      Whilst I was a young Chester I did the same thing on the second floor railing of the lodge at Beaver Lake. Things you remember.

    2. ... and no I haven't licked a pole since (NTTIAWWT) and yes I know that up here in snowy Canada we don't break our $50s into loonies because our minimum is a fin (not a typo this time Moey!). No wonder we are known as a generous kind of people.

  7. The NHLPA's executive board now has the option of dissolving their union - which would allow players to file a class-action anti-trust lawsuit against the league.

    Yo! Still here!

    Thanks for the birthday wishes all. Steve, great predictions on the previous thread. Re: Atlantica Province, if nominated I will not run, if elected I will not serve. I'm not bilingual, hence I couldn't negotiate a corridor through Quebec if they separate, I'd have to hire 29 to be my lead hand.

    Also, congrats to Steve buying out Geoff Molson and being the new Habs owner, but please leave big Tits in Russia, his stripper addiction may cost you big time.

  13. Unbelievable that some residents actually petitioned NOT to rename a street honouring Gary Carter. One idiot said, no one knows who he is, he's not even a Quebecois.
    Though, judging the way she spoke french, I don't think she was Quebecois either - maybe Parisien.

  16. Its a given that all of us in here love and enjoy various types of music. I've always believed that music rocks, fucksup, heals, steals and soothes the soul. On top of it all, music is truly the best description of how international we all are and how we can be transcended. Spiritual in it's words, calming in it's simplicity I think Montreal's own Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' should be considered one of the most human and beautiful songs ever. I doubt I've ever seen a bad rendition (maybe its the lyrics from a genius?), including this one;

    Merci Leonard and Peace.

    2. moeman, truly one of the most moving songs of all time. Many artists have covered it, some of them (and I hate to admit it, on some of the talent shows) have done a great justice to Cohen. He truly is a legend who will live on long after we and he are gone.

    3. Oh my God, I did not listen to the link before posting.
      Literally, I am crying.
      I have a webpage open and keep refreshing over and over till I see my daughter's flight actually arrives (eta 1:15). She left the day this happened and I pictured her in my mind at the age of these little angels.

      Apologies in advance, but,

      FUCK YOU NRA

    Well, looks like the Mayans were wrong after all, just as well, I still want to have fun in this life for a while yet.

    Stubbs and Hickey wrote a couple of articles reminiscing about the Habs 2012, all the fucked up moves the Goat made, a complete and utter disaster. I'd love to know some of the confidential shit that Gill and Spaceman told Stubbs about what went down. Oh well, doesn't matter anymore, it's all in the (relative) distant past now. OK, gotta go check and see how GCHuk is doing.

    There is only one thing I wanted from Santa: Gary Bettman's firing.

    I know. It's not Christmas yet, but that's something too hard to wrap.
