  1. Frankly, I've been sick of these historic milestones since the 100th year cashgrab. You want be historic? Win a fucking Cup.

    6-3? Seriously?

I'm gonna catch hell for this, but does anyone remember the comparisons of Price to Roy or Dryden? Never. Carey is a decent goalie but there's something not quite right there. Not athletic enough. Good technically maybe but not instinctive enough. Steve has pointed it out before, he's on his knees sliding around way too much and always seems to be deep in the net.

I've got more faith in Budaj right now. That was two points thrown away tonight.

    1. Agree, he's yet to steal a game. I smell goalie controversy! Yeah!

    2. Budaj has had 3 straight good/great games. I don't remember the last good/great game Price has played. I want Price to really be TFS, but I haven't seen any proof of it yet.

Any chance we could get Halak back?

As far as I'm concerned Price has lost the "TFS" designation. He may some day earn it back but for me he is now #31. Not Number31 that is already trademarked.

  6. Gomez scores tonight. I don't know what to do with that information.

Had to happen. Lets move on and not blame TFS.
I didn't see the game but we have been riding a great streak.
We regroup and go slap The Captain around.
    Go Habs!

  14. TeamFirstSystem™ is part of the group that shit the bed last night. Mistakes galore lead to chances which lead to goals which lead to a disappointing loss.

    1. It's amazing that the part about Jeremy Jacobs can be written right there out in the open for everyone to read and no one finds any fault with that assessment. Of course, this is a league that can't see the conflict of interests in having the daddy of a player rule on discipline and referee assignments. I can't imagine any other business operating like this, or at least this out in the open about it.

We are true Habs fans. Get points in 11 straight, on top of the east in a year we were supposed to be rebuilding, 1 loss in regulation and we want to trade everyone and sign every high profile free agent out there.

True Habs fans. and I wouldn't have it any other way!

    1. Just watched that replay. It was what we would all consider a "good" fight, if there can be such a thing and the shot the Sens guy took was right on the button. Got to be fair here...if that was one of the Habs with a leaf on the receiving end we wouldn't be too upset. Shit happens. What I did not hear was the commentary afterwards, which I'm sure was very leaf-centric, which would make me want to puke and throw out my tv. Just saying...

  31. The way the media treats a Kessel goal...Dudes he has 6, SIX, goals. That's less that Patches who didn't even score the first 13 games. That's less than Gio who was in a major slump for weeks. That's less than DDD who a mediot wouldn't even be able to pronounce properly. Hell, PFK has one less goal as a D-man and he missed the first four games of the season!

So, CBC, why don't you have a tracker on all these guys (plus PleXXXe and Gallagher (do we have a name for him yet?) who also have more goals)?

Sorry, after watching the TSN highlights with a hushed silence as Kessel drills on into the top corner (aka flips a giveaway that barely makes it through the goalie) I'm extra cynical about the whole thing since it gave the broons two actual goal scorers. GAH!

    ReplyDelete

    1. The "Kesseltracker" epitomizes everything the leaf stands for. ineptitude, false hopes, wasted talents, general uselessness...and it makes a complete joke of a once talented hockey player. Rather than be a positive it is a major negative. Having a "tracker" attached to you is akin to being Scott Gomez. So in leaf land they think that they are worshipping something...meanwhile the rest of the hockey world is laughing. And laughing loudly. How much does Kessel get paid to not score goals? Still - I suppose it gives the medi something to do rather than create stories about days of yore...fuck the fuckin leaf! fuck 'em all to hell!

    2. I will say, I kind of want the leaf to make the playoffs this year.
      a) It'll prove that Burke was the problem (though I'm sure they'll say it's still his success)

      b) Wouldn't mind a MTL-TOR series. Insane that there hasn't been one in 20 years, though it's hard when one team didn't make the playoffs more than half that time.

      c) The only thing I love more watching leaf fans' soul die by late March is watching their hopes soar so high only be crushed, especially if the Habs can deliver that blow. Though Sens fans probably want us to get in line.
