July's gone. August is here, back to school ads on TV already. Where is the time going?

    2. Hats off to Clara Hughes who finished fifth.

      From TSN:

The 39-year-old crossed the line in a time of 38:28.96. She was third fastest at the first split, but dropped back during the middle portion of the course.

"I didn’t think it was good enough when I crossed," said Hughes. "My whole goal here was to be better than I ever have been and I honestly was it’s just that there were four people better than me."

"This was the best preparation I’ve had I gave everything I had and I was fifth best in the world today."

Just as the media scrum was wrapping up, Hughes let go of a little secret.

"I had a really bad accident in May and actually broke my back and had a fractured vertebrae from that accident in Gatineau that I had to push through a lot of pain for about five or six weeks, I’ve never experience that kind of pain," said Hughes. "I never gave up on myself and I just thought I’m just lucky that I can pedal my bike, and I get to live this experience and that’s what I’ve always tried to show young people, is that don’t ever give up on yourself.

  18. I sit high, looking out the Window of Johnny Rockets, a restaurant suspended half way between a super super highway and the streets of Roppogni crossing. I do not like to be negative, but would only say should you find yourself suspended halfway between Roppogi Koseten and the freeway, skip the food. You only go if your a rocketman. And I am a rocketman, on my bucket list is to change my name to Jones Spaceman, then license official, totally offical gear wit the name Spaceman on the back and the number in honour of TiTs will be 47

    1. why AK 47 because he is another Ruskky that blew our brains out with his bullet shot, ability to play in traffic and tough enough to cycle.
