Love retro-Gino. Duthie looks perfect. Oddly that Dreger image made me think he looks like a guy I work with...and he's not a transvestite to my knowledge. I best hit the hay.
I don't know coach, how about putting Drouin with MacKinnon and see if that works instead of banishing him to obscurity 4th line spot duty. What have you got to lose now...
From what little I've seen in this game and how he performed in the round robin match, US goalie John Gibson is way better than either Canadian goalie. Props to Phil Housely and his team for showing up big time.
I had to leave for work when the merkans made it 5-1. Soooo, no miracle comeback in that last 4 minutes eh? Well, I predicted 6-1 here at the office (I'll take that $30 thank you). Subban saved their skin the first time they played. Couldn't do it with the Walking Dead playing in front of him however. Strome (thrice) and RNH had the opps to make this a game and failed (and props to Gibson for some great goaltending). Aside from a nice goal in the first game and the odd nice setup, I've found GCHuk fairly invisible (maybe that's just TSN avoiding mentioning a Hab?). But he's been tearing up the 'O' this year, so no worries. Put a bit more meat on his bones and he'll be the power centre for years to come the Habs so desperately need.
I missed the first two periods, for some reason my PVR didn't kick in, so I probably shouldn't comment. But from what I've seen of Malcolm Subban he will be a decent goalie reminicent of Marc-Andre Fleury. 'Nuff said.
Re: the Canadian Junior team, I didn't really see the overall talent on this team that I've seen in previous tournaments. RNH, JH and Scheifle looked good at times but didn't dominate when they were on the ice. I don't know why but I had a feeling they were a 3rd or 4th place team. Plus they weren't playing in front of 18,000 frantic beer swilling Canadians but instead, 3 or 4 thousand disinterested Russians.
Also, TSN makes any Canadian team look like a bunch of superstars with all their bullshit hype. They suck Hockey Canada's arse so hard it makes me want to puke. Fuck them. I should cancel that channel as well.
As Ray mentions Galchy had quiet games, his name is said fairly often as he tries to manage and set up his linemates with like barely 12 minutes of ice time in total....
I'm starting to wonder if he's being punished for not being NCAA...
There may be some predjudice, but there are other OHL players, yes they did play some NCAA. Also the Americans are going to go with the best players. So its not a great sign.
Do not be shocked if LeCave ends up in Montreal. What if Tampa would take Gomereh for LeCave. Another example of why I should be the GM. Make the deal.
More bad words for Huberdeau and Maple Leaf present to the Bruins. Everyone knows if I was GM we would already have Huberdeau, and dammit I would be giving the kid a break.
OK, so Steve has been playing GMMB all day but I'm here to tell you a few facts:
1. Vinnie Lecav not being traded for Gomerreah...the Habs don't need that boat anchor contract to weigh them down for the next nine years.
2. The Habs are going to suck in 2013. The Bulldogs are already sucking in 2013. The Saint John Sea Dogs are going to suck in 2013, they have traded most of their veterans in a rebuild and I expect Jonny Huberdeau is going to be traded before the night is over. Or, he is going to Florida shortly. The NY Giants suck and didn't make the playoffs. See a pattern here? All my teams suck.
3. Bobby Lou in Hamilton? Even Geoff Molson doesn't have that kind of cash to throw away.
4. That Big 6 looks awful weak to me. Get the Tank fired up, pur laine Drouin is in the bag.
5. Therrien will drive Turtlepleks out of town. He's not manly enough for Big Mike.
Gotta love Subban. Not his fault the B's panicked and took him early. I'll be up at 5 (AST). when is puck drop?
ReplyDeletego Canada.
FUB.
4am-ish.

Also, updated the TSN collooge.
Love retro-Gino. Duthie looks perfect. Oddly that Dreger image made me think he looks like a guy I work with...and he's not a transvestite to my knowledge.

ReplyDeleteNothing good ever happens when a McCabe is on the ice.
ReplyDeleteSo far twice.

ReplyDeleteTime for Canada's lolerplay to work!
ReplyDeleteYikes! 4-0.
ReplyDeleteNo pressure, Binnington. Your team just hasn't had the 4am wake up call yet..
ReplyDeleteWhat the fuck was that, moron.
ReplyDeleteI love how Galchy seems to be able to make something out of nothing. Lose the puck? No problem. Flub a pass? Can fix it.
ReplyDeleteGot to give the Yanks credit for showing up with a big game.
ReplyDeleteThey deserve this score. Full marks. And wow, that Grimaldi drop-pass. If that worked, that would have been the play of the game.
DeleteAND THEY TAKE ANOTHER STUPID PENALTY ARGH.
ReplyDeleteI don't know coach, how about putting Drouin with MacKinnon and see if that works instead of banishing him to obscurity 4th line spot duty. What have you got to lose now...
ReplyDelete4-0 ? Ugh. And back to work today. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteShort week!
DeleteScheifeling your knees out.
ReplyDeleteShould be a goal.
ReplyDeleteRefs confused. Why did the ref blow his whistle?
ReplyDeleteUm. Ok?
ReplyDeleteHuberdeau? RNH? Bueller?
ReplyDeleteNow I'm getting all nostalgic, Canada looks as shitty as our Habs last year. *Wipes tear*
ReplyDeletePVR fucked up, missed the first two periods.
ReplyDeleteSubban's fault?
Sleepwalking team's fault.
Delete5-1
ReplyDeleteSad tuba.
ReplyDeleteFrom what little I've seen in this game and how he performed in the round robin match, US goalie John Gibson is way better than either Canadian goalie. Props to Phil Housely and his team for showing up big time.

ReplyDeleteDo not be shocked if LeCave ends up in Montreal. What if Tampa would take Gomereh for LeCave. Another example of why I should be the GM. Make the deal.
ReplyDeleteFuck him and his broken wrists and bad shoulders.
DeleteThe Swiss Miss is a UFA this year, buyout Kanterle and get him back. This GM stuff is so simple.
ReplyDeleteMore bad words for Huberdeau and Maple Leaf present to the Bruins. Everyone knows if I was GM we would already have Huberdeau, and dammit I would be giving the kid a break.
ReplyDeleteBulldogs playing like dogshit. I can fix that.
ReplyDeleteTrade a bag of pucks to the Nucks for Lou, bury him in Hamilton. Bulldogs gain some breathin and learnin room, cost to the cap zero, everyone wins.
DeletePlaying like shit, PLAYING STORTINI IS SHIT, and now they sent Nash to the Rampage for some stumpy Dman. Like they needed that....
DeleteAnd, by the way, the Rampage suck more.
DeleteThe big three, is so yesterday, look at the big six.
ReplyDeleteGeorges, Subban, Beaulieu, Tinordi and Emelin and Markov
