Sexy Slovakia Preview and Open Thread

Ola 4HF'ers! It is I, your once and former glorious leader HF29. We've given moeman the holiday week off. Well-deserved moe! Your tireless efforts to bring the sexy during a very un-sexy lockout have been nothing short of heroic.

I am pleased to step in when we have actual, meaningful hockey to watch and discuss! World juniors!  NHL'ers on the ice! Huberdeau! The Nuge! A Subban of some sort! Hockey, WOOOOO!!!!!111!!!!!!!!!1!11!!!!

What's that? The game starts when? There's a 4:30 in the morning now? What and where the fuck is Ufa? OK, so your preview is this: Canada plays Slovakia at 4:30 AM EST Friday morning on TSN. No point in previewing a game when we'll be sleeping off a drunken Thursday night. Or maybe we'll stay out drinking 'til 4:30 and open thread this baby. Set an alarm and find out! Here's some sexy Slovaks. Don't worry, it's Zdeno Chara-free.

~~~
Musical interlude! If a sexy Slovak singer named Tina doing a song called "Sexxxy" isn't the theme song for this post, I don't know what is.
    Who is that Slovak Habs goalie? He looks familiar somehow.
    Kudos to HF29.
  3. Lou says he's embarrassed.
    "I’m not involved the way I was in the past. I can’t answer why," Lamoriello said.
  10. Wow, that woman in the third picture. I heard that some women don't trim their woo-woo hair, but when it sticks out from under your frock, well you gotta get a new plan.
    Happy New Year's while you are dreaming of 70's 'fro styled woo-woo hair.
    Jeez 29, if I had known you were truly going to live blog that Canada game I might have gotten up to watch with you although my beverage of choice would have been coffee, I'm too old to drink booze that early in the day. That being said, I got up around 6:45 Atlantic time and got the driveway cleaned up a bit (I had it plowed last night) and got Mrs. Maritimer off to work then came in and showered, grabbed a bowl of cereal and got the PVR rolling. Didn't look good for a while but superior talent prevailed and the sexy Slovaks were disposed of.
    Now have been watching the USA/Russia tilt and with what I have seen so far, Timmins made the right choice with GCHuk who is explosive, drives the net and has a hard fucking wrister. Gmoe on the other hand hasn't done too much and is a natural born floater.
    BTW, thanks Steve. You make my day with your philosphical rants. Never stop.
    I see the NHL is finally trying to get a shortened season in. I'd say Jan. 5th a deal will be made followed by another Habs Tank season and another franchise type player being selected. Thankfully, it will be mercifully short.
