  2. That guy stole Douche$harek's workout uniform! As unpopular as it will be (yes a numero uno draft pick would be nice), I would love to see the Habs finish in front of the Leafs.

Listening to the Fan590 for a bit this morning, they are calling for Brian Bark's head after the slaughter in Beantown last night. What a shame the two anchor franchises for the league can't have better management. Are both GM's that dumb? Can nobody evaluate hockey talent in either organization?

John Shannon, who I respect, said Geoff Molson needs to get a President to run the team and he just be the owner and count his coin. That could turn out to be true if it turns out Molson did approach Patrick for the job. I don't think it will be a good fit.

    2. Can't stand john shannon. He's a CotU hack and always spouts Habs hate. A truly sick fuck.

Really? I've never heard him dump on the Habs and he's not a showboat like some of the other clowns. I find Sportsnet basically ignores them, although Louis Jean does a credible job, TSN makes fun of them and CBC hates them. That's just my perspective.

  9. I like Patrick better as GM than coach. He is never going to work out as coach.

  10. I could actually see Roy as GM, I wouldn't mind that. I don't want him behind the bench.

Bite your tongue moe. Doug MacLean is a good Maritimer. A little annoying at time with his constant interrupting but he tells it like it is. He did say today the leafs are fucked and have nothing to look forward to. They have players nobody wants and no big free agents are available this July, not that they want to sign in Toronto anyway, see: Richards, Brad.

Steve may be on to something regarding the Habs players. They are a franchise player away from recovery because they have the other pieces MacLean says you need to be successful.
      1. No. 1 goalie. Check.
      2. Impact players, Patches, Subban, Vodkov. Check.
      3. Regular NHLer's, they need a few of those. To do list.

So, finish 3rd worse or possibly trade up to 1 or 2 and get your franchise player. Voila, 1 or 2 year turn around at worse.

    4. Not slagging EAst coasters the M. mclean has proven since he was fired to be a mediot and willing to toe the leaf line. Lost any respect I might have had for him. shannon, to me, is the biggest bootlicking mediot of them all.

Like Steve said, he wasn't toeing any leaf line today I can assure you.

Patrick as GM I could live with. Not as coach. I wouldn't mind AV coming back if Vancouver flops early which is possible with Luuuuuuuuuuuu.

    1. Not sure Roy deserves to be made aGM before possibly being the Coach. I hear Brisebois, currently in Tampa, might be the best GM catch going. If Pat Brisson could sign on as his assistant GM, methinks a solid group would be had. Plus, Brisson can get us Sid when he goes UFA. I, know, I'm dreaming.

That's a nice dream, one I've had as well. Buttman the little troll would kill any deal involving Sid going to any Canadian team. Can't have the face of the NHL toiling in a Canadian backwater.

    3. I wonder, Sid grew up a Habs fan. What if he just said fuck it, I am going play for the Rolling Stones. Same as Gretzkey, I bet one of the great regets of his life is that he did not play for the Leaf.

  17. What is the job of a GM in todays NHL. Its like the producer of a movie. Thats why we have a circus in Toronto and Montreal. In my book the job of a GM is to put a team together. Just like Dale Talon did in Florida. You know horseflesh and jockies and you put together a winner.

According to Bruce Arthur there was a lot of empty seats in the lower bowl of the ACC last night. I've got the Beatle's song "Revolution" playing in my head all of a sudden. Have Torontonians finally had enough? Kessel and Phaneuf are not corner stones to build on. The leafs are fucked for sure. Burkie may be in trouble. No worries, they have lots of assistants to backfill with.

How about it Canadiens fans, had enough of the Goat? Stay away from the rink for a few nights, that will get Mr. Molson's attention.
