  10. Moeman - You start my Friday with a fuckin' awesome MLP shot - Merci Beaucoup! It's ll good from here on in.

Now I have me a bit of a theory about Saturday night. Part of me is dreading it because the fuckin leaf have had our number this year (for the most part) and the last thing they need is momentum going into the playoffs. So how about this approach...A huge "FUCK YOU" to buttman, the nhl and leafbc - rest the fuckin'lot. Ryder looks like he's carrying an injury - so rest him. Markov is tired - Rest him. PFK need s rest - so rest him. The Gallys need arest - so rest 'em. I think Steve said it in the last thread - play the bulldogs. The game is on National televison and because this is the first time in, what, a hundred fuckin' years that they've made the playoffs, they will be pumped up. - Fuck 'em - give them the kids and make it a non event. The Habs have at least 5 goalies in the wings so play none of them in a game that means nothing. Who really cares...and don't give them any sort of opportunity for a moral victory - fuck 'em all! Play the kids and make it a non-event. That way, if the Habs have to play the leaf in the 1st round, they have nothing immediate to build on. They have nothin at all to gain by sending out a first string team. The fuckin' leaf will goon it up and someone will get injured. If TFS starts and gets shelled, what purpose will that serve? If he gets run, what purpose will that serve? You know that either timfuckingpeel or whatshisfuckinnamelee will be reffing somit'll be a shitfest from start to finish. Don't give 'em anything. Play a bunch of names bobcold doesn't know so we can all laugh at him while we get drunk. Fuck 'em all!!

That's my idea anyway. Whaddya'll think?

    2. Said the same last night. Play the Dogs. Fuck, they could lose 20-0 and I could care less. It'll be a leaf sploogefest extraordinnaire. These sick fucks have been waiting for this moment for nearly ten years.

  11. The leaf is all hyped up after another win. They've been winning while being outplayed and it'll bite them in the ass come playoffs. Outshot 16-1 in the 3rd, 29-6 in the last 40 minutes, against the worst team playing for nothing. TSN is quick to point out that the Jets came out flat in the 3rd but act like their leaf won a playoff series against a nothing team.

I don't fear the leaf. Habs were outplaying them last game till Price shit the bed. They can't win the Cup with cheap goals and lucky bounces. I'm with everyone else, rest the good guys. We have the same chance of facing the same set of teams either 2nd or 4th. So they beat the leaf, Habs end up 2nd and they end up 7th. They lose, it's 4th v 5th. Or some other variation.

It's leaf or Isle or Rangers or Sens. I'd take the leaf or Isle, Sens just getting stronger and Rangers are dangerous even though they under performed in the season.

It might be the whiskey this fine Friday Eve, but GO HABS GO!

    1. No joke, reading in some Canadian media how Carlyle deserves the Jack Adams because, and I quote (wish I could find it now), "No other coach has turned their team around from last season like he has."

See, the Habs were worse than the leaf as long as that headline worked. Now, it works better that the leaf was worse.

WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AT WAR WITH EASTASIA, AND NEVER WITH OCEANIA.

      Delete
    2. Yeah the Habs finished lower, and rose higher, the the leaf should win the award for difficulty.

  16. No, the "CODE" as I understand it from HNIC would be dressing goons to injure all the leaf players. I grew up watching leaf playoff hockey (yeah, I'm that old) and that is their game, always. First game of series, use a no name goon to take out their best players. Ask the Snes or Isles, they know. That was even pre-Burke. That is HNIC hockey. Until we're left with Fraser and Cooke.

I say sit everybody. Fuck the leaf. Bring up the entire Hamliton Dogs including the coaching staff. That will send a message to CotU and their mouhpieces. The National Embarassment would take a bird. The impending leaf victory would be hollow and some of our people could spend the game taking runs at Lurch and Doughnut Boy. Meanwhile we send the boys to an undisclosed location with adequate supply of tequila and hookers for a gonzo Le Weekend. Nothing like starting the playoffs with a raging hangover.
    Hell ya.
    Go Habs!

There was some criticism for not pulling Price last Saturday against Washington, three days after Peter Budaj was yanked (and Price inserted) in Pittsburgh. I disagree with that. It is critical for Price to work. There aren't enough off-days, so he needs to "practice" in games. No point in resting him now."

I watched Hockey Central @ Noon today, actually had to record it because it was opening day at Rockwood Park golf course, anywho, Mallard, MacLean and Morrison, 3 Toronto hacks all picked the leaf to win in a playoff series. Go figure. Mallethead said and I quote: "The leaf should dress McLaren and Orr tomorrow night and run Montreal right out of the rink just to set a precedent." Wow, what a fucking concept. Let's beat the other team up so we can win a hockey game. Those fuckers don't deserve to ever win anything ever again. I hope they go out in four straight.

