  1. I don't know if Weise is going to like playing for coachless eMpTy. This from the Vancouver Province...sounds like a familiar (non) coaching style.

"As much as the Canucks were giving up on Weise, he was pissed with his plight.

He saw himself as productive and doing his job, but doing it for a coach who would scratch him because of mistakes everyone was making.

He thought he had earned more ice time and saw himself as a player who could play more and help alleviate all the minutes played being heaped on the team’s best players.

Instead, he regularly found himself marginalized during some games and in the press box for other."

If he just goes to net on more than an occasion he'll be a fucking hero.

    3. I saw a news clip of him arriving at Pierre Trudeau and he said he was a Habs fan.

      Delete
    4. Said it before - how is he going to make an impact playing 5-7 minutes a game? But I agree with the M too - crash the net and he's a God. It's laughable that the only Hab who does so on a regular basis is Gally.

      Go Habs Go!!

Gonna watch on my NHL subscription package tonight - finally caved an bought in for £35 quid - which I thought was a good deal - except it gives me an english language (read HNIC mostly) feed. We shall see

  2. The headline for the Habs game on TSN's front page is "Montreal Mike" with a photo of Squid. I thought "Cammalleri's back?! Did we trade DDD for him?" No. We didnt' trade to get Squid back. Just a dumb headline.

  4. JohnLuTSNMtl: #Habs White and newly-acquired Weise have known each other since they were 10 (Winnipeg connection). Played against each other in the WHL

@JohnLuTSNMtl: #Habs Therrien would not disclose the details of internal discussion with NHL about the incident involving Gallagher and #NHLJets.

@JohnLuTSNMtl: #Habs Gallagher says he only took issue with the punches from #NHLJets Montoya on Sunday. If roles reversed he says he would've been called.

In today's local paper they have a team stats page for all 30 NHL teams. I don't normally bother to look at them but out of curiosity I checked to see who the leading scorers were for each team. My God. Only two (2) team's leading scorers have less points than the Habs player which happens to be a defenceman, one PK Subban. Only Buffalo and Florida have worse. Why, oh why, are the Habs such a weak scoring team? Is it how they are coached? Is it the system they are forced to play? Are the players just plain bad? I truly don't get it. I know Galchenyuk is hurt but would even he make any difference? It is really discouraging to see that the once powerful Montreal Canadiens have no one even remotely close to being in the top 50!! in scoring in the NHL...out of over 700 players. We make fun of the maple laffs but DoughBoy Kessel has 30 goals and 61 points. At least they have a couple guys who can put the puck in the net and the last time I looked it usually takes more than one goal to win a game. Man, no wonder I can't watch this sad Habs outfit anymore.

The more I think about it the more I realise that rebuilding through draft picks takes a fuck of a long time when you have a dumb ass mutherfucking dickhead coach who won't play the guys sho can score in favour of the fucking gas beds who used to be able to score. GChuk can't score playing 10 minutes a game - which is what that fucking useless cocksucking dickhead as swipe coach was giving him...FIRE THE COACH AND PUT THE GM ON NOTICE SHIT'S GOTTA CHANGE FAST,

  75. So TSN is really trying to bury this leaf loss. First they take forever to post anything about it, then they go with the title above (while still trying to hide it under other headlines and videos...when the leaf win it's splashed across the page as we know). And then in the video we're treated to more saves by Bernier than goals agains (all saves were mediocre, btw). After they quickly go through the score they just concentrate on how amazing Bernier was, that's all.

We're all used to Toronto Sports Network trying to hush hush a leaf loss, but this one is just hilarious. They seem to be especially ashamed of it. Glorious. I wonder if we'll get a Kessel tracker in Sochi. Maybe they'll decide to only show US games since no leaf was good enough for Canada.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Did we win...(checks score...) Yeah Baby!...but wait...sounds like it was a bit of a snoozefest with some steller work by TFS. The NHL is a case study in this fall from Angel to Devil that they should consider and hire me to fix it swell. I was thinking aboot this and illustrate by example. SONY used to be the NHL and now they are broken parts of NASCAR pushed into the wall.
