  1. Sabres lost too. They're blowing that chance we so gracefully gave them. Now it looks like we'll be helping the Caps tonight.

Vancouver Giants are down 3-2 in their playoff series with the Habs-like-sweater-wearing Spokane Chiefs. Gallagher, however, has 5 goals and 5 assists in those 5 games so he's doing his job!

  2. What a disappointment last night's game was - I mean from the effort standpoint. 20 shots over 3 periods of hockey is just not good enough! I'm supposing that we'll get a Budy call tonight. Let's all channel our thoughts for the effort they need to make it an interesting game.

Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!! Go Habs Go!!!

And for those of you fed up with my cheerleading, you'll only have the lovely and talented juce to kick for the next week. I'm off to the land of no internet until Good Friday - back just in time to watch the sun set on the 2011/2012 season with a good old fashioned leaf whooping. Until then boys and girls - play nice, don't feed the animal and GYMFCSHG!!!

    1. Never get tired of cheerleading. It's all we got left for the year! That and complaining about Crampoli.

The other day we were walking the dogs... Ziggy had his Habs sweater on. Some dude walks by to compliment it but then ads "you don't need to wear it anymore, the team is bad and there's no playoffs". WE WILL NEVER STOP WEARING THE COLOURS PROUDLY.

  3. Backstrom will be back tonight.

Backstrom has not played since Jan. 3 when he took an elbow to the head from then-Calgary Flame Rene Bourque, but the Caps No. 1 center was medically cleared this week to return to the lineup after passing a baseline neuropsychological test.

  4. Can we get Bourque to pass the same test?? ( the useless fuck..) Oh BTW.. G Y F H G !!

Agreed, Serge said the Habs have lost their identity, maybe he can help them find it again. He could start by offering Dale Tallon a lifetime supply of BJ's at some gentlemen's club in Montreal for Huberdeau.

They need to overhaul the pro scouting department so they don't make any more mistakes like Gomez and Kaberle. I'm gonna cut Bourque some slack. There has to be an adjustment period of some sort.

No one ever mentions that the only reason his being a unilingual anglophone was a "problem" was because the moron mediots suddenly made a big deal of it and fanned the ridiculous flames of that age old garbage language issue. Much like the PQ party does when they feel lonely...

@moe, the one thing the clown was right about was Cunneyworth, but we will lay that at the Goat's feet. Never should have been put in that position. I just shook my head at some of the things that were done this past season. That was not the Montreal Canadiens that I remembered. I'm glad Geoff didn't wait to fire PG, let's get this mess behind us as soon as possible and restore Montreal to some semblance of it's former greatness.

For example, they say to wait for a GM to rear his head from a team that has failed to make the playoffs or is elininated early. Like, how the fuck is that going to help Montreal, to bring in a loser?

shannon ain't mine but I will point out his disgusting ways.

He was THE cbc/hnic programming honcho when the 'national' broadcaster 'dropped' the Canadiens francophone funding and feed. Funny how the RDS multi-year agreement has made the Habs even stronger as a tv presence (in Quebec).

At the NHL HQ, he shilled to make sure the leaf had the Saturday night schedule they needed to hype their machine. He was booted out after less than two years.

      He started leafs tv.

Watched the game at Hurley's, better game than I expected.Nice to see the Habs can still show up....PHuckin blow calls as usual......

Shane Murphy did not show up to play the second floor as advertized, apparently extended his tour in France, what a slacker.

The race in the west is unreal, 3 teams from the same division and the Kings play their rivals for the final spot twice each in their four final games, Praise GOD the Buttman schedule worked in the west.

  71. the Maritimer8:48 AM

Habs played a decent game last night, just a little over matched in the talent department. All their tank rivals moved a little farther ahead in the standings, it's all good.

It's just a hunch but I believe the Canadiens' new GM is going to be very active in the off season. It may be more fun to watch than the hockey we've witnessed the past 6 months. I'll start cheering again on April 8th.
