29 pops in for a Star Trek Sexy Friday (TOS edition)

Let's start with some bondage gear
Greetings, nerds! With moeman in the wilds of Ontario for some sort of stuff, I'm filling in and have decided that it's time for the Star Trek Sexy Friday that one, maybe two of you have been clamoring for! However, as a nerd myself, I was overwhelmed by the volume of ST sexiness. So I decided I would break it down by series. We'll start with the sexxxy highlights from The Original Series today, and future Sexy Fridays will feature other versions of Star Trek. Well except the new movies, because they don't exist. You hear me? DO NOT EXIST.

Happy Sexy Friday nerds, and DIE BROONS DIE.

I think I was the one who suggested a Star Trek Sexy Friday being a fan of the series and all I can say is..........FUCKING AWESOME YAAHHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

    Great job 29!!!

Some of those ladies costumes, well, they had to have used some glue to hold those things on their boobs. Underwear? Forget it, commando all the way.

I've got TOS on DVD and haven't watched them in years, gonna have to get them out soon.

  3. Greetings Nerds! (salutation of the year award) Great idea for SF 29 and M-timer. I was six years old when the original Star Trek came on TV. We had two channels so everyone knew about the quality shows, i.e. "Get Smart", "The Beverly Hillbillies", "Gillign's Island", "Dragnet" and "Hawaii 5-0" (not the new one :op ). It is not like today with 500 channels and people missing hidden gems like "Breaking Bad".

Anyway, as a young child this series was my first exposure to "sexy women".

On the DVD set the special effects people who worked on the show revealed some of their secrets about the stuff they would use for the "advanced equipment", some of it was salvaged styrofoam or discarded junk. They didn't have much of a budget.

I still love that show despite the coloured buttons and toggle switches at the controls.

29 and Steve, we should do a top 5 favourite episode comparison.

OK, in no particular order, the Maritimer's top 5 fave TOS episodes:

    1. Space Seed - Kahn (Ricardo Montalban) 'nuff said.
    2. The Galileo Seven - Loved Kirk trying to get Spock to admit he had an emotional outburst at the end.
    3. The Doomsday Machine - The Enterprise vs. a giant space cigar, Scotty gets the wrecked USS Constellation operational and "earns his pay".
    4. Tomorrow Is Yesterday - Kirk interrogated by the US Air Force base military police sergeant, " I've got enough on you to put you away for 200 years." Kirk: "That ought to be just about right."
    5. City On the Edge of Forever - Spock's ears explained. Kirk stops Bones from preventing Edith Keeler's accident.

2)City on the edge of forever
      3)Shore Leave
4)For the world is hollow and I have touched the sky
5)Let that be your last battlefield (slays prejudice)
The paradise Syndrome has to be included

4)For the world is hollow and I have touched the sky (Bones falls in love with a women)
5)Let that be your last battlefield (slays prejudice)
The paradise Syndrome has to be included (maybe this is my favorite, Kirk falls in love with a native person due to Amnesia, also saves the planet from an Astoria ed strike even though he is still thinking with his...)

Just FYI - Trekkie is not politically correct, Trekker is the preferred term. Doesn't sound as geekie I guess. I never wore costumes or any of that stuff, I just liked the show. It was way ahead of it's time.

I'm a huge Star Trek fan and hope 29 doesn't ban me if I say I like the latest movies, the first new one being very well done and the latest being OK.
I've seen many episodes several times but have never really watched a season at a time. About a month ago, I saw an episode with some nazis in it, and I swear I can't remember seeing it before! If I did, i don't remember.
as far as faves, go, it's gotta be the Kahn episode. I can't remember specifics but the hippies episode was pretty funny. I think purists probably hated it, but my take is it was almost mocking it's own popularity (which at the time was questionable at best I suppose)by throwing in pop culture references. my 2 cents.

    1. I have challenged 29 to state his case on the Star Trek Reboot. I watched the original on TV, no betamax, no vcr no netflicks, and in black and white. So I have now established my street cred on this. 29 is sitting back with his color copies and perhaps drug filled experiences. I have to admit if I had not been 9 years old at the time I might have joined him and gotten his insights.
The first Star Trek reboot was a work or art. The second was a formula pic, good but a total scavenger hunt. The third please be original.

