Meh, now that the torontomapleleafs have made the playoffs all the focus will be on them. CBC, TSN and Sportsnet won't even know the Canadiens exist.
Betcha CBC takes the torontomapleleafs and the Canucks as their first picks, they'll get Montreal by default if the beaners pass them. Seems kind of inevitable.
Oh well, my expectations were low to begin with so, whatever.
Well there's no point in getting our collective knickers in a twist, it is what it is. I'm sure les boys are even less happy than we are.after having such a great start. I'm scratching my head over the alleged impact over losing Emmy. He's not Bobby Orr or Larry for that matter. It will take a couple of games for Diaz to find his form but he should be a help. You have to think that mental and physical fatigue is playing a big part in this.
Agreed. I don't believe for a minute the wheels came off because (Y)Emelin got hurt. There were a few games where he and Markov were a disaster zone in their own end. Diaz is not the cavalry either. It all starts in the net. Somethings wrong with Price. If the rest of them can't trust him to make a save they know they are fucked and play accordingly. Either bench him for the duration and let Budaj play out the string to get him ready or let Price work it out. If it's the latter then it may be a fucking circus until the end.
So, Jersey, Winnipeg and the fucking torontomapleleaf to finish out. Can they at least win one?
Im of the opinion of Les boys recent fuckin swoon, and of TFS looking like the 2nd coming of Racicot..we will end up in 4th (maybe even 5th), and end up playing the stoopid fuckin leaf in the 1st round. Im hoping we get our shit together in the last three games.
Devils lose, which eliminates them from the playoffs. We get them on the rebound of that, so hopefully they'll be all demoralized. Well, more demoralized than the Habs anyway.
I think fatigue is playing a part, the Habs have had one of the tougher schedules in the league (no 3 days off in a while, big homestand to start the season, none since, 7 back to back games). Magic number to clinch home ice is 3, whether they earn 3 points or the leaf lose 3 points in losses. Rangers, Islanders and Sens all within striking distance of the leaf, so despite what TSN and CBC is cramming down our throats a 5th place finish for them is far from decided.
Whatever happens, they need some momentum and confidence going into the playoffs.
