I love Abe Vigoda - what a master thespian! Hey the UK rolls back the clocks tonight so if the Habs shit the bed in the second period maybe I could ask for a do over. A bit Marty Mcflyish of me but let's see how it goes...Go Habs Go!!
Now they're talking about what a fine young man PK is and how he's just going to get better and better. Seriously, it's like the complete opposite of CBC.
So if I've got this right, it's ok to pin players on the ice and also, throwing picks when the puck is dumped in is now OK...if you have a white sweater on at least. Just making sure I've got this right.
*yes I've transformed my name to a nic I had as a kid (born on St Paddy's Day) - The Saint
Oh yeah, so I'm streaming CBC to my tv - a bit choppy at times and kinda low def but not terrible. So I'm pretty sure that Bob Cold and me are watching different games at times. Wow. 80 is a nice age to retire Bob. Holy frig.
I'm streaming as well but just to my laptop, I can connect to my TV but found it a little choppy. My laptop is a 17" and the picture is HD so it's pretty good. Got the leaf/Pens game on the TV in the background.
Streaming is a bit like fight club. First rule of streaming is that you don't talk about streaming when you are doing it - sure way to stray it lagging like a bitch...so I won't
No chance the habs are allowed to win this game. That said, considering their roster, I'm surprised and impressed how they're doing except for that 1st 10 minutes of the 2nd. Cold said "Desjardin missed a great opportunity" about the DDD chance off the back board. I'd still take Eric back in DDD's place.
The Shark announcers, who have been pretty good so far (at least better than HNIC), on that tackle at the blue line "The refs know that you just have to let those battles happen!" Yeah, tell that to Cube.
Funny how the Sharks or those other southern type teams have no problem bringing up a young defenceman or two and let them play regardless. But the Habs, oh no, can't have rookies playing and making mistakes, they'll be ruined. The Habs need size on the backend and have it in Tinordi and Pateryn but insist on small 38 year old Cube and marshmallow soft swiss mister III Diaz. Keep losing dumb asses.
No one would talk about it anyway. Ask any hockey fan, they'll tell you how fucked up the refs are (across the league), yet no one in the league or media ever says a word. If you do, you're punished.
There is a 15 foot circle in front of the Shark net that no Hab has touched all night. Even if we got a bounce like they did, no one would be there to pot it.
Habs over matched against this team. Other than that brief flurry late in the second they've hardly threatened Niemi. I think they were fortunate to get two points against a flat, probably jet-lagged Ducks team.
The Habs just don't look good. But fuckin MT 2 needs to be shouting and lighting a fire under someone..he just looks bored. The Habs are going to be shut out btw
The positives: 2-0, but one on a bad bounce off the boards (and another on a possible offside and illegal knee-on-knee hit). Lots of injuries, terrible refs. Price looked good.
There's something wrong with PK, though. He's not looking his normal self. Vodkov fumbled another easy pass at the blue line, I've seen that in the dying minutes many many times recently. DDD had too much ice time, in that he had any ice time at all. Gkid is made of steel. Hope Moen is okay.
The refs didn't lose this game for the Habs, but it is interesting that once it was 2-0 they stopped calling what they called in the first 2 periods. Your league will never be taken seriously if a penalty in the 1st period is a hockey play in the 3rd. Of course, your league will never be taken seriously when attempted murder is considered a hockey play.
Allow me minute here...I am taking exception to MT2. I have never been more uninspired by a Habs coach than I am with MT2 right now...except maybe Chocula...but I digress...he looked resigned to losing from the time I tuned in (end of 1st). He had his coaching ass handed to him by whoever it is tha coaches the sharks as well as by Larry Robinson, who is the person the Habs should have broken the fucking bank to convince to join the coaching squad years ago. Mt2 is becoming more and more useless. He plays his best players less and less and sticks with the fuckin useless French midgets because that way no one gives him shit when the Habs lose. Tonight's game was a complete fuckin embarrassment and he should be ripping strips off of the entire team...but he won't. He will say some bullshit about it being a bad bounce and
Logan Couture was drafted 9th overall in 2007. You know what we needed tonight was a stud defenceman to defend against him. Too bad we didn't draft one 12th overall that same year.
