There's something funny going on in the playoffs this year. Two of Bettman's welfare children, Phoenix and Nashville, appear to be headed to the second round. Coincidence? I think not. Memo to all officials: get these basketcases past Chicago and Detroit. I want my sunbelt plan to succeed dammit! Fuck Montreal and Toronto we don't even want them in the playoffs it hurts NBC's ratings. But we'll gladly take their so-called money and convert it into "real" American dollars to spread around. What a fuckng plan! No Canadian team will get a sniff at the cup as long as GB is runnin'er.

There's my rant for the day.

Not to critize moe, but Mary Louise Parker blows today's pics out of the water. I'm going to keep looking at her as long as possible. Have a good one!

    2. I think Nashville is actually a good hockey team this year and they have been close for a few years now...This doesn't mean that they make "real" money etc etc, but as far as hockey goes, I think they belong there. Don't hate on the players...Hate on Buttman all you want, though, I agree with that!

@Hadulf, I agree Nashville has a very good team, that was just my missing seeing Montreal in the playoffs rant. However, there is no doubt that Montreal and Toronto plus the other 5 Canadian teams prop up Buttman's glorious expansion plan to populate the U.S. south with hockey teams. Fuck that arrogant little prick.

BTW, the Predators are the only team with a Pekka AND Tits. They are Steve's team.....

If you will all excuse my ignorance, what is the significance of 4/20? Thanks in advance.

It appears that Geoff Molson is serious about repairing the damage done by the Goat. He has sent Squid his last worn Habs jersey along with a hand written letter. If Mr. Molson peaks at the many Habs blogs including this one, this long time Canadiens fan says thanks for that gesture and I now have hope that we can finally see a return to the class this organization always presented. Let the rebuild begin.

Watching the U-18's on TSN, Canada vs USA, I like this Jacob Trouba kid playing for the States. Good, fast skating skilled defenceman, he's going to be a good consolation prize for somebody who doesn't get one of the forwards.

  18. the Maritimer2:39 PM

Hmmmm....Filip Forsberg. They just showed him scoring in the other semi-final, he has five goals in the tournament. Dave Reid on the TSN panel says he is going second overall in the draft. So, Yakupov, Forsberg and.....Galchenyuk? Or do the Habs take Ryan Murray? All I have is questions - anybody got answers?

    1. We take GCHuk, or if your high, you trade pick three to the bolts for pick 10 and pick 23. At ten there are going to be big centers still available. At 23 little wingers who can score.

    1. When in doubt - Wiki it! - High Times editor Steven Hager wrote "Are You Stoner Smart or Stoner Stupid?" in which he called for 4:20 pm to be the socially accepted hour of the day to consume cannabis.[7] He attributes the early spread of the phrase to Grateful Dead followers, who were also linked to the city of San Rafael.[7]

So I've answered my own question. Thanks just the same - pass the bong - Go Habs Go!

Here's an one excerpt, now I know why they throw rats.

Former Panthers netminder John Vanbiesbrouck called it the "rat trick" after teammate Scott Mellanby killed a rat in the team’s locker room prior to their home opener. Panthers’ fans picked up on the idea and started throwing rats on the ice as a way to celebrate when their team scored a goal.

    4. This suspension is still a joke. They could've given him 1,5,10,100 games, or life suspension, it would still be a joke. The day they did not suspend Shea Weber for what he did to Zetterberg, Shanajoke opened the door. Tell me Weber did not try to injure Zetterberg? Exactly.

I, for once, actually think Torres' hit was suspendable, dirty, late and to the head...yes. But still in the middle of a "hockey play"...Yes, I'm being serious. You can howler at me all you want, but Shea Weber actually "gave up" the game of hockey when he grabbed Zetterberg's head with his 2 hands and slammed it, TWICE, in the glass.
