    Excellent!

I saw Bobby Orr play, a shadow of his former self with the Blachawks in the Moncton Coliseum way back in 1978. An exhibition game between Chicago and the wretched leaf. He only played on power plays and retired shortly after the regular season began.

Should be a fun - Twenty Cent vs. Rat Boy.

In other news my Sea Dogs drafted Broon Adam McQuaid's cousin Alex McQuaid yesterday in the QMJHL draft, not sure how I feel about that. I hope he is as mean and nasty as his cousin.

    1. What round was drafted in? I am sure he will be a good player for you.

We had the misfortune of "King Rat" Brad Marchand playing on the Mooseheads for half of a season. He was suspended for a couple of games in the first period of his first home game. Waste of a roster spot.

It gets worse, he sat in our section during his suspension and while I was up getting a beer, Mrs. soperman goes and gets him to autograph her Mooseheads jersey. Oh, the shame.

    Well ya.
We are USA, we will fuck with whatever we want to fuck with.
And everybody can just go and piss off.
If I read this right, this is the NSA sending a letter, just a fucking letter, to a company in another country, and, that company has to do what they are told .... by the NSA.
This is so seriously fuck up I can't ever fathom the possible permutations.
OMG Merica! Biggest bully on the planet. I had hopes for Bama, but guess not.
They all turn out the same once in office.

  5. My message to my hockey pool group.

It may be some time before a winner is declared. Allegedly Mr. Jacobs could have connections with Booz and Co, there is no evidence he blackmailed Penguins players into throwing the series. However is there any other logical explanation? The Penguins must have been declared Enemies of the State. Therefore any victory by Boston will forever be tainted.(as all their cups have been), and inevitably be decided by the Supreme Court And if you think about it, there now is an explanation for the Kessel and Rask trades.

I do not even want to mention what its alleged Mr. Harper had on Carey Price.

Go Hawks Go, its Gene Hackman vs John Voigt.

Cuz I'm sum kinda idjut, I posted this in an old thread a little while back. If you've seen it already and ignored it, do so again. Since hockey's over, I'm focussing on draft related material for a bit. Here's something totally useless if not a bit interesting.

Habs GM BurgerVan played more games than any other 59th overall pick at 1191 games.

Harold Snepts is the only other to crack the 1000 mark at 1033.

Billy Smith played the most for a goalie at 680 games.
Did you know Smith was drafted by the 2012 champion LA Kings. He played 5 games for them in 71-72 before the Isles snagged him in the expansion draft (a la Voukoun). It's all right, the Kings got this guy named Vachon (who was unhappy about losing his status to this kid named Dryden) from the Habs for a song, so it worked out for them....Smith mind you went on to play 17 seasons and win 4 cups, so there's that.

It's probably a local thing in NB, we used to call the Ah Caramel things Vachon Cakes. Even though on the edge of the Acadian section of the province, we weren't very (i.e. not at all) french. So we also called the logs Billet Logs and pass some of that Old Fort Cheese...

  8. No matter what happens, no matter what struggle is lost, no matter what liberity is violated in the name of security. I will hold my head high, very very high at times, in the knowledge, that I know, that the FHF members know, the Broons cup was tainted, is if it happens tainted, and until I see the report of a royal commission will be forever tainted. Based upon this opinion I hate to say the commissions came up with the conclusion for the 2013 Stanley Cup the awarded winner should be the leaf. Oh the horror of bringing in justice to prevent injustice.

  9. All kinds of rumours that PFK is the Norris winner

  10. Rumor has it PFK has won the Norris (!!!), so said Brian Wilde on CTV news a few minutes ago. Official announcement could be as soon as Wednesday. W00t!

Man, seeing the Bruins raise the Cup once in my lifetime was already one time too many. Don't think I can handle another.

I have heard they set the spy cameras for the prone position, so lying down may throw them off for a few hours. See you can justify just about any position.

  13. PK should turn to the TV, produce the largest grin ever, and thank PJ Stock in his Norris acceptance speech.

Maybe even hire PJ to drive him to the tv special.

Hey, you know, the same shit the mediots say when the Habs face the Bruins only to have the Habs WIPE THE FLOOR WITH THOSE SHITHEADS? I'm hearing the same in reference to the Hawks vs Bruins. Also holy fuck all the Bruins bandwangon jumpers come out from under the rocks or what? THIS IS MONTREAL. FUCK YOU.

  16. The question of the month is: Does DGMB trade PFK for the Druid and a prospect? I think it all comes down to what kind of Montreal discount PFK will accept. I do not see him getting more than 7 for 6.

    1. the Maritimer11:53 AM

Steve, it's not good PR to trade away a Norris trophy winning defenceman. PK will get what Karlsson got in Ottawa. Don't fret about it, Molson has lots of cash.

Drouin will no doubt be good, but Jones or MacKinnon will be better. I would take MacKinnon in a heartbeat.

My guess is MB stands pat with his picks and loads up on big bodies and and a goalie. There will also be lots of pickings among UFA compliance buyouts and teams trying to get under the new cap to tweak his lineup. This off season has the makings to be more fun than usual.

  20. Who will the Canadiens’ Brendan Gallagher be cheering for in the Stanley Cup final?

“I don’t want to see Boston win,” Gallagher told Elliott Pap of Postmedia News.

Gallagher, who works out with the Bruins’ Milan Lucic during the offseason, added that the reason he’d rather see the Chicago Blackhawks win the Cup has to do with the bitter Boston-Montreal rivalry.

“I mean, I’m happy for Lootch and I’m glad he’s doing well,” Gallagher said. “But I just don’t want to see Boston win.”

Could I love the kid even more now?

WTF? The Philthy's are way over the cap as is. Sounds like a compliance buy out for somebody coming up. Funny, at 5-11 and 191 lbs, Streit sounds too small to be a phucktard plus he is Swiss cheese soft. Maybe they would take Diazling for Hartnell to have a matching set.

  22. Now please don't take this the wrong way, but as much as I hate the Bruins team I don't begrudge the city of Boston another cup. After that horrific bombing and the little boy that was killed who was a big Bruin's fan, it's not the worst thing that could happen. Just sayin.

And the asshat leaf fan holding up the Toronto Strong fan was shameful. Karma bit the leaf right in the ass for that one.

  25. I gotta weigh in on the Rollie the Goalie quotes. Does the situation fit the quote, or does the quote fit the situation?
I can never remember TFS not letting in a soft goal way to often. So in this case the quote fits the situation.
