Hey guys, l'harceleur (Lars Eller) is "the stalker" in english. That'd be a good nickname for Lego no?
    Lego the stalker. Cheers

Watch out for Calgary, this could be a sucker's match. Don't be over confident Habs. Remember, Rammo was in the system once, he may have a point to prove. Was he part of the RBQ trade?

    Eggcellent GDT moeman!

Yes Maritimer, I believe Ramo was part of the Bourque trade. Not to worry though, also included was a 2nd round pick in this year's draft, who just happens to be another goalie - Zach Fucale. I'd say - good deal. Excellent deal if Holland turns out to be a decent prospect. And I think he may turn into a great 3rd line winger.

I'm sure Fucale will prove to be an excellent acquisition in the Squid deal.

I really liked the Squid signing at the time. Gainey just went after too much of the same thing with Gio and the Mexican't. That whole year when Squid got traded was a giant clusterfuck. They'll be years recovering.

      Eggcellent trade for our Habs.

    5. Kinda easy peasy. Did Jamie Oliver's turkey thing and added some chopped roasted duck from a previous roasting of duck.

    2. No, unfortunately we are the French Canadian because apparently that's more important than winning games.

      Delete
    3. For certain media types yes, but if that's Bergevin's MO (I refuse to believe that) we just might as well quit being Hab fans right now.

      Delete
    4. If it's not important to Bergevin, then why are we stuck with the dead weight of DDD and Briere?

      Delete
    5. And almost Lecavalier?

      Delete
    6. Vinnie has some gas left in the tank. Briere is filling the hole Ryder left. DDD was great in his first year with Max, it's a crapshoot, you win some you lose some.

  37. Habs had very little interest in winning this game, could have been theirs otherwise.

    ReplyDelete
  38. How many actual good minutes of Habs hockey played? Not muCH.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I do think the Canadiens should be recognized by the league for boosting the confidence of so many nobody AHL goaltenders this last decade. Very considerate.

    ReplyDelete
  40. on the plus side TFS had another good if not great game, and Little DDD was half decent as well, You know why he wears 51? Its his height in cm.

  41. goood one from ETOP
Lars Eller extended his point streak, and scored his 4th goal of the year. I, for one, welcome our new Danish overlord. Maybe we should call it the Scooby Doo line? Because I see two kids and a Great Dane on the ice. Once again they were the best line for the Habs, and generated the vast majority of the offense.

This west coast swing might bury them early. Watched the first two periods, I've seen fewer floaters on a mill pond. I said way up top this was a sucker's game, the Habs thought they had it won in the warm up.

I wish they had a goalie as good as Joey MacDonald, a good maritime lad. That guy was focused last night. Price not so much. Probably a Budaj call tonight, they have a chance.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Chester10:42 AM

Love the Scooby Doo line. It's a keeper.
We need a Dman. Frankie and Diazelnot are on one game off another, and Vodkov is just old. When is Yemmie due back?
    We need somebody.
    Go Habs

They'd be better off playing Beaulieu and Nygren than Cube and Swiss Mister IV or whatever. On the job training for the young guys and take your lottery pick.

Joey MacDonald was 12/12 in the first period. Price was 3/5. Markov had MacDonald dead to rights in the second period on a PP....twice. MacDonald won.....twice.

      Delete
    2. Chester2:55 PM

Vodkov has been doing his, I'm sneaking in from the point and you can't see me thing, for so many years now it should be referred to as doing The Markov. JM was ready. I agree with Beaulieu and Nygren. Just play the young guys. At least they have heart and the legs to keep up. Fingers crossed about Josh. With Josh, Vodkov and PFK we can pack an oldie with a newbie and pray to Allah.
      Go Habs
