  1. This team has shown that it can be offensively explosive, but they don't seem too inspired anymore. Like I said before, don't really blame them. What's the point of pressing if you know the next leaf shot will go in.

  5. What's even worse is that we'll have to listen for months about how the leaf are such a better team, the Habs couldn't keep up, they're too small, blah blah blah. When really, the Habs have outplayed them in every way except goaltending.

  8. The first rule of hockey is that the fucking leaf is the lowest form of scum and are never to be tolerated. The leaf are fucking scum not worthy to skate on the same ice as the Habs. They are the fucking poorest excuse for a pro hockey operation ever formed. They are sickening and disgusting and make me ill. To be losing to them right now makes me sick. But I am a Habs fan and I live and die with mu Habs. I believe they can still win tonight. I refuse to accept defeat to the leaf EVER!!!!

Go habs go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!

  9. Some sensible commentary tonight. What's his face said the leaf should remember how they won this. They're not the better team, they just faced shite goaltending.

Therrien needs to smack them around the dressing room. Just because they clinched they still need killer instinct heading into the playoffs.

  23. Well, Habs stay in 2nd anyway. But we'll hear about this game for years to come. I bet TSN is having a full on brawl right now on who gets to write the recap. What's the over/under on how many times they use the following words:
    DOMINATE
    BLOW OUT
    EMBARRASS
    KESSEL

I'll take over 6 on each for a tenner.

  33. According to TSN there's still 10 minutes left. They're going to drag this out as long as possible.

  34. On the TSN app, there's some Blue Jays article posted under the "Leafs knock out Price early, rout Canadiens" headline. Someone's getting fired tomorrow.

  36. Now that I've had time to soak it in(the vodka, I mean), here is what I have to say.

What is all this garbage about this being a playoff preview? Yeah, the TO media is hyping it up, but so is Montreal. The Habs are ahead of the Bruins, they have been almost all of the season (minus some weekend games, a few hours here and there). Why is it that the Habs will "probably" finish 4th? What evidence supports this? Yeah, they lost to the leaf tonight, but the broons lost to the worst team in the league that had one win in their last 18 games (or some such). Why are the Habs constantly assumed to be behind the broons when that is simply NOT THE CASE?

Then you have the leaf. 3 points up on the Sens, 4 on the Isles (and 5 on the Rangers). Why have they been assigned a guaranteed 5th spot? At least that makes more sense, seeing as they're already there. I would even say it's probable. But the Habs aren't given that assumption even though they've been much more consistent.

The Habs have more of a chance at meeting the Isles, Sens, Jets or the Rangers in the first round. The leaf have more of a chance at meeting the broons (and possibly the Caps). But the mediots don't hype it up when those teams meet.

Here's why: Obviously, the media wants hype and excitement, especially for a team that history shows still has a chance to collapse and miss the entire thing. But more importantly, the assumption of the Habs meeting the leaf kills two birds with one stone by these biased morons. 1) the Habs will falter; 2) it avoids the more likely scenario of playing the broons in the first round, a team the leaf has had a very hard time beating for years.

As Sergio Momesso said after the game tonight, "What rivalry?" They haven't met in the playoffs in years, mostly because the leaf hasn't made it most of those decades (including the last, what 8 or 9?).

And that's my rant. The boys will beat Philly on Monday, book it.

    3. Dude, I stayed home last night, a Saturday and woke up at the crack of dawn for this pile. Many of us were betrayed.

What is bothering me also is the Montreal's media insistence that this was a total team failure. The fact is, the Habs dominated the 1st, but then got scared of letting the puck anywhere near their end. Fine, Price had a bad game (and Buddha let in a softie right away, too), I'm sure he'll bounce back. But let's not pretend there's some sort of teamwide meltdown going on.

    4. Therrien doesn't point fingers, they win or lose as a team. I however have no problem pointing at Price for this one. He"ll bounce back.

Will he? Maybe against Philthy out of the spotlight. Two week's from now his ass should be parked on the bench. Maybe they still lose with Budda in net, but I bet they won't start in such a deep hole.
I'm finding something else to do that night.

They don't handle the spotlight very well. That's twice they've been smoked on national tv against Toronto. The less said about Price the better. I can't take any positives out of that mess last night. Fucking humiliating.
