    7. I have a bet on the Habs - Leafs season series. If the Habs lose to the Leafs on April 7th they will lose the season series and I have to wear a stinking Leaf jersey at work all day. And yes it is a stinking Leaf jersey - poorly made with mustard stains and whatnot all over it. GYFHG!!!! Total goal spread is the tiebreaker so winner of that game wins the bet.....

  30. MONTREAL – Montreal Canadiens general manager Pierre Gauthier announced Wednesday night the signing of forward Patrick Holland to a three-year contract (2012-13 to 2014-15). As per club policy, financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

In 66 games with the WHL’s Tri-City Americans, Holland ranks sixth in the league and third on the Americans with 101 points (24 goals and 77 assists). He ranks first in the WHL in assists (77) and tied for second in the league in shorthanded assists (5). The 6’00’’ and 175 lbs right winger displays a +37 plus/minus differential and served 44 penalty minutes.

A native of Lethbridge, Alberta, Holland, 20, has recorded 199 points (62 goals and 137 assists) in 197 games since his junior debut with Tri-City in 2008-09. He was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the seventh round, 193rd overall at the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Holland was acquired from the Flames last January 12 with Rene Bourque and a second round draft pick in 2013, in return for Michael Cammalleri, Karri Ramo and a fifth round draft pick in 2012.

  36. the Maritimer9:28 AM

When this season is finally, mercifully over I am hoping and praying that Geoff Molson takes a long hard look at his management team. The Montreal Canadiens have (I hope) reached the bottom. No more Gomez or Kaberle band-aids added to an already weak roster. Build from within and return the Canadiens to their rightful place as an upper echelon team. This year presents an unprecedented opportunity to get a headstart on this mission. Geoff, get a new, young forward thinking executive to implement the changes the team needs to make. Bob Gainey can still be an ambassador for the Canadiens like the Flower. Stop trying to market and live off past glories like the stupid ML$E. The fans in Montreal and in general won't buy it. We want a team that can actually challenge for the Cup not merely make the bottom four and hope for the best. I've had enough of that crap, thanks.

@Steve, even though the Habs are now titless, a great set of legs can more than make up for their loss.

Take note: the Oilers always play the Habs hard and probably don't want to pick second overall after picking first the last two years. This game starts too late for me, so carry on Juce, you are the numero uno fan on this site. KmaXXX is a close second. Maritimer, out.

  43. The teacher said, "Let's begin by reviewing some American history.

Who said 'Give me Liberty, or give me Death'?"

She saw a sea of blank faces, except for Little Hodaiki a bright foreign
exchange student from Japan, who had his hand up: 'Patrick Henry, 1775', he
    said.

    'Very good!'

Who said, 'Government of the People, by the People, for the People, shall not perish from the Earth?'

Again, no response except from Little Hodaiki: 'Abraham Lincoln, 1863'.

'Excellent!' said the teacher continuing, 'let's try one a bit more
    difficult...'

Who said, 'Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country?'

Once again, Hodaiki's was the only hand in the air and he said:

    'John F. Kennedy, 1961'.

The teacher snapped at the class, 'Class, you should be ashamed of
yourselves, Little Hodaiki isn't from this country and he knows more about our history than you do.'

    She heard a loud whisper: 'F . . k the Japs,'

'Who said that? I want to know right now!' she angrily demanded.

Little Hodaiki put his hand up, 'General MacArthur, 1945.'

At that point, a student in the back said, 'I'm gonna puke.'

The teacher glared around and asks, 'All right! Now who said that!?'

Again, Little Hodaiki said, 'George Bush to the Japanese Prime Minister,
    1991.'

Now furious, another student yelled, 'Oh yeah? Suck this!'

Little Hodaiki jumped out of his chair waving his hand and shouted to the teacher, 'Bill Clinton, to Monica Lewinsky, 1997!'

Now with almost mob hysteria someone said, 'You little shit. If you say
    anything else, I'll kill you.'

Little Hodaiki frantically yelled at the top of his voice, "Michael Jackson
to the child witness testifying against him, 2004.'

    The teacher fainted.

As the class gathered around the teacher on the floor, someone said, 'Oh shit, We're screwed!'

Little Hodaiki said quietly, 'The Montreal Canadiens, 2012.'

There were also some Bruins players who stood and cheered the hit after it was replayed on the screen (and Pac was on the ice with everyone wondering if the guy was dead). One of the guys that cheered was Thornton.