One thing moe keeps pointing out regarding the 3 toronto networks, cbc, tsn and sportsnet is they have not a shred of integrity among them.

I saw that too the M. Apparently it's already a done deal. Habs-Leafs playing in the 4-5 positions with the leafs easily handling the habs in a best of 7. Now for some actual journalism:
If the Habs beat the leaf (regulation, ot or shootout), which is very possible and the bruin lose to the Caps, which is very possible, the Habs WIN THE FUCKING DIVISION! Even if the Bruins then beat the sens on Sunday to tie the Habs in points (and potentially ROW's), the HABS beat the fuckers 3 games to 1 in the regular season and henceforth would WIN THE FUCKING DIVISION! Fuck off Toronto hackfucks! Are you fucking sports journalists or fucking fanboys? Don't answer.
I dunno. Maybe they're better off getting the leaf in the first round rather than the Rangers, who may come to life at anytime and have a goalie that can steal a series on his own.

      GYMFHG! And Die leafcocksuckers Die!

    3. the Maritimer8:19 PM

MacLean and Mallard are admitted leaf fans. Morrison has to play nice or his sources would dry up. NONE of the fucking toronto hacks dares to badmouth "their" team or they would be ostracized.

    4. Great stuff guys. I'll never spend another second of my life watching/listening to sn as I believe they are the sickest of the sick bunch. the M. makes a great point in that they are localized fucks that cheer their vile local team. Failing to do so would be a death knell. Even supposed honourable jouranimals like blob mackenzie tow the line. Others, like bjstuck see a career in lights slagging the Habs. Regardless, I will forever respect the CH organization for remaining classy and not confronting these sick fucks. We as fans need to do the dirty work of documenting the disgust. It ain't easy, it ain't fun but it keeps me sane.

  32. The playoffs have yet to start and garbage like this will make you puke, don't read this:

    1. What a bunch of garbage. So Demers sits in Ottawa with a bunch of Torontonians and suddenly thinks everyone across our great land is rooting for the leaf. What a surprise. Trust me, I grew up in Ontario, they really don't believe anyone else exists and how could anyone else think of anything else 24/7 besides Toronto? Poll after poll suggests that more Canadians root for the Habs than any other team, and that more Canadians root AGAINST the leaf than any other team. But, like I say below, facts should never get in the way especially when we're talking about the leaf.

"A team that, with the magic of the Sedins, does not need to punch anybody in the nose to win — and maybe that is their problem."

That says it all, doesn't it?

  33. Another love letter to the leaf. Bullet points.

-The leaf beat the Pens both times they played this year (actually the leaf lost 2/3, but don't let facts get in the way).

-Not only is it a given that the leaf will meet the Habs in the first round, it's understood that they will beat them. I'm not joking, it's just assumed, they go straight to the second round.

-The Cup parade will be held at noon on Yonge street every single Sunday for the rest of the calendar year.

-Oh, also, I was reminded of Luke Schenn, a former future Crosby until he got unceremoniously traded and forgotten. Luke who?

Honestly, I go to the Toronto papers, scan the headlines and that's about it. I don't (usually) read any of that leaf shit. Only if they are losing or got the crap beat out of them by somebody, then all bets are off.

Now that the shame of Canada has actually qualified for post season play, all the media hacks in the CotU are beside themselves to wallow in the fan driven fantasy victories awaiting them. I'm waiting for the inevitable crash and burn and then see which piles up quicker, the excuses or the shit in their hands.

The great Ken Dryden has written an amazing article about the city of Boston in the G&M. Makes me momentarily admire the people and their city. What a classy guy Dryden is, he should have been leader of the Liberal party instead of Ignatief. He might have actually beat out big Steve.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Just listening to the radio, guy says " do you think Brian Burke will get any credit for this monumental achievement?" What? It's a freakin' first playoff round. Pathetic. Even if they get past the first they"ll crash & burn in the second. What a load of crap.

  37. Here's how HNIC will respond to the two possibilities for tonight:

    1) leaf win. OMG!!1!! This just shows how they're going to CRUSH the Habs in round 1!

    2) Habs win. Leafs were smart to rest tonight! They obviously wanted to gear up for their unprecedented achievement!

Interesting to note HIO reports that the leaf had a full practice on Friday. Habs had an option skate.
