In the mornin FHFers goes gunnin'
For the man who stole PFKs boomer
And lines fire till DDDs on them
But they still catCH us here at Blogger
And the mourners are all singin'
As PatCHes drags with his flat feet
But Geoff’s hangman isn't hangin'
And they put zero on the sCHoresheet

CHorus:
You go back to Jacques do it again
Wheel turnin' 'round and 'round
You go back to Jacques do it again

When you know M’T2s no high climber
Then you find your only a DGMB friend
In a room with your MTwo timer
And you're sure you're near the end
Then you love a ROYal wild one
And he brings you only sorrow
All the time you know he's smilin'
You'll be on your knees tomorrow

CHorus:
You go back to Jacques do it again
Wheel turnin' 'round and 'round
You go back to Jacques do it again

Now we swear and kick and hide face
That Molsons not a DGamblin' man
Then you find you're back in last place
With a draft pick in your hand
Your full house can make you money
So you hide them when you're able
In Paree land of Montreal milk and honeys
You must put $10 on the table

  1. While I would never be in favour of packing it in and going for the lottery pick, I'm with the M in that if it takes a 7ish game losing streak to can Empty, so be it. This is not a playoff built team anyway.

  2. Great SF as usual Moeman. I have expanded more boundaries than the Nav system on the latest Range Rover.
This is a hockey bog and i would need a jockstrap that fitted from behind to make a serious comment. Just cause your wondering no coach ever gave it to me that way, in a physical sense, but I could have been a DDD if i spoke French.
Anyway just because I am so, so, so so. The Sopranos, something you should all Thinkaboot.

I guess MT2.0 spun that wheel he has with the players' names on it to create the lines - again.

  7. Habs nemesis The Juggler. Quite possibly a distant relative of The Riddler, with quotes such as "And we have Brendan Gallagher with (David) Desharnais, who is competing...", (competing for what, we're not quite sure), and “You’d be surprised how much we talk about offence..." (yes, yes we would), The Juggler is coming to a hockey arena near you to destroy your favourite storied franchise. The question is folks, will DGMB step up to be Habsville's Batman or turn a blind eye and remain blind as a bat towards his 'friend', The Juggler? Tune in two weeks from now, same FHF time, same FHF channel to find out! (and hey, it's the best i can do with MS Paint and my union mandated 15...22 minute break).

    The Juggler that's good.
I think MT2.0 should be thinking fundamentals, ie, making passes, taking the body, going to the net (not around it) ... you know, that hockey shit, rather than juggling thus implying that it's the players who haven't got their mellow on... is that sentence too long? Spark comes from having a fucking fire lit under you or you getting thrown into one. The only Hab who goes for the net is Gallager and if he keeps that up he will be dead within the year, the only Hab throwing his body around is Geo ... how's that for fucked up. Why isn't RBQ, Patches or Prust driving the fucking net? Why isn't a fucking fire being lit. Why is MT2.0 mixing and matching ? You don't have to have chemistry, just play some fucking hockey!
    Go Habs

I think Max got it right. They play like they are scared to lose. They are constantly back on their heels. Defence first. Pretty soon they will advance no further than the red line, dump the puck in and line up 5 at the blueline and let the opposition come at them. Play for the 0-0 tie and hope to win in a shootout. The only flaw in the plan is the forwards will lose all their goal scoring skills and not know what to do when they are skating in on the goalie. They will dump the puck in and peel back by habit.

I have one simple question for Marc Bergevin: Would a truly elite team have David Desharnais as a top 6 player?

eMpTy2.0 sure plays him like it. If DD continues to get more ice time than the other forwards then I know favoritism is the norm.

  34. Wow...I spent the day at work then straight home to paint a room and completely forgot about the game...and they score 6 fucking goals...Maybe I'm going to forget about them more often...Anyway, well done the Habs! Let's hope one big win against a weaker team doesn't allow everyone to lose sight of the fact that the Habs are still running on eMpTy and against a bigger, badder team, the scoreline might not have looked so nice.

And on another point, Moeman, I've been with you on the GYFHG blog ride since you rose from the ashes of 4HF stardom and this...

    1. Actually, the Wild are 8th in the West with 30pts but that would make them 1st in the East, 1pt above Boston, so I'd say not too shabby. Montreal 24pts, Washington 25pts and Pittsburgh 26pts. I'm not concerned about the laffs who have 27 it's a full season.

  35. Did we win?

    [/checks score]

    really?

I am actually in the heart of the beast - in a hotel in Downtown Toronto. I was enjoying a nice peaceful evening when at about 10 PM I heard hooting and hollering from my window. It was Leaf fans leaving the game after their win. My worst nightmare. My hotel is right next to Wayne Gretzky's restaurant - I was tempted to go in there and ask if they would turn the Habs game on.

I wouldn't get too excited about that victory. Up next is Ovie and the high scoring Caps and I expect Buddha to get thrown to the wolves there, then Sid and his posse the next night. Gonna be a tough weekend, 1 point would be good to salvage at minimum. Anything else is gravy.

I am glad however that someone finally lit a fire under Max's ass. Gallagher's enthusiasm is obviously contagious. More of that please and thank you.

  41. Of course, stuck at a workshop all day couldn't watch any of the game. Like KmaXXX, maybe I should do that more often. TSN and RDS wouldn't update the game via my phone. Kept giving me "gameday" reports. NHL.com showed the score, but wouldn't give any details. Naturally thinking the "6" next to the Habs was a typo, or perhaps their total shots, I had to go to ESPN to finally get more info. But don't worry, the leaf score was front and center on TSN. In fact, half the time I clicked on the Habs I was taken to the leaf boxscore which was fully uploaded. I was half expecting the site to cause my phone to grow android arms and do a lobotomy on me in an effort to make me a leaf fan.

    Tough weekend ahead. GYFHG!

  46. Kadri is a good fit for the laffs - classless. I hope they sign him long-term.

    Quote from the National post.

“I’ve never had an incident like that, where some of my hits have been questioned,” he said. “Normally, I’ll hit guys when they’re vulnerable, but I’ll make sure my arms are down, and my shoulders are down.”

  49. Watching the last few minutes of the leaf game because I enjoy watching them lose. Haven't seen much of them this year because I'm not much of a masochist. But they look terrible. Of course they're trying to goon it up in the last 4 minutes of an out of reach game.

    2. Oh fuck, it was that little fuckity fuck Kadri. Now we'll hear about his amazing hockey abilities and Hart Trophy like play because he dump in a floater from the blue line and a Pred deflected it in by accident.

    3. My god, the Preds missed the empty net TWICE with 2 on 0's. Then Fisher missed it completely all alone in front. No luckier team, I swear.
