Hello out there, we're on the air, it's 'Hockey Night' tonight.
Tension grows, the whistle blows, and the puck goes down the ice.
The goalie jumps, and the players bump, and the fans all go insane.
Someone roars, "Bobby Scores!", at the good ol' Hockey Game.

Oh! The good ol' Hockey game, is the best game you can name.
And the best game you can name, is the good ol' Hockey game.

Second Period.

Where players dash, with skates aflash, the home team trails behind.
But they grab the puck, and go bursting up, and they're down across the line.
They storm the crease, like bumble bees, they travel like a burning flame.
We see them slide, the puck inside, it's a one-one hockey game.

Oh! The good ol' Hockey game, is the best game you can name.
And the best game you can name, is the good ol' Hockey game.

Third Period. Last game of the playoff too!

Oh take me where, the hockey players, face off down the rink.
And the Stanley Cup, is all filled up, for the champs who win the drink.
Now the final flick, of a hockey stick, and the one gigantic scream.
"The puck is in! The home team wins!", the good ol' hockey game.

Oh! The good ol' Hockey game, is the best game you can name.
And the best game you can name, is the good ol' Hockey game.

Oh! The good ol' Hockey game, is the best game you can name.
And the best game you can name, is the good ol' Hockey game.

Oh! The good ol' Hockey game, is the best game you can name.
And the best game you can name, is the good ol' Hockey game.

(It's in!)(He shoots, he scores!)(Henderson scores for Canada!)

I go with TFS, but he wears a lasso tied to the cross bar, if he goes on his knees its the sex strangling thing. (Eddie Shore used to do this to his goalies in paractice)

    tsk, tsk, Maritimer, :)

Man, I really hope broons show the laffs they can't fuck around, those shits and their sick fans really think they they rule the NHL now that they have a few thugs, they need to brought back down to earth. Thanking my lucky stars McClaren declined to fight Gorges, could have been ugly.

Tonight we shall see who are the true thugs.
I'm guessing The Leaf will turtle Linseman Style.
The Beaners will emerge as Thug Kings of the NHL. A fitting tribute.
I'm also guessing that TFS will start and be a rock.
Would be nice to have RBQ and Diazz back for tonight.

    1. I guess McClaren won't be fighting tonight, that fight got him 7 or 8 stitches in the face and a high stick later game him a few more. Beaners are already the slug-thugs of the NHL.

That being said, MB needs to get a thug of his own since that seems to be the trend, Prust can't do it all.

Heard that TFS did not a a good practice (not sure if today or yesterday) and he broke his stick in frustation. He'll get his confidence back eventually.

The Large Rotating Weather Pattern will be handled by the Boys tonight. I'm brimming with confidence. I'll be applying some Hoegaarden tonight in order to enhance the happyness level. Spank the Captain! Phasers on stun! No frigging in the rigging and avast the mizzen whatever the fuck that means. I smell victory.

  27. I might be missing in action depending upon what alledgelly happens on the home front. My daughter is home from MgGill and she wants to watch the Hobbit. Of course I cant stream or download it that would be illegal, but because I love her so much I am going to act it out.

    ReplyDelete

    1. In households where they stream or download copywritten materail it takes up a lot of bandwidith. I have heard the Hobbit material is available in high quality, maybe over a GB of bandwidth. Of course that kind of internet activity is not an option for me.

      Delete
    2. yes bandwidth and size of file have no relation. Its the time it takes to download or fill the buffer that matters, and in this case it is alleged that the hobbit is a motherfucker.

      to get over that bump
Lego chimed in and said let him sleep

    4. I've learned in my life that before reacting one must consider the source...

Sure am glad it wasn't wind! And for the record, if I knew they needed me, I would have been there. But I had that feeling...it's tried and tested. Doesn't work all the time, but when it does, it does. And last night - it did.

Being a Habs fan is never a contest, nor is it a mission. It is not something that you aspire to or can run away from. Being a true Habs fan is simply something that we are.

I don't know how the Habs have managed to stay in first place this long, it must be smoke and mirrors. Fortunately they may have enough breathing space they should theoretically still make the playoffs maybe play the leaf in the first round. cbc's wet dream.

    What gives with you guys?

Montreal Canadiens are in (still) in first place in the East.

This is a team that was predicted by the hockey cognoscenti
to finish 13th or 14th in the East.

    We are in FIRST.

    Still.

    Lighten the F up.

This is literally the good times. Ive been a hab fan for 9 years and it
doesnt get ANY BETTER THAN THIS> short of winning the stanley cup
    but lets not go there.

This is as good as it gets - and we should enjoy it. so what if the fourth line isnt winning its share of faceoffs.

So what if one of our players isnt actually PERFECT in their position.
You know what? this is life - people are not perfect and we make mistakes.

Its what makes this game so beautiful - how it represents us, we make mistakes
too and we feel bad for them.

Fact remains our team (that team that was 3rd last overall lastyear and predicted to finish the same this year) is in FIRST PLACE - again - at half way. Lets have some fun and say GO HABS GO we love you guys, seriously, for totally over achieving this year.

Someone should write a column in here about this because really, this is as good as it gets.

    love you guys really.

Then they lost something like 22/25 games and finished just 2 points out of the Habs whom they mocked all year? Yeah...

    2. I know someone who lives in tronna. He's an avid collector and has an entire room of his house dedicated to great Toronto Sporting Achievements. On one wall ther. On one wall there are a couple of old dusty pictures of Johnny Bower from the 50's I think, and then there is some signed stick by Sittler from like forever ago when he scored a dozen points in one game. On another wall are a couple of pictures of those great Torontonians - Dave Winfield and David Wells, and pictures when they won the World Series. The rest of the room is dedicated to the leaf. Two sections from the 70's through to modern day - over a hundred square feet reserved for pictures from the annual celebration parades held in the city. Most of the shots are of the city i the fall or snow filled streets in the winter (as the parade always takes place at that time of year). The other part of this section is taken from their annual end of season golf tourney - usually held in the 1st week of April. Some great shots there let me tell you!!

When someone writes an article he/she retains the thought of a user in his/her brain that how a user
can be aware of it. So that's why this piece of writing is perfect. Thanks!
