Loved those Foghorn Leghorn cartoons when I was a kid. Still do. Foghorn vs. the Dog = classic.

According to HI/O, sCarey starts tonight. The D better keep a close eye on Tavares and Moulson or it'll be another 6 goal whupping. Just like Foghorn givin' it to the Dog.

I won't be able to watch the game tonight. May have to do it the old fashioned way, radio, albeit internet radio. I trust you BitCHes to keep me otherwise informed with colourful dialogue. It's a good thing I'm familiar with the 4HF lingo.

According to the CotU mediots, Kadri and Gardiner = Esposito and Orr. Poor Randy dealing with those fools.

  8. BTW - I loves me some Foghorn Leghorn!!

  9. Love Foghorn! My 88 year-old dad still does a kick-ass Foghorn Leghorn imitation. "Whats da matter with you, boy? Your lips keep movin' but ders nothin comin out." What parenting skills he has....

We certainly need to extract some vengance on the Islanders. (and that is not a sentence you see written very often.)

Foghorn is the fowl equivalent of Rick Mercer.
    Bless both of them.

    More TSN hype:

It’s a Sign that Kadri is Ready: he can shut down Stamkos, the most prolific goal scorer in the NHL today, AND he got 3 assists. There’s no stopping Kadri. And, y’know, he did all that in less than 17min of icetime.

The only remaining challenge is Malkin and Crosby. Once he aces those tests, just like he aced his test against Stamkos (also per Siegel) then Kadri can retire as the best player in the game.

Jonas Siegel .... wow what a Leaf homer. I couldn't make it to the end.

    2. the Maritimer2:26 PM

I don't know about the french reporters but you never, ever see that kind of blatant homerism by the Gazette reporters like Hickey and Stubbs. TSN, Sportsnet and CBCToronto fall over themselves to worship at the altar of some made in T.O. superstar. Like Domi. It's beyond pathetic.

      Delete
    3. Chester3:28 PM

Well of course when you cheer for the Leaf year after year you lose some perspective and this kind of journalism might be neccessary from a fan sanity point of view. I know last year was tough on us Hab fans, just imagine what it must be like to be a Leaf homer with year after year of nothing but Bee Bukie fuck ups, trading away No 1 picks, Celine is your captain, Komosauraus is your bright light saviour, your offensive stars are Donut Boy and Grabiteski .... I mean think about it. Leaf Nation needs Siegel. He's prob a psychiatrist in disguise as a beat writer. Keep the fans off the suicide watch and keep the molotov cocktails from flying through the windows of MLSE and consuming the greedy and inept.
      Go Habs!

    4. Good stuff Chester. This seagull wad, aka shit hawk, is tsn's leaf blogger and is paid to write nothing but superlatives, rhymes with laxative. He's a wannabe pfuckdaddy, who also spends his time sucking off leaf. The G&M's local leaf fanboy mirtle actually had the blue balls to label kadri a 'potential superstar' and went at length to stroke and splooge, which I guess must now be taught in journalism school or something. They all skipped out on the professional integrity course to go to a wendell clark autograph signing.

      Delete
    5. the Maritimer5:00 PM

Those leaf blogger fucks don't have half your integrity moeman. They can't even spell it. Even we comment hacks don't drink any koolaid. We can dish out constructive criticism with the best of them.

    6. Thx the M.

I chalk up the leaf mediot delusion to a collective desperation over their team's half-century futility. The slightest bump in performance, like say one game, has these nut jobs scaring/scarring their pets.

    1. Saw it on tsn, where I also saw this front page alert: "The Montreal Canadiens have suffered just one regulation loss over their last 18 games. They'll visit the one club to best them in 60 minutes over that span on Thursday night when they take on the New York Islanders. The surging Canadiens have gone 13-1-4 since a 6-0 home loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Feb. 9."

They can't get over it and they hate the Habs.

moe, that was their Stanley Cup. They'll milk that forever.

    3. True enough but read carefully. Whoever wrote that shit and hit the publish button decided to bookend "suffered just one regulation loss over their last 18 games" and "since a 6-0 home loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Feb. 9". A tiny paragraph but twice mentioning what makes them spend their loads. Sick fucks.

    4. I just woke up and saw that blarb on TSN and came directly here to mention it. I don't think I've heard a single game mentioned so much in the NHL since....no, I don't think I ever have. I'm not even exaggerating. I don't know the final score of the final game of the SCF last year, but I sure do know the date and score of the second last game between the leaf and Habs this year. Oh yeah, that's right, the Habs dominated and destroyed the leaf since then. Funny how that's never brought up.

Yeah...the Pens just beat your beloved broons twice last week. The Habs beat them in their last meeting, and got within inches of taking them out the year they 'won' the Cup (as a much weaker team, and with the whole league against them).

Chicago and Anaheim and streets ahead of everyone else in the NHL right now, why aren't they making videos about them? Oh yeah, because they're 'objective' panelists don't care about anyone but the broons and the leaf.
