Great job, enjoy the long sexy weekend.

I watched the second period of fuckfaces/rags, that's 40 minutes of my life wasted. I'll check out Dietz and Thrower tonight on the Memorial Cup game.

  5. Great SF, thanks Moe.

It is difficult to accept a first round loss, but the Habs really have a team to build upon. They came a long way from last year, baby and MB is a great GM.

The Halifax Mooseheads play their first Memorial Cup game tomorrow against the Portland Winterhawks. I will be watching and feeling bad for MacKinnon and Drouin who will likely end up being drafted by Tampa and Florida. Bleh. But in the meantime, Go Moose Go!

    1. The Star Trek stuff is so cool. And I will now STFU about I am about Upstream Color, but in many ways seeing it in 2013 is as revolutionary as seeing Star Trek in 65. The difference being is that nowdays everyone expects the Spanish Inquisition.

    3. I will not see the movie this week, maybe the next, but there is a SF Star Trek that has my viewing interest boiling. The ironic thing is I can spend $100 to go to the movies, but a Star Trek SF is priceless. No I am not talking about no TFS reference. But that brings a whole new school of thought to the process. If TFS was a Star Trek character who would he be? DGMB total Spock. Scotty is Gorgus. Sulu I got to go with Kid G. Bones is Cheese.
Checkov is (Y). Kirk is big TiTs.

Morning Folks. Great SF moe. You know if Burgervan can't magically trade up to #2 or 3 at the draft (hey, maybe TB needs a Jesus Price to go along with their Bishop - Habs could take Cedrick back again...), then TB should offer #3+ to Florida for Huberdeau. FLA could get Nate and Drouin.

Anyway, Dietz looked good in the little bit I saw of the game last night.
Think I'll wait a week or to for StarTrek. mmmmm Uhura.

I don't think MB is going to go after any high picks, I could see cashing in a second or third with their first to move up into the top 15, maybe. I'm thinking the Habs will have a fairly high pick in 2014. We are stuck with Price for the time being, and I mean "we" as strictly fans. I never did get to see the Memorial Cup game last night, I heard Dietz was OK but Dalton Thrower was on for all three Knights goals.

I am going to Star Trek tonight with the family and will set the PVR for the Mooseheads game to watch when I get home. Now, off to do some long overdue yard work.

  13. Went to a buddy's bachelor party last night at some cottage in the countryside. Didn't know any of the other guys there, but about 10/16 of them were leaf fans. Oh jesus the excuses. Quotes of note:

"I don't watch any other games, it's a waste of time. Only the Leafs matter!"

"I'd take Reimer over Price no questions asked." (everyone agreed)

"You guys (Habs) embarrassed yourselves more than we did!"

Me: "I don't like how the CBC favours the Leafs."
Leaf fan: "Why wouldn't they? It's their network."
    Me: "It's the national network."
    LF: "Exactly."
Me:"And there are 7 teams in Canada."
    LF: "So?"

"Bob Cole is the greatest hockey play by play guy ever, top 5 in any sport."

Then one (or more) of them stole the money I won from them in poker right the fuck out of my wallet while I took a piss (we're talking triple digits here). Couldn't even drink that away since someone drank all my vodka during the game (I stick to beer while gambling). Classy guys.

Finally, some pertinent Habs news, two top Swedes, current world champions, btw, signed - Magnus Nygren (D) sounds like a good one. Collberg, another 5-11 winger, we'll see. As we've seen recently you need some neanderthals in your line-up to compete in Buttman's league.

I was looking through the Hockey News Draft Preview on the newsstand today, I noticed that 3 players the Habs should be interested in fall right into the range of where they will probably pick. Zac Fucale, Anthony Mantha and Frederick Gauthier all in the 24 to 32 pick range. The latter two are big boys, 6-4 and 6-5 respectively. I hope Timmins gets good reports on them.

Price is an average goalie at best. No glove hand and a five hole you could drive an SUV through. The Habs could live with him while Fucale develops in junior and the AHL.

Brad Richards was/is a damn good player. When Tampa won the Cup in '04, eliminating Montreal along the way he was the MVP of the playoffs. At the end of that season he and Vinnie were both going to be UFA's. People wanted the Habs to go after Vinnie for the obvious reasons, personally I hoped that Tampa would throw the bank at him and the Habs could scoop up Richards. Tampa signed both of them (losing the most important player Khabibulin) and word was that Feaster signed Richards to a big extension because he was scared shitless that Gainey was going after him, which he was. It's all water under the bridge now, but if New York were to buy Brad out, if I was Bergevin and could get him on the cheap I'd look at it. The most likely scenario is Torts gets the boot and Brad gets re-instated.

Simple PFK is going to want 9 mill next year, and the cap is six point five. You do not build a winning team around 9 mill players unless they can score at will.
