when the poll came out everyone in the CotU decried it like it was some conspiracy against the leaf (esp. the comments about Wilson), but the next sentence they would use it to prove another point. HNIC is the Fox News of the sports world, with the leaf being their republicans.

  26. The Habs are 19-3-4 when leading after 2 periods. That means they lose 27% of the time when they are winning at the 2nd intermission. That is unbelievable. Imagine if they were able to hold on those 3 times (including last night) in regulation. That would be +6pts, putting them 1 out of the playoffs. So when we're talking about a waste of a season, we're not talking about monumental changes. We're talking about holding onto third period leads.

Also recognize that they barely squeaked into the playoffs the last few years with a top ranked PP. Now it's ranked 30th. Again, it's not about giant changes in the team. Before they would have scored an insurance goal early in the 3rd on the PP. Now they allow a SHG. Small differences make a huge impact.

@Steve and Orangeman, I'm sorry to harsh your buzz. The Habs do have a few good young players. Once the Mexican't and Kakaberle has been dispatched maybe things will turn around. They still need a number one center, will Lego grow into it? Who knows? DD is good but not a true #1. Cole, Patches and RBQ are good wingers but they need a few upgrades on a D as soft as DQ ice cream, (Y)Emelin excepted. TFS is the key, long may he serve.