One of the funnier episodes is "A Piece of the Action", where the Enterprise discovers a planet where the civilization has based their whole society on a book about the 1930's Chicago mobs.

One of the main characters (a mob boss) is now the old dude with the gravelly voice in those TD Bank commercials about being open on Sunday.

I don't mind the new movies, they had to do something to reboot the franchise, just like TimeWarner is doing with Man of Steel. The last TNG movie, Nemesis, was just God awful and that franchise had to go.

I liked that episode. Didn't realize the TD ref though. Have to check it out again. I hear MOS isn't very good. I'll check it out though.

    2. the Maritimer8:59 PM

OK, a mistake and correction. The actor in the Star Trek episode was Vic Tayback but the actor in the TD Bank commercial is actually Ben Hammer. The confusion for me was they sound so much alike and resemble each other in their later years. They were both born in Brooklyn hence they have that heavy accent which is what threw me off. The first time I heard Mr. Hammer in the commercial I immediately thought it was mob boss Krako from Star Trek. If you can listen to both men you'll see why I was mixed up. Sorry for the error, should have double checked my facts before making that assumption, not that anybody here would care about who was in a bank commercial.

I liked Man of Steel. I don't know what people are expecting from these movies, like Avengers or Iron Man....they are not Academy Award material. They are all-out fun super hero slugfests with great CG effects that entertain you for two hours or more. Just go have fun.

I'm going to check out World War Z, but on Tuesday cheap night.

      1-0 Hawks. Good.

Hey the m, back to the movies for a sec. Total agreement. I don't watch these because I'm expecting some sort of epic revelation - just to be entertained. And generally they do that. Hell, I'm entertained by Kevin Costner, Keanu Reeves and Nick Cage movies! Wickerman excepted. Just waiting for the 3 of them to team up to make one for the ages. Maybe The Matrix, no Bill and Ted meets dances with wolves meets ......wow, i don't have a cage movie....not ghostrider....con air? no... Maybe Bill and Ted's Waterworld Adventure with the Sorcerer's Apprentice.

  37. Back to movies: Enough has been said (and looked at) about the Trek.

I would comment on World War Z, but I'm still waiting for the ending to happen. The power must have gone out or something, because it just....stopped. I know everyone says the book is better which gets old because both a movie and book can be good. But WWZ the movie is nothing like the book, even the zombies are different. Only in American would they take a thoughtful socio-political critique of the modern world that is told in heart wrenching, dramatic and heart pounding snippets that take you around the world and over decades to prove the endurance of the human spirit and turn it into BRAD PITT SAVES HIS FAMILY! AND, ACCIDENTALLY, THE WORLD!

But, I mean, it was still sort of cool. Just want to reiterate that they scrapped an epic battle in Russia and replaced it with a 2 minute montage.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I could not have thought of a better ay to start my day than to read the scoreline and see a bruin collapse in the last 2 minutes of the game. I called the Hawks to win some time back and I am happy for them. This bodes well for our Habs. Suck it broons! Nice one Hawks. Go Habs Go!!

  59. I have pushed this theory for years, and never got a bite. But we should draft players based on the power of their off ice shot. There is a definite correlation there. Case in point, you live around Gorgus, see all the continual work done in the basement. Kid G has a powerful shot. So at the next combine I expect you are going to see something that makes a circle jerk look like a boyscout camp.

  60. Jesus, Kane and Toews aren't even done drinking out of the Cup yet and TSN is already getting on about ridiculous trade/signing rumors in leafland. Apparently, Letang is on his way. Except when you read the article and see that some second rate Pittsburgh reporter said on a Toronto radio station that Letang may have mentioned that if the Pens somehow don't sign him long term he might consider the leafs if there was a suitable long term deal.

So, to sum up, if the Cup contender team with 2/3 best players in the league don't decide to keep the Norris candidate for some reason, then perhaps, maybe, if everything were right and no one else thought to offer this incredibly talented young man a contract he *might* consider the leafs. As told by some random guy to a bunch of foaming leaf lovers who wouldn't let him on their show unless he had some juicy details that would satisfy other leaf lovers. I just hope Letang can gel with Luongo, Jagr, Gretzky, Iginla, Kipper, Nash, and every other superstar signing the leafs have had over the last few years.