Just about what I said earlier about every fan knowing the officiating if fucked in this league, but the media refusing to talk about it: 690am right now denies the refs did anything wrong tonight right at the top of their show. Say anything about it, you're cut off from access. This league is pathetic.
Orange, yeah the refs suck for the most part but that's not why Montreal lost tonight. San Jose owned them for the most part and the Habs had very little second effort tonight. Other than that flurry late in the second, they were one and done all night. Price kept them in it, he only gave up one, can't ask for much more than that. Nope, Montreal got beat by a better team tonight.
KmaXXX caught something I noticed as well, Therrien is useless. I can't stand seeing that blank expression on his face... so Chokula-like.
The last time the Habs got shut out at home was, like tonight, game #11 of the season last year (also a Sat night game). Remember that? 6-0 vs the leaf? And then they tore it up for the next month or two. History repeats?
Lou Reed is a legend. Perfect Day is my noraebang (private karaoke in Korea) song. #7777. I don't want to get weird but I had a dream on Friday night that Lou Reed died and was going to say something here during the Shark game until I realize it was just a dream.
Just want to also add that it's been over 24 hours since the leaf beat the Pens and many more games have transpired in that time, not to mention the Vanek trade. Yet TSN still has Kadri making out with Reimer on their front page. We get it, the parade will be on Wednesday at noon.
The Vanek trade proves Garth Snow is a traveler from another dimension. This is the kind of trade you make if you are the manager of the leaf, your job is on the line if you miss the playoffs or you are one player away from the cup.
I must apologize, probably for the first time ever I commented without knowing all the facts. Vanek is a free agent at the end of the season and has made it known he wants to go to the wild. Wow Mr Snow, you make people happy.
Very creative, nicely done moe! GYFHG!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMerci Moey. I'm no Golden Girl but its all fun.
DeleteGYGHG
ReplyDeleteInteresting to see how gCHuck compares to Hurtzel. Number 3 overall vs number 12.
I love Abe Vigoda - what a master thespian! Hey the UK rolls back the clocks tonight so if the Habs shit the bed in the second period maybe I could ask for a do over. A bit Marty Mcflyish of me but let's see how it goes...Go Habs Go!!
ReplyDeleteR.I.P. Marcia Wallace.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Krabapple will be missed.
DeleteCrosby has 40 points in 25 games against the leaf. Heh. Go you Pens go! Go Sid!
ReplyDeletebut, but, but wendellclarkson! will save the leaf.
DeleteOh yes and his return has been hugely anticipated! The leaf franchise savior. *snort*
Deletecockroaches spent the day with this leaf? Why? Petrillo is just another sick fuck.
DeleteGO HABS GO!
ReplyDeleteGYMFHG!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGYFHG!!!
ReplyDeleteheh, where's the diving penalty?
ReplyDeleteWatching the Sharks feed. The guys just mentioned how odd it was that they only got one PP in Boston. Yeah...welcome to our world.
ReplyDeleteNow they're talking about dangerous hits by the broons, and how the refs could have possibly missed them......yeah...I know that feel.
ReplyDeleteNow they're talking about what a fine young man PK is and how he's just going to get better and better. Seriously, it's like the complete opposite of CBC.
ReplyDelete1-0 PIT
ReplyDeleteMT2, FFS, quit swearing to yourself and swear at the fucking refs.
ReplyDeleteBoys ain't looking too bad tonight.
ReplyDeleteleaf score. Plan the parade.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look like they are going to get anything by Niemi. Price better be perfect for at least 60 minutes to get at least a point.
ReplyDeleteSo if I've got this right, it's ok to pin players on the ice and also, throwing picks when the puck is dumped in is now OK...if you have a white sweater on at least. Just making sure I've got this right.
ReplyDelete*yes I've transformed my name to a nic I had as a kid (born on St Paddy's Day) - The Saint
leaf gooning it up. Belinda C. is a fucking idiot.
ReplyDelete29 must have scored free tickets. Again. Lucky duck.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, so I'm streaming CBC to my tv - a bit choppy at times and kinda low def but not terrible. So I'm pretty sure that Bob Cold and me are watching different games at times. Wow. 80 is a nice age to retire Bob. Holy frig.
