  1. Just read that Todd article you posted about PK. Very good. I like that they point out that the people who say PK has an attitude problem have never actually met him. It's all in the language these people use, too; "He's cocky" "He doesn't know his place" "He's immature" "He's not humble enough" Lots of these have been said about a certain President south of the border, too.

  3. If, IF, the Sens do move on to the next round no way 'lady luck' aka league manipulation follows them there. Ottawa ain't Bettman's pick over the Pens or Caps (or any American team for that matter). I do look forward to hearing from Sens fans how unfair the officiating is once they're the ones watching Letang bicycle kick goals in and Cooke getting away with headshots.

    2. Not Geoff Molson10:40 AM

I watched the first TSN highlights of the BOS-TOR series yesterday (had been watching the relatively neutral NBC highlights while in Florida at a sales conference).

Made me want to fucking gag. Duthie commented that "the Leafs have come so far" since they were not getting intimidated and pushed around by Boston. Guess what Leafs fans - nobody gives a shit how well you do, they only care about how many that you won. But then the Leafs wouldn't have a clue about that since they haven't even made the final since 1967.

That being said, TSN had a nice dagger in their highlights against Leaf fans...last time someone scored a hat trick against the Leafs in the playoffs in Toronto - Gretzky in '93.

Time for the Habs to stun the league with another Slovak superstar performance.

Quick note on the Jack Todd piece on PK. Umm, was it on purpose that the fictional name he was using was Benson? Todd doesn't come across as a humourous guy much, but maybe his tongue was planted firmly in cheek.

I just remember as a kid, somebody would ask us to do something. A common reply was "Do I look like Benson?" Yeah, I grew up in a redneck town. Now I am an evolved redneck.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Good times Bad times, as fans we are going to see a whale of hockey game

    ReplyDelete
  31. Let's be clear here, the Habs have played 2.5 bad periods (the 3rd in G1, the 3rd in G3 and the last half of the 3rd in G4) and they would have gotten away with the last one if the refs didn't pre-decide the game. The Habs are still the better team, they just need a break or two.

The best players need to be the best players. Ryder needs to score, DD needs to do something, anything, PK needs to do what he does.

My humble coaching advice would be, crash the net. Just crash it. Let them try to call interference again and again in front of this crowd. Anderson really isn't that good. Really, it's true. They make a big deal about the half season he played, but everyone knows that level of play would have never lasted over an 82 game season. Just rattle him.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I repeat, there's no fun in being 100% convinced your team is going to be eliminated, right?

Just one more goal, just to poke the league in the eye. Then run him. Then enjoy them getting hosed with all this BS calls next round. The Habs got beat up by a bigger stronger team. This can be addressed eventually and MB will take care of it. He came from a Western conference team and knows to compete with those guys the team will have to get tougher.

Well after last season it was a great ride.
But if half your team is five foot nothing and 145 pounds you aren't going anywhere in this modern thug era of playoff hockey. We need to get bigger and way way meaner next year and I think DGMB knows this. That 4 years for DDD is not looking so good now is it? A team can afford to have a Gallyger. But not a Gallyger Giaonta Plexxx DDD and CCGhostRider with a D of Dialzeling Georges GranpawVodkov and Uncle Frankie. We get out muscled in the offence and don't scare anybody in the defense. However ...
Like I said it was a great ride, the beer was cold RDS was awesome and I think I'll take Mrs Chester out for supper tonite.
So long FHF'ers have a great Le Summer!
