    Gerard Gallant = tough as nails. Other than Therrien I really like what Geoff Molson has done to rebuild the Canadiens' front office. After the draft I'm interested to see what this management team will do to start to rebuild the product on the ice. I have a feeling that the team is going to look drastically different than the bunch that finished dead last in the eastern conference. So long Darche Vader, adios Gomereaha and dasvadanya Kakaberle. I expect to see less Swiss cheese as well. I expect the Habs will be a much tougher opponent next season, whenever that is. Bring it on!!!

      I want to slap him.

      Don't call him Gerry, he prefers "Turk". Probably never be HC for the Habs unless he can pick up the lingo. My money is on Boucher somewhere down the road.

  8. “As a coach, it’s no different,” he said. “You want to be part of the best hockey in the world. To come back with a franchise like Montreal is incredible.”

    ~~~
    As some 4HFers have mentioned, we can rag the selection of MT2 but ALL the new hires are proud, excited and happy to be part of DGMB's new team. The CHange is dramatic and in a good way.
    I think MT2's major flaw is that, to most of us, he is not well versed (in either language). I'll never look down on any person for not mastering a higher level vocabulary but MT2 sometimes sounds unedumacated. Again, you can't fault a person for this. He isn't a Professor nor does he have a Corner on hnic. He has hockey smarts, maybe even street smarts and his GM is surrounding him with a seriously stacked fresh start.
    Ahhhhhhh.......Dr. Gibson is in the house.
    Love the Gallant hiring. Can't wait for N8 to show his stuff on the backend. All DGMB has to do is pry Huberdeau out of Florida and the Sea Dogs connection will be complete. I wouldn't put it past MB to get it done either.
    He seems to be a very charming fellow.
  21. Who is our father, does he ignore our bumps and bruises cause he know you got to be tough to make it in the world. When you run out of bullets what do you really have left. Well excuse me I was not really aiming to hurt, just making a statement.
    My father was all Canadian, third generation Scottish English. My Grandfather fought at Vimy ridge for some reason we now can not decide. My Dad was literally and figurativeness perfect. He never understood but he always supported. I was gone six months a year during those times children found dear. And I would not change a thing. When I was home it was Disneyland on display. My kids are tough people who are not swayed by the fish of the day.
    Yeah I am dreaming of grandchildren. But as a history major I really wonder will they thrive. Its survival of the species time here folks, and we have a fish farming government.
  25. I was thinking about all the fathers that died in WW1, a war that made absolutely no sense. Archduke, and dont we all want to be one, of Austria gets offed in a students protest, prior to Nazi salutes. I have always had trouble understanding what went on. That was until yesterday. I watched the Hatfield's and the McCoys. Somebody put real money into this production, and I think that just about explains WW1.
