What the fucking hell is wrong with this League?! Gryba returns tomorrow, the game will need good tight officiating, so I know...LET'S SEND TIM FUCKING PEEL TO DO GAME 4!
I don't know what it is about us. Everybody and his brother just loves beating The Habs. Got a "buddy" in Ottawa, perfectly normal guy. Capable of seeing the big picture, always a thoughtful analysis of things. He just loved the fact that Lego was on the ice face down unconscious. He loved the time out with 17 seconds left. He couldn't stop snickering about his goons beating the shit out of our smaller guys. I'm telling you there is no class or respect out there anymore. Gone are those days. Makes me sad. I don't look forward to watching the game.
He won't win it. Too controversial and a perceived cancer in the room. The main stream Hab hating media won't stand for it. We'll be lucky if Kid G can win the Calder, the fuckers will come up with some excuse to deny him as well.
Just got back from quiz night. Won a bucket of money for my team (sorry, win as a team, lose as a team, yada yada yada...). Australian Capital Territory. BOOM! Even beat the Aussies to that one.
It may be the double whiskeys, but I'm feeling RAMPED!
I went to bed after the 3 - 1 goal in the third period (it is an hour later out here BTW). I have never been so glad in my life. I am emotionally frail when I see them about to drive over a cliff. The only game they won was the one when I was watching the Mooseheads. So I will be tuned into the Mooseheads in Baie Comeau tonight. GYFHG!!!!!!
What pisses me off us we know how well they are capable of playing, including Price. Then they all shit the bed. It drives me nuts, if they just stick to their game plan they could make it to the finals. FFS they better win tonight.
Events move so fast these days. What caught my eye was something I have always known. The government is recording everything you say and do. What made me sad is they have not adopted any of my stated solutions.
Go Habs Go, Go Habs Go Go Habs Go Go Habs Go. Go Habs Go, Go Habs Go Go Habs Go Go Habs Go. Go Habs Go, Go Habs Go Go Habs Go Go Habs Go. Go Habs Go, Go Habs Go Go Habs Go Go Habs Go. Go Habs Go, Go Habs Go Go Habs Go Go Habs Go. Go Habs Go, Go Habs Go Go Habs Go Go Habs Go. Go Habs Go, Go Habs Go Go Habs Go Go Habs Go.

Hmmm, I am pretty sure that a hockey player at the NHL level does not need to look down at his skates to make sure he is stopping. I am also pretty sure that in the course of a hockey stop that your back foot doesn't just come out in front of the lead foot by inches. I am also pretty sure that if you are gonna kick it in, you should at least put your stick on the ice to make it look like you tried to play hockey. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU............
The coach and the players can't say this, but I will....I think we're seeing the supplemental discipline that the NHL has handed out this game. Total bullshit.
SAME FUCKING SHITSHOW WITH A TIM PEEL ON THE ICE. Also those two "icings" were not icings. And those 3 Habs floating by the empty net should feel SHAME.
The NHL really does have it down to a science, don't they? Giving too many PPs to one team is too obvious. Just allow the other team to take cheapshots. And if that's not enough, just call non-icings and kick one team's guys out of the faceoff circle. They'd be crazy to complain about that. Then a nice kicked in goal here, an ignored hit from behind there, and they get the result they want.
No other pro league gets this many questionable calls/non-calls. And that, in part, is why it'll never take off in the US.
Having said that, Habs should have still won. Another pathetic effort by half the guys on the ice. MB just has to get rid of the dead weight in the off season, aka starting this weekend.
Good point. $hit calls, non-calls, everything and yet this team was poised to take it. There was an empty neat to seal the deal. I am enraged beyond belief at the soccer goal, Messi would be proud, but the team needed to give the league, the Sens, everyone the finger with the empty net goal. It hurts so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please bury them in MTL, please.
We are all Habs fans here but this slight goes beyond team bias. That was the biggest case of a fixed $hit show I have seen. Should the team have won no matter? Yeah, they had chances and Anderson is not superman. There are open corners galore on both glove and stick side. Nevertheless, the league has stopped even trying to be subtle. There is no way they even tried to review that first one in Toronto. ARrrrrgh. Such a strong effort and one phone call. Now with Price playing well, he get hurt and for the first time I can remember, can't finish a game of his own accord. This sucks...for lack of better terminology.
Wow, apparently the NHL has officially stated that there was a mistake on one faceoff, the one before the 1st goal. Now they just have to admit to the other 3234 fuck ups and it'll be ok.
What the fucking hell is wrong with this League?! Gryba returns tomorrow, the game will need good tight officiating, so I know...LET'S SEND TIM FUCKING PEEL TO DO GAME 4!
ReplyDeleteFUCKING MORONS.
Don't fool yourself, the league knows exactly what's its doing.
DeleteGlad I stayed away last night and didn't have to endure the Habs-bashing by the unbiased leaftv commentators. Fuck those assholes.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what it is about us. Everybody and his brother just loves beating The Habs. Got a "buddy" in Ottawa, perfectly normal guy. DeleteHmmm, I am pretty sure that a hockey player at the NHL level does not need to look down at his skates to make sure he is stopping. Delete690 reports that MB is having a word right now with what's his name, head of officiating
ReplyDeleteGalchenyuk 9:44
ReplyDeleteDesharnais: 16:17
As long as they want to appease the French, we'll continue to see these kinds of stats, and these kinds of results.
To be fair, DDD played a lot better than previously. At least I noticed him for some positives, not just for breathing air. That being said...
DeleteWe are all Habs fans here but this slight goes beyond team bias. That was the biggest case of a fixed $hit show I have seen. Should the team have won no matter? Dear MB,
You need a grittier team.
The Saint
Wow, apparently the NHL has officially stated that there was a mistake on one faceoff, the one before the 1st goal. Now they just have to admit to the other 3234 fuck ups and it'll be ok.
ReplyDeleteCould be worse, we could be Nuck fans.
