TMS pops in to laugh at the Leaf, CBC, TSN, and every mediot

Bullet points for what you missed whilolololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololol

This at least makes us feel the tiniest bit better.

As we expect this is the last TMS for while, we just wanted to take the opportunity to publicly thank moeman for all his outstanding work this season. We know how tough it is to run a blog when you actually have a job and a life, and we had 4-7 people to do it. Moe has essentially done it alone. We all must be very nice to him so he will return next year for a full 82-game Cup-winning season.

TMS out.

Thank you for all of the entertainment and effort, Moeman and 29 -- Go Pens and rags (for this series only, then torts you can fuck right off) How ironic, and certainly not in a good way, is it that uber-cunt j.jacobs, who was so intent on killing off the season, gets at least another 2 home revenue games ?? what an utterly despicable organisation.

  3. Oh the leaf could not have lost any better. This should destroy them for a least another decade.

what happened to "I would like to see the leaf beat the Broons." ?

    1. still would have liked to seen the leaf beat the broon, but I am not sad in anyway about the loss. As I say the most massive collapse in NHL history, first choice the leaf

  5. As horrific as it was rooting fir the Bruins it was for the greater good. Go Pens!

  6. Thanks Moeman, but I question, Why did the Leafs put Johnny Bower in net for the last 10 minutes?

Epic collapse. So incredible Leaf like. I couldn't be happier for The National Embarrassment, CBC and The Toronto Sports Network. What will they do now? Back the beaners? Back the Ottawa Bruins? OMG.

So I wake up this morning to the glorious news that the CBC/TSN/Sportsnet darlings the mighty leaf blew a 4-1 lead and fucking choked. McLame must have been choking on his bile last night. LMFAO!!!!!!

Watching "Maple Leaf Central @ Noon", the crying is delicious.

Yes Maritimer, we're all feeding on the tears of Mediot Nation. Glorious. Hilarious. Tremendous.
I never knew just HOW MUCH I hated that team (and in reality it's that team's fans and the media moreso than the team itself, though I also despise it).

I realized last night that I don't hate the Leafs team per se (and would likely respect them if they had a different logo on the front), it's the jock sniffing media circus around the Leafs that I really hate.

The Leafs fans have been fed shit for years by said media circus and have grown to accept their mediocrity...so I don't really hate them rather just feel a pity you would for someone who hasn't realized that they need an intervention.

Do thousands of fans walking away from Maple Leafs Square count as a parade?

The only reason I hate the Leafs is the blatant cheerleading by Canada’s National Broadcaster. I don’t care if TSN or Sportsnet favour Toronto, they cater to that market. But the HNIC hockey panel particularly PJ Stock’s cheapshots at the Canadiens have totally turned me off. I hate the Bruins but at this juncture they were the lesser of two evils. Fuck Toronto. Go Rangers!

  16. I am ecstatic that the leaf, fell as designed. But what about the broon and Comcast. Is there anyway possible imagine it, tha half way through the last period of an NHL hockey game the team with a four to one lead loses. NO FUCKING WAY. So what is left is the WWF before they changed their name. This league needs to establish some sort of hand off officials or we are going to jerk off at the prospect of making the playoffs just like the leaf.

  17. On a personal matter, what about Upsteam Color. This is a movie with a riff like Chuck Berry in Johnny be good. Its an event, its a call to arms, its an explanation of how the twentieth century all went wrong. This is a movie a decade before its time, but I for one do not want my piglets stuffed into a bag and thrown into the river to drown. What is happing to your piglets right now right here? That is a crime and someone should make a movie about it.

  20. Things I've learned about "hockey" from TSN/CBC over the last few years.

    1) The Habs losing to a (much better with Greg's daddy at the NHL helm) Bruins team in 2011 in G7 OT means they were outmuscled, outclassed, and embarrassed. The leaf doing the same to a (much weaker and on decline) Bruins team in 2013 means they should hold their heads up high, they proved a lot.

    2) The Habs going out in the first round after an incredible comeback season: Embarrassment. The leaf doing the same (with a much smaller comeback of a season)? UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE

    3) Kessel has proven everyone wrong, which he'll explain on the golf course next week.

    4) Habs have a lot of rebuilding to do. leaf is favourite for Cup next year.

If I wasn't licking my computer screen in glee at their collapse, I'd almost feel anger.

GO CANADA GO! GO PK GO!

    1. I also like how it's being framed now that if the leaf would have won, it would have been a 'major upset'. Is it ever a major upset when a 5th seed beats a 4th seed? Before the series started everyone was saying how the leaf would take the slumping broons. But suddenly it's the 93 Sens v the 91 Penguins.

  21. As others have said, it's not so much the leafs themselves, it's the arrogance that surrounds the organization which is only fed by the media. I actually do have many leaf fan friends and I do feel sorry for them at times. They're team uses and abuses them and gets away with it due to the cheerleading in the media. They can't even go watch a game, yet see empty seats on the TV because the Bay Street Bozos can't be bothered to show up.

I almost (almost) respect leaf fans who don't quit on this team. After this loss they interviewed quite a few people on the streets, many of whom were 17-25. They were only kids the last time the leaf even made the playoffs, but they've stuck with their team. I remember in University (the first time), it was a decade since the Habs Cup and it didn't look like they were even going to come close again anytime soon and someone asked me when I would just give up on them. Of course I said, NEVER! Imagine if it was that long for the PLAYOFFS.

Anyway, until these fans start rebelling against the ownership and management, and stop believing in the media hype, they are only bringing it upon themselves. You think Kessel is going to save the team? Well, then ride that pony but don't complain when it gets crushed beneath your weight.

  23. I enjoyed watching the Pens/Sens highlights. Conachar getting smashed right in the face in front of the ref with no call. Hey Ottawa, how does that feel? Gryba with an upper body injury. Poor kid!

Not so great when the MAN decides it's your turn to go, is it Senators?

  24. Thanks Moe. The Laffs/Broons game made me feel a little better. It was nice to think the Broons fans think they were about to lose to the Laffs and have the Laffs fans experience a third period meltdown. It was almost as good as my impossible dream. To have both teams lose.

My Halifax Mooseheads are off to the Memorial Cup this afternoon. Go Moose. The Metro Centre was rocking on Friday night and security let the fans come onto the ice to celebrate with the players. Ah, Junior Hockey...:o)

Took my daughter to get her hair cut last night. The lady cutting her hair was just finishing up a Moosehead (a haircut that is). Ciampini maybe. Two others with him taking pics. Not up close and personal on jr hockey players like McSplooge. Anyway, my 'brush' with hockeyness. I won't say greatness since I don't know who they were...except not Mackinnon or Drouin.

My daughter's no puck bunny. I said "those were three Mooseheads." and she said "The ones that go to my school?" She has no clue. Mackinnon and Drouin are the two at her school BTW.
