  3. Excellent Moeman! Another killer WW. Didn't want Jagr anyway. Get PFK signed and get on with things.

  4. Minnesotans are wet and wild about their new players Parise AND Suter.

Hope Geoff Molson's Canadiens aren't subsidizing a single fucking penny of those contracts.

    1. Well I predicted based upon the shithole and winning axis. Minny def top of the scale in not being a shithole, but lowest in the wining access. Best news they are not in our division. I dont think they are as great as all that, Minn will not win nothing.

Wow!! I have to admit I didn't see that coming. Big time coin tied up in Minny for the next 13 years,

I hope the Habs never sign one of those super long term deals, 6-7 years is plenty in my books.

No to the slippery sticky Russian. I'd rather have a kid like Gallagher play the wing, you know he going to show up every night and learn on the job. The Habs aren't going to be contenders for another year or two anyway. Make your move then, MB.

Oh, moe are all those older photos of Marilyn? I'm not sure about the one with all the floaters in the pool. Keep them coming, I was always partial to Ann-Margret btw.

    2. The one with the floaters (in the pool, of course) is definitely not Marilyn. I think it's that girl who married the much, much, much older rich man and had a huge court battle with his family over his money when he died.

  8. Ok its done, we start the season with no first line, two third lines and as many fourth lines as we want.

I may be a little harsh on DDD but he is no Dennis Savard (yet)

  9. Open letter from DGMB to Scott Gomez

    Dear Scott,

I did not buy you out, so now you know that no matter how soft, stupid and weak you play your not getting a buyout.

I cant have you back on the team, we dot have enough penicillin for that.

I cant have you in Hamilton, you give off bad bad vibes.

I cant have you in the ECHCL because they have had two many natural disasters on the east coast already.

So here is what I want you to do.

Fuck off and take the money.

    2. As a long time Devil season ticket holder I have observed Parise for years. He is absolutely not the same playerr he was before his injury. His skill level, speed, eye to hand coordination and skating have considerably gone down.Other than Niedemayer every Devil free agent has gone on to be a major disappointment (Paul Martin-last one). Lamoriello is a genius and knew exactly what he was doing in letting him go.The media and especially the NHL NETWORK have blown Parise way out of proportion. The points Parise got this season were because of Kovalchuk. The Wild are going to be in for a major disappointment.

      Delete
    3. Parise is probably the best cherry picker in the NHL because no matter the situation you'll always find him camped out at the other blue line even if it means putting his team at a 5-on-4 disadvantage. But if you listen to the McGuire version he's the OMGBESTPLAYEREVARDROOOOOOOLSLOBBER. Whatever. Hope he likes lakes.

  15. Cheez, on being a Habs fan, is going to turn his tot into one too.

“He absolutely loves hockey. He’s ready to be a Habs superfan this season – we’re working on it already. He’s singing a lot of songs with ‘Habs’ in them right now,” laughed Armstrong. “At that age, they’re pretty easy to influence. Now all that’s left to do is switch out his Leafs mini-stick for a Habs one.”

  19. Know your Gomez, he does not always pass to no one.

He doesn’t always dump the puck… sometimes he does that blind backwards pass to the center of the offensive zone… to create the rush play for whomever we’re playing against!

    3. maybe you can watch Gomez

Essentially, you can demote as many players as you want to the AHL if you’re looking to bury salary, provided that player does not have a No-Movement Clause. This isn’t the same as a No-Trade Clause, which only stipulates a player can choose to turn down being traded, a No-Movement means they can deny being sent to the AHL. Neither Gomez, Kaberle or perhaps Bourque have such a measure in their contracts to protect them. The other option for the Canadiens is loaning the players to European clubs, albeit Montreal must still pay their contracts. The Chicago Blackhawks did this in 2010 when they were looking to shed salary and needed to bury former Canadiens goaltender Christobal Huet.

  23. Everybody needs to let up on the hate for Gomez. The Habs have a slim chance at best of making the playoffs next year anyway. And if you're going to miss the playoffs next year, you want to miss big for the #1 pick. That kid has amazing skills. Mad skillz as the kids say these days. So I say fuck yeah, play Gomez 25 minutes per game. 28 for Kaberlé. Re-sign Darche, we need him on the #1,2 and 3 PP units. Is Boo!Die! still our back up? He needs at least 35 games, you know to rest Carey up for the playoffs (wink). So c'mon kids - jump on board we're Tail Spinnin' for MacKinnon! FUCKYEAH!

  32. The Sabres then signed UFA defenceman/left John Scott. It’s less important which position Scott plays than what he does when he plays, which is to fight. At 6-foot-8, 270 pounds, he’s got Zdeno Chara size. He also has little of Chara’s skating ability, defensive acumen or puck skills. As a Ranger last year, Scott played very sparingly, not able to regularly find his way into John Tortorella’s lineup. He had one assist and was a minus-1, averaging 6:42 in the 35 games he played. He also racked up 53 PiMs. He has one goal and five assists and 236 penalty minutes in five NHL seasons. It will be interesting to see if Lindy Ruff finds more use for Scott than Tortorella did.