Hab fans and media may be stupid, impatient and even cruel at times. But man, we're not this pathetic. When I shit talk our boys I do it to remind myself I am not as delusional or isolated or uneducated as leaf lovers.

Holy Fuck Batman, Vinnie a UFA. Would MB dare make a play? I'm willing to bet there will at least be a call to his agent. If the unthinkable happens and Vinnie becomes a Hab, bye bye DDD. Thanks for coming out.

Dunno if Vinnie wants to come to The Pressure Cooker. Tampa has beaches and bikini babes and nobody gives a flying fuck...
Dunno. Lets see what DGMB gots up his sleeve. Cause as far as coming home to The Bell Province, this should be a no brainer. I think it's DGMB's deal to lose.

What Pressure Cooker? Vinnie would have the french red carpet rolled out for him and the french media would be his slaves. The only Hab currently under any pressure is the goalie. The one who currently can't stop a beach ball. I'm hoping against hope that MB can snag Fucale somehow.

  67. Oh and btw, before the Star Trek SF post disappears, I realized I never gave my top 5 eps. Voila:

    1. City on the Edge of Forever (no contest, Joan Collins kills, great story)
    2. Mirror, Mirror (evil Spock rules)
    3. The Enterprise Incident (mmm, Romulan commander, and great tension and action)
    4. Patterns of Force (Nazi ep, kinda silly but I like it))
    5. Naked Time ("drunk" episode, very tense and well done)

Honourable mention: Piece of the Action. High comedy between Spock and Kirk, especially re driving

I like those episodes too 29, also the one about the Roman empire was cool as well.

    2. Patterns of force yes that was a good one, very similar to the one where the prime directive is broken and natives are getting flintlocks.

Mirror Mirror, I want one of those disappear people devices, only for good, only for good, well maybe a little fun as well.

  68. Kudos to 29 and the nerdlings. Fun post. I'm a nerd but a tech mostly nerd but our affections for the female form travels across all universes.

As some have mentioned, Vincent gets at minimum a call. I would enjoy to see him in a Habs jersey but at a decent price. $2m per tops. LSF©.

I think Vinny will be getting more than $2m. The stupid fucking leaf would double that in a heartbeat just to fuck the Habs over. It would be overpaying but 2 years at $5m per would be acceptable. That takes him to 35 and AG94 would be sufficiently trained to play center.

Because of these compliance buyouts and the UFA market being flooded I think there will be a lot of movement in the trade market to make space for some of these guys. For example I could see PleXXX getting traded to make room foe Vinny. Tampa will need a second line center behind Stamkos. It's going to be a wild weekend and leading up to July 5th.

    2. Either Vinnie comes for the experience and in that case he will want 3 to 4 per year, and likely just a year. Or he goes for the money and a four or five year deal in the five six

Read the rags and Jean Beliveau comes up

There will never, ever, be a classier gentleman. Impossible. In life, sport, representing the best we can be, few if any come close.

  72. Vinny's not coming to Montreal. Just read the Toronto papers, he's on his way to leafland. Along with Letang. I'm not even making this up, check out the Toronto Star if you dare.

The funny thing about Tranna rags is that their sports writers (hack, cough, another blue&white hairball) all realize they will die before the(ir) leaf ever wins anything, ever, again. These fuckwads invent shit like there's no tomorrow (see what I did there?). Fuck em all.

  74. On the IGA English is not to be spoken (bespoken) here issue thingy, I've been there kids. Approx. 7-8 years ago, I supermarketed there, came to the cash with a 'friend' beside me and proceeded to unload my wares for purchase (soft CHeeses, paté, CHiabatta, an Allo Police! (for my Dad), a mix of olives in olive oil, CHocolate sauce and a paintbrush). Whilst waiting for the tally, I spoke Anglais with my 'amie'. Upon turning my attention to the clerk, I kept speaking in not-French. Mon erreur. Zut. Alors. Quoi. Faire? Lets just say the plains of Abraham were less sanguine.

Tip to super marCHé staff, let people speak and STFU!

I have no clue what will happen between now and Sunday but Marc Bergevin should be a player. He's got a mitt full of good draft picks and $9mil in cap space plus some good prospects (Kristo) who may not want to play in Montreal. I expect some action baby.
