    1. I think you've brought up a good point and why some of the players do seem to quit sometimes. What's the point of playing hard if DD is going to get your ice time regardless. Besides millions of dollars in salary and self-respect, anyway.

  76. So I went to bed after the second period...didn't have a good feeling and unfortunately I was proved right. Reading the headlines this morning I come across this little gem from eMpTy2...Some boos rained down on the Canadiens during their 2-1 loss to the Florida Panthers at the Bell Centre, but coach Michel Therrien cut his team some slack afterward. “We played 11 games in less than three weeks,” Therrien said.

So WTF happend to "No Excuses"...? That sounds like an excuse to me. They play hockey for a living - they can't be tired during the games. If they are, then maybe someone should be running fewer practices during stretches where they play a dozen games in 15 nights (or whatever the mix currently is) When Motorhead did "No Sleep 'till Hammersmith", that's what happened. They didn't stop off halfway through a run of concerts to catch some Z's. No Excuses mutherfuckers! Enough of this weak ass shit. Get back to playing they way you were 2 weeks ago.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. They surely aren't practicing passing plays or how to get into the opponent's zone.

      Delete
    2. or how to get a shot off, jeez they passed or where checked a hundred times

      Delete
  77. the Maritimer8:29 AM

I don't expect them to win every game. No doubt they were out of gas yesterday but eMpTy2.0 needs to look in a mirror. He fucked up. Anybody notice who has scored the only goals in regulation the last 3 games? Anybody notice who still had some jump in his soon to be 20 year old legs? Anybody notice who doesn't get knocked on his ass every shift? Hellloooo.....MT, that would be AG27, your most skilled, talented but perhaps not the most experienced player on your weak ass midget filled roster. With a 5 on 3 you can't take a chance on the kid who just scored a few minutes ago. Then, to top it off, you nail your 4th line to the bench the whole third period and run your other troops into the ice. Yeah, that sure was some top notch strategy, MT. WTF is Desharnais your love child or something? You didn't give your team a chance to win. This loss is on you.

Even snakebit Lego was a better option than DD and his bum buddy at the end with the goalie pulled.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If the coaching staff knew the team was gassed, why not call up a few fresher bodies from Hamilton?

      Delete
    2. Have to agree about MT. Never liked his hiring and even less so with his treatment of PK.. Someone here referred to him as the 'juggler' and that is very fitting. Why change lines that are working just to give DDD a jump? It goes back a couple of years where Lego was held back to afford DDD every opportunity. When the Eller line consisted of Gallagher and Galchenyk all 3 were productive and scoring. Put them back together and if DDD fails, so be it.

@KaXXX No Excuses are practiced by Therrien only when it suits him. It is convenient now to say the guys are tired, they're only human etc. and he previously mention injuries. He uses the excuses to deflect from his own deficiences.

      GHG!

      Delete
    3. the Maritimer9:05 AM

@moe, not that easy, cap and waiver issues discourage bouncing back and forth plus, probably travel logistics as well. Nope, MT made bad personnel decisions yesterday.

Hey look!! The little fuckity fuck is in town tomorrow! That should be worth a game preview headline.

  83. I am an a extremely strong advocate, like a lawyer who can bench press 300lbs, of Pure Laine players playing for les Habitats.
Vampire Dan and Lovechild are making a mockery of Elan. If they remade Beau Jest with these two, they would have self circumcised and joined the Berbers during the climax. Like a good Cheese we should say, no Pure Wool will be pulled to play on the PP or PK unless they really make the grade. You ever go to the Casino, the manufactured excitement the chance of winning, well that what hockey has become, its roulette and we are the suckers playing the game. Still we are more genuine than baseball. However when I look at Big James and Miami I gotta give him and his posse some dues, they collectively said we can live with half a billion instead of a billion just to win, now that integrity. So I am calling out all you little and big French fucks who can play the game. Be nasty, fight in bars, do some meth ice cream, get your picture taken with hookers make yourself untouchable off the ice and never touch the puck on the ice. We need a a Dirty Dozen Donies comming off their entry contract that nobody wants. Bu nudge nudge wink wink they will all be playing soon in the worlds greatest rink. We bring back Big TiTs to clean them up to a certain degree. Then we play fire on meth cream ice.

    1. I've said it before, when you are consistently given all the breaks, it comes as a shock when you actually have to deal with the same consequences as everyone else. I'm pretty sure the league waited so long to hand out the suspension in hopes it would die down and they could get away with 5 games. Thorton has just proved how "sorry" he really is, and this is only going to draw more attention to it. I'm sure Bettman wants to lessen it for his buddy Jacobs, but is in a tough spot now. Not that the league has ever been too concerned about showing their corruption and favouritism.
