  1. Welcome back Moeman! Glad to see that your time away has not dulled your edge. A killer SF once again!

I'm gonna wish you lot a very Happy Canada Day for Sunday. My flag will be flying all weekend just to annoy/confuse the neighbours ("Canada isn't playing in Euro 2012 - why the flag?") but my oldest turns 16 tomorrow so we are having a bit of a weekend celebration for him - so I'll follow the comments on my phone.

Happy SF 4HFers! Happy Canada Day! Viva Italia and Go Habs Go !!

Moe, how was the vacay and was the weather nice?

    1. The vacay was a short but an unexpected treat as I tagged up with some 'old' friends in the FLA Keys for two days and three days on a private boat to/from Cuba. Scrumptious food, fun and sun. The weather couldn't have been better. Mother Nature is simply spectacular. I'll add a beach bum pic that describes where my mind and bod was at.

DD, Pleks, Lego and Nokia are currently the Habs four centers. That'll strike fear into the hearts of the opposition. On the bright side, it looks like there's no room for Gomer. MaB must really be working the phones and calling in every favour he can to trade him to some cap floor team. GChuk is going back to Sarnia I'll bet, at least until somebody gets hurt.

You know, this wouldn't surprise me with MaB's connections to the Blackhawks and they could be getting tired of 20 cents' act in Chi-town. Pleks could be on the move. Maybe Eller. Hjarmalson could be coming to the Habs as well. Hey, like Darche said, a last place team can expect some changes.

Love this signing. Pure team player. Well done DGMB and great to see you remain a Hab Travis.

"Veteran forward Travis Moen has elected to remain a Montreal Canadien for another four seasons.

The 30-year-old potential free agent agreed to a US$7.2 million, four-year contract with the club on Friday. He is to earn $1.8 million per season after getting $1.5 million in each of the last three campaigns in Montreal.

"Travis brings tremendous leadership to our club and is very appreciated by his teammates," general manager Marc Bergevin said in a statement, adding he was glad to sign him before the free agent market opens on Sunday.

"He has a lot of experience and brings a physical presence to our group of forwards."

    3. Big Bird, if I am big bird do I step on a shit patty. All he can do in Montreal is fail. This team is not going to win the cup in the next two years, so what kind of Gomez shot to my face should he indure. Personaly I feel I could take five Gomez shots to the face before he broke any skin.

  24. In the Gazette.

  27. “Free agency only comes up once or twice in your career, and you’d like to see how other teams value you,” he said. “But Montreal made an offer, a great offer, that we couldn’t refuse.”
In fact, Moen said the Habs’ proposal was on his plate for a couple of days.
“We didn’t want to rush into anything,” he said. “Amy and I decided (Thursday) and I slept pretty good that night, better than I have the last couple of weeks. We have lots of good friends in Montreal, I play with a good group of guys on a great organization and I’m happy to be going back.”

      It was magic!