ReplyDeletehttp://atdhe.xxx/hockey/watch-montreal-canadiens-san-jose-sharks-49fj0
DeleteIf you're interested, it's the Sharks feed but it's good. Like, in quality and in professionalism (not often found in US broadcasts).
Decent period.
ReplyDeleteCherry shows the leaf scoring and says "we" score. Way to show your bias CBC.
ReplyDeleteHey! What'd I miss?
ReplyDeleteA scoreless first period.
DeleteGo Habs go!,,
ReplyDeleteI'm streaming as well but just to my laptop, I can connect to my TV but found it a little choppy. My laptop is a 17" and the picture is HD so it's pretty good. Got the leaf/Pens game on the TV in the background.
ReplyDeleteStreaming is a bit like fight club. First rule of streaming is that you don't talk about streaming when you are doing it - sure way to stray it lagging like a bitch...so I won't
DeleteJust one of those games, the refs have already made up their minds.
ReplyDeleteNice illegal knee-on-knee hit leads to a goal.
ReplyDeleteOn a non-penalty to begin with. Refs have made their minds up.
DeleteThis isn't beantown.
ReplyDeleteRemind me again...DDD plays because he' s French...any other reason?
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see DDD on the ice I just think of Mean Girls. "Stop trying to make DDD happen! It's not going to happen!"
DeleteSharks guys have Boyle in their booth. They just asked him, "Can you feel it on the ice when things are going your way?" "Uh, yeah we can". Yup.
ReplyDeleteRemind me again...Bouillion plays because he's French...any other reason?
ReplyDeleteNice play by play by a little kid on rods...cute!
ReplyDeleteSo the Habs pressure, Sharks get away with murder and then the refs call one on the Habs. This league is shameless.
ReplyDeleteUm, MT2, show some fucking emotion. Your team is being shafted FFS.
ReplyDeleteHe's channeling fucking CHocula!
DeleteMan talk about a ref injecting himself into a game where he's not needed...
ReplyDeleteHaha, they show the "Penalty" and say that you can't put your hands on other players, then they show the Shark guy shove Cube down with his hands.
ReplyDeleteNice sack by the Sharks!
ReplyDeleteNice one Carey!
ReplyDeleteTo think the Habs revenue-sharing Cheque pays to keeps these fucking bettman ref-sucked teams in the league.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, I think SJ does pretty well on their own. But yes, they are part of Bettman's "Southern Project".
DeleteAgreed. Been to a game in SJ. Full house (vs. EDM). Lots of ex-pats.
DeleteNo chance the habs are allowed to win this game. That said, considering their roster, I'm surprised and impressed how they're doing except for that 1st 10 minutes of the 2nd. Cold said "Desjardin missed a great opportunity" about the DDD chance off the back board. I'd still take Eric back in DDD's place.
ReplyDeleteI caught that slip as well. Ol' Bob Cold was back in '93 for a minute there. It's a wonder he even knows where he is or what day it is.
DeleteThe Shark announcers, who have been pretty good so far (at least better than HNIC), on that tackle at the blue line "The refs know that you just have to let those battles happen!" Yeah, tell that to Cube.
ReplyDeleteNot a great period. Terrible pp but a couple of good kills. Someone remind me why Bouillion is playing again?
ReplyDelete(Y) is out.
Deleteone of Therrien's faves. Want to know who the other one is.
DeleteFunny how the Sharks or those other southern type teams have no problem bringing up a young defenceman or two and let them play regardless.
ReplyDeleteJust went back in time...only 4 hours difference between Montreal and London ...for a week at least. Can I get a do over for the period as we'll?
ReplyDeleteI will just have to be satisfied with drinking that last Stella all over again!
ReplyDeleteYes but is Mrs. KmaXXX satisfied ...
DeleteThat would be telling...
DeleteG Y F H G !
ReplyDeleteI just saw a Disney commercial. I can't believe they're subjecting Lord Vader to the horror show that is Disneyland.
ReplyDeleteDid they make him Goofy's father?
DeleteHeh. Love it!
DeleteSharkbit.
ReplyDeleteOh fuck
ReplyDeleteOk, so that sucked. But Price was in absolutely no rush to get back into position after he saw that bounce.
ReplyDeleteThat's about right. Um...go Pens.
