There is a blockbuster deal in the works. To Montreal the Nail and a first, to the oil, Biere, DDD, Diaz, Dr Drew, LeBrow, and a bag of pucks.

That's too funny Steve. All the Habs crap for the Nail and a first? C'mon man, you can do better than that.

    2. There is no trade for Montreal and the Nail, Way to risky and Oilers would want at least SuperPlexxx a draft pick and a top prospect. But I can always hope

  2. What's the NHL record for the highest-paid 4th line player? Do we win now?

    2. Ya...but...to make way for this astute move, MT2 has to drop Blanche...Don't know...

Spent the weekend in leaf land. Leaf blowers were smug but easily startled. Good to see that confusion between planning the parade and getting prepared to jump off the bus .... it was interesting. Cheese Man on the 4th. Maybe we could trade him, Slather owes us one ... We'll take Tavaris and a first rounder.
    Go Habs

  4. Was hoping to attend the game tonight, but my cheap boss won't give up any tickets! May be just as well... the last 2 times I've seen them live, we lost 4-0 both times...

  5. I think the old bat (me).can manage the whole game tonight with an 8:00 start. Want to see more of that all world goalie that bore an uncanny resemblance to Carey Price.

Habs don't really need to make a trade at the moment. Fried-Man reported Saturday night Bergevin was looking around for a D but decided that TinTin and N8 would fill the bill for now. I think the only thing the team has to do is divest themselves of DDD, whether to the press box or to the Swiss elite league. Simple addition by subtraction. I'd put Briere between RBQ and CHarger and reinstate BlanCHe on the 4th line which was outstanding in Vancouver.

Is DDD Therrien's love child or something? Anyway, if Davey keeps playing the way he has he will be gone soon regardless of what the francophone quota is.

Oh, and they don't need the Yak, another too small winger. There's lots of them in the system already.

  9. Somewhat interesting discussion about Bobby Orr suggesting that racist scumbag don cherry find his way to the HHoF. cherry has no place in the HHoF but then again the sick as fuck national organ known as cbchnic has provided that xenophobic bigot a platform to cater to the yahoos (mostly his friends in leafland).

  10. I am old enough to remember when all Habs games started at 8 PM Eastern. So I should be able to stay awake for this. Maybe.

GYFHG. 4-2 after an early season West Coast trip would be just fine, thankyouverymuch

Finally, a game I get to watch!

  42. So Peeleaffan is warning Carey? What's he supposed to do, allow himself to get run over? Then he'd just get a diving penalty.

  43. Caught a bit of 24CH and the Lac Mégantic day with the Habs. Very emotional, heartfelt and worthy of all there, players, coaches, execs and most importantly the locals. The bit of good it did is priceless.

    1. The mere mention of Lac Megantic gives me the heebie jeebies, but that's another story for another time. God love them, what a tragedy, they deserved a little ray of happiness.

  63. Winnipeg has a fucking good team. And that Trouba may be the best d if not player out of a stacked draft.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Decent win. Price was fucking stellar and then some.

Four good wins vs 2 really shitty 1 goal losses. Take it.

    Enjoy Hump Day FHFers.

  69. Should Don Cherry be in the hall of fame? He can be a total asshole, his connections with the government of Mr Steve Harper repel me. His reflex anti skill rants are counterproductive. However, he represents a curated view of hockey from the sixties. I do not think Cherry was anything but genuine. Now he is a seventy year old performer. But he represents hockeys past.In an institution that has Bass Master and Dino flash, he must be included.

The family is starting to waver on the no cable issue at the Saint household after 4 months. I gotta admit the streaming ain't cutting it for hockey or football. Just can't get the quality and after living with HD for the past 5 years, it's really tough. Anything else we want to watch, we can download, but Mrs Saint and the missy saints are missing their diy's and food channels. And damnit the Walking Dead Sundays at 10 was daughter 2 and my thing to do together. It's hard. Bell is giving away PS4's on Saturday if we sign up. I'm getting the hard sell from all corners. Not looking like I'll be able to hold out much longer.

  75. Who won the Jaro trade?
As Ho Chi Min said when asked about the impact of the French Revolution "to soon to tell" It is clear that the goat deserves some props, and the trend is a big win for Habs.
