  1. Montreal Canadiens

    Short-Handed Situations on road: 42

    Goals: 3

    Percentage: 92.9%

    Rank: 1

The Canadiens are leading the league in both the penalty killing and power play categories on the road. No team has topped 90% efficiency overall in penalty killing in the salary cap era, but, on the road at least, the Canadiens are doing it. Defencemen Josh Gorges and Raphael Diaz are the guys carrying the biggest workload. Centre Tomas Plekanec, who should be getting some serious consideration for the Selke Trophy as top defensive forward this season, leads the forwards in short-handed ice time. As far as the power play goes, the Canadiens are 13-for-48 on the road this season for a league-best 27.1 percent efficiency.

Pleky is a great candidate for the Selke, he should have a shot with Datsyuk hurt. Imagine, those boobs in Toronto wanting Jay McLement nominated. Who? Fuck off you idiots.

      Delete
    3. Local reporter asked him about it couple of weeks ago, Pleky said he guesses he does not sell him self enough.
I hope he does get it, this guy does so much, never has steady teamates, never complains.

Hey Maritimer, even the coach knows: “There are some powerful teams in our conference like Pittsburgh and Boston, but we have to stay realistic and humble about the type of team we have." - MT
Like moe (and of course juce) says, we have to stay positive - get to the playoffs and anything can happen. (mostly) Positive vibes from now on.

Got the Christmas baking list. Need a few things from the store - no frigging way am I going near that place 2 Saturdays before Christmas. Probably wait and go around puck drop time - give the guys a period to build a nice lead before I tune in.

Re: the playoffs - a bonafide sniper would help. I can live with the D as is, but they know and we know they not a contender as constructed. Too small to run with the big boys. It'll take a couple of years to correct and I have to keep telling myself that. Rome wasn't built in a day.

    2. I just got back from local IGA - no car, no choice, I hate this IGA. Not much of a crowd at all but I over-extended myself on the heavy stuff and don't feel like baking anymore. ughh

Yes, postitive vibes, if the fucking broons can win a Cup, the Habs certainly can too, just got to get stay healthy when they do.

  10. Nothing to do with the game, and not sure what made me think of these, but a couple of great memories from this century for the Habs:

Hi5 Hilarious. Remember who that goal was against? Imagine if the Sens had Chara & Bishop!
A good Kingston boy. Can't help but love this even if he's Cherry's boy.

But who can forget the night of Saku's return? #chills

My Mom has travelled across the pond to visit for Christmas and I have just moved house...so I am pretty exhausted...but ready to go and ready for the Habs to get back to sinning ways. Been catching up on what I missed...the M - don't give up on the Habs...like you could even if you wanted to...but I feel your frustration. I hate watching the Habs Lise games they should have won because someone down the line forgot to draft a plsyer over 5 ft tall. But I do believe that DGMB has a plan and I believe it will work out. Dudley stuck around because he was convinced it us going to work out. Geoff Molson us no idiot either and rich people don't stay rich by pis ding away the kind of money they are spending...I gotta believe that there is a plan. So bitch if you feel the need - I do and this blog is a Godsend got all us frustrated Habs fans. Moeman s

Nadia is a fucking babe. Like 29 suggested, you've got to watCH her show's episodes to get the gist of her crazy, cool sexiness (also, see Mitsou, circa ALLWAYS and in Jean Lelpoup's live vids), she is a pure bitCHin' gal. Her voice alone melts me like butter (Mitsou's too, see 'Mon Cowboy'). Throw in some sugar and make caramelt! Like Nadia's Director, I too, may have a fetish, or too or three. Care to guess. 124. Same amount of snow here, I can't see my stairs or balcony. My son is supposed to come over but I think I'll give him a call not to, the weather's too bad. I have an ignorant neighbour who always throws his snow onto my stairs after I've cleaned them, so I will wait till he's finished before I take the plunge.