ReplyDeleteSadly this takes the lens off of the fucked up refs.
ReplyDeleteNo one would talk about it anyway. Ask any hockey fan, they'll tell you how fucked up the refs are (across the league), yet no one in the league or media ever says a word. If you do, you're punished.
DeleteCan't take seeing Big Bird behind the SJ bench.
ReplyDelete2-1 leaf
ReplyDeleteThere is a 15 foot circle in front of the Shark net that no Hab has touched all night. Even if we got a bounce like they did, no one would be there to pot it.
ReplyDeleteHabs over matched against this team. Other than that brief flurry late in the second they've hardly threatened Niemi. I think they were fortunate to get two points against a flat, probably jet-lagged Ducks team.
ReplyDeleteI missed that. did Moen eat a puck?
ReplyDeleteNot good..should be a 5 minute major...but it won't be
ReplyDeleteIt was the puck.
DeleteFFS.
ReplyDeleteWhat a warrior, though, has to be convinced to leave the bench. Open season for the Sharks.
Gkid back out there. Love that little guy!
ReplyDeleteOne has to wonder when these four officials sit down and strip down to their jocks and discuss how they fucked up another game and then pass the soap.
ReplyDeleteGally wants us all to know that he lost his footing, the Shark did nothing wrong. He lost his footing...then embarrassed the trainer apparently.
ReplyDeleteGary Gally that is.
Deletegalley is a career Habs hater. One of the reasons the cockroaches hired him to do Habs games no less. Sick fucks.
DeleteThe Habs just don't look good. But fuckin MT 2 needs to be shouting and lighting a fire under someone..he just looks bored. The Habs are going to be shut out btw
ReplyDeleteWell, that was a pathetic last 2 minutes.
ReplyDeleteWon't matter as Sharks always find a way to lose in the first round of the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteHey aside from Vodkov once again failing to keep it in late in the game what did I miss;
ReplyDeleteI am afraid to say it but that was a fucking proper schooling the Habs just had. Let's hope they learned something
ReplyDelete+1
Delete+2. Baby steps...
Deleteand leaf beat the pens. stay away from tsn
ReplyDelete2 minutes left. prove me wrong Sid
DeleteWhile being incredibly outshot yet again.
DeleteThe positives: 2-0, but one on a bad bounce off the boards (and another on a possible offside and illegal knee-on-knee hit). Lots of injuries, terrible refs. Price looked good.

If it's any consolation to us, no matter how good the Sharks were tonight, they'll be out after 6 games into the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteAgree with KmaXXX....Habs got schooled tonight.
ReplyDeleteMoe, the Sharks might be playoff flops but we can't say too much other. Much work to be done by Mssr. Bergevin.
Where are Moey, 29, iRiRi.....?
other = "either"
DeleteThe refs didn't lose this game for the Habs, but it is interesting that once it was 2-0 they stopped calling what they called in the first 2 periods. ReplyDeleteGoing to see Gravity later today. Anyone here seen it yet? Looks pretty good, though I'm skeptical due to Sandra Bolluck's involvement.
ReplyDeleteDevils score 2 in last 1:08 to beat the broons. Today is not all lost!
ReplyDeleteThere is a hockey god! 2 in 23 seconds. HA, FUCK YOU BROONS! Shades of Game 6.
DeleteJames Reimer is once again the anointed one. Until he loses again.
ReplyDeleteAllow me minute here...I am taking exception to MT2. I have never been more uninspired by a Habs coach than I am with MT2 right now...except maybe Chocula...but I digress...he looked resigned to losing from the time I tuned in (end of 1st). I'm with you guys. Sick of that blank 'I don't give a shit' look. Wait til we see the contrast next week against Pat Roy.
DeleteYup, like I said above the refs didn't lose this game. And it's not just against MTL.
DeleteNow even a Shark fan calls in and mentions the reffing, and 690 still denies it.
ReplyDeleteThat's me done...night all. Thanks Moeman !
ReplyDeleteBoone over at HIO points this out:
ReplyDeleteThe last time the Habs got shut out at home was, like tonight, game #11 of the season last year (also a Sat night game). Remember that? 6-0 vs the leaf? And then they tore it up for the next month or two. History repeats?
Highly doubtful.
