I think we all got a bit too carried away with the Olympic feel good factor. The coach is still the coach and he is still mismanaging the lines...Shit gotta change boys...shit gotta change...
I was happy to see the Montreal crowd cheer Mike Babcock last night. Very classy. I wonder if Madame Marois troops would support him as coach of the Montreal Canadiens if he were ever mad available? The guy's a winner.
I also want to thank moeman for pointing out that Huffington Post article on the Bachelor last night. It was infinitely more entertaining than that game last night. I don't watch that show, but Mrs. Maritimer is a fan and I told her that Juan Pablo's only objective in this whole exercise was to sleep with as many as those women as possible. That DA woman wasn't buying what he was selling. As a side note, I usually leave the room when she puts that show on because I despise it, but I decided to keep her company the other night and endure it, thus I caught that particular episode.
Melnick just went on a rant, apparently there is a wall of silence surrounding the Habs. I heard Nilan complaining the other day that he wanted someone on the show but the person in question said he had to check first. I thought DGMB said they would be accessible and would no longer operate under the cone of silence.
"Vancouver Canucks centre Ryan Kesler was doing damage control after practice on Thursday, refuting a report that he's asked for a trade. "I never commented to anyone that I wanted out," he explained."
Now, will the mediot who 'reported' it step up and tell the truth that it was fabricated for the sake of making news? Sick fuck mediots lie, never get called on it and have the nada to re-report a report that was likely fake to begin with.
@TSNBobMcKenzie: RT @LouisJean_TVA: That being said, I stand 100% behind what I reported because it is true. I'm not liking what's coming from TVA, this is not the first contradiction from this guy.
They interviewed the guy who reported the story on the Three Stooges @ Noon, it was a Canucks beat reporter who basically said he heard it from a guy who heard it from a guy who was in Sochi. Supposedly, Kesler doesn't get along with Torts, big surprise there. The mediots would take that and run with it for all they're worth.
just caught the end of the game and the ot/so. looks like I missed a barn burner. Went to tsn.ca to check on the other games. No sign of the leaf on the main page or nhl page...so i guess they lost. Shame. Nice to see the boys score some goals. But I bet Carey's watching and saying why the fuck can't i ever get that goal support?!
So how many replays of the PK giveaway will TSN play? They played it almost every break time during the 3rd period. At one point I just kept skipping ahead by 10 sec intervals and it was literally, "PK....PK....Subban....PK....giveaway....PK....goal.....Subban....giveaway....PK..."
Now I just start the leaf-Isles highlights and right away, "PHIL KESSEL!!!!! Tied for scoring lead in Sochi with 8 points!!!!!" As Babcock said, does anyone care who scored the most goals? Does he have a gold medal? But since we're on the topic, didn't like 5 of those points come against Slovenia? How many points did he get in the last two games? You know the ones where they played actual competition with something on the line?
True, btw I'm sure they didn't show the give away by their other usa great JVR in OT that cost the game though. Even better were 2 SHG scored on them in the same PP.
I actually saw a lot of the game at a party. It was just sort of on in the background, but by the shootout there must have been 15 people gathered around riveted. that was something, man

That kitty must have been watching the game last night. Ugh. Such a letdown after watching near perfection for two weeks.

DeleteDenis Gauthier always PFK bashing, never wants to give TFS his due either - even after the gold medal.
ReplyDeleteUseless and clueless, just how he was when he 'played'.
DeleteWell Habs are sitting in 2nd place pending outcome of Tampa game currently tied at 2 in the 3rd.
