  1. I always wanted to put on a sailor suit and cap, just saying. I never thought Scully was hot. I was never as naturally buff as a flower. On Fridays I stray as a practicing Pastafarian, because so much beauty can not be an accident, there must be a GOD.

The Habs have more smurfs than the entire western conference. That can't be an accident. Can it?

The Habs need to draft guys like Shayne Corson, Sergio Momesso, Stephane Richer, Brian Skrudland, Claude Lemieux, Lyle Odelein, size, skill and toughness (except Richer). I forgot Mike McPhee. Why can't Timmins and his gang find players like that anymore?

It may be just a couple of bad games. If you step back and look at the BIG (pun intended) picture, the problems are systemic - lack of size. Until MB weeds out the likes of DD, Gio, Briere and Cube, the laws of physics will apply every time and those four will continue to be out muscled, weighed and battled. Hey, I enjoy a nice winning streak as much as the next Habs fan, but the reality is when they play the likes of those western conference monsters they get exposed. Sure, they had their chances to beat Philthy last night (4 clear 2 on 1s) but then another problem rears its ugly head: lack of a finisher. I don't know how MB will address that problem down the road. You can't get guys like Ovechkin, Tavares or Stamkos unless you draft No. 1. Nobody will trade those picks anymore, so the only way to do that is......oh dear, is that a tank I hear warming up?

    2. sope, there's a reason behind every pic (I should start adding descriptions but I let beauty speak for itself). FWIW, I had a 'redhead' cum 'ginger' thread idea in my head and couldn't make it work so the Scully pic made its way today and I know 29 is a big ginger/Gillian/groupie. It might've offed his rocks. Yaya!

  11. Once again, moe - awesome SF job!
Yeah sope, it's only a couple of bad games. I believe they'll be back on track before long. BUT, this team cannot withstand 4 rounds of playoffs against teams the size of the Bruins, Hawks, Kings (for example). It could probably survive a round or two, but then they're beat to hell and makes rounds 3 & 4 virtually impossible. Without the big, skilled players, it's gonna be a tough haul.

We only have to go back to the magical spring of 2011. Halak played out of his mind and the Habs beat two supposedly superior skilled teams in Washington and Pittsburgh. Then they got mugged by the Phuckers. The gnats like Gio, Squid, Gomer and PleXXX couldn't get within 5 meters of Michael fucking Leighton. Size matters. Game over.

    2. Make the playoffs and anything can happen. Imagine TFS playing like he is in the playoffs. Imagine not having to worry about goons and fighting. Imagine a trade deadline acquisition to beef up the offence. Anything can happen, including the biggest most epic last 10 minute collapse in playoff history (see leaf).

After reviewing my last few posts, I apologize to all FHFer's for my negativity. We all know what needs to be done and I'm probably preaching to the choir. It is what it is and we fans have to live with it. The Habs have been my team for 54 years and will be until they put me in the ground.

My only future comments during game nights will be: Ack! Ugh! Oy! Fuck! or Yay! Whoohoo! or (insert name here)!

Also, I have gChuk in both my hockey pools and will be cheering him relentlessly or cursing Therrien when he won't give him PP time.

    1. the M., I think I speak for all FHFers, no need to EVER apologize for having an opinion about the team we CHerish. None. All voices are welcomed and it is refreshing to see how one truly feels for the team and it's direction. I love how our little FHFucked-up group has it's own collective during-the-game identity but what makes it FHFun here is the uniqueness of everyone that melts into our pot. Pants!
