    3. Sorry guys and gals - I lost my mind for a second - I don't know anyone who willingly drinks Budweiser and I completely overlooked the bud /leaf reference. Let him show us he is worthy of a nickname. And another thing...will that happens playing 5 minutes a game alongside Parros?

    4. Apology accepted KmaXXX. I'll leave it up to juce if you deserve penance.

    5. No apology needed, sometimes I drink Budweiser - but not often. As for Bud, I use it as a term of derision when I while 'addressing" or "signing' off to a leaf idiot when managing a post on tsn.

  5. OMG Vancouver had a conference call with Diazling but when they connected, nobody was manning the phone in vancouver which was on hold and all your heard were news items from some radio station. The 'operator' apologized to Diazling and asked if she could call back when able to reach the pic in vancouver. Diazling said he was in his car on his way to pick up his equipment in Brossard.

  6. Anyone else find it hilarious that the cockroaches will have their resident bigot at the Olympics? The biggest congregation of nationalities and diversities done every four years and that piece of garbage represents my country? Fuck off and in the words of Mark Twain, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness", but not for the pathetic old racist fool at cbc.

Fonzie and eMTy come from the same coaching school - defence first and block as many shots as possible. I was listening to Bobby Dollas last week and he said as you get older you become less willing to block shots....'cause it fucking hurts! He said some players look at the coach and think: You get out there and block them.

    1. I vote no. The Habs have already played two road outdoor games, and the broons have already had one at home. Also, the thugs at NBCCBCTSNNHL will make sure that the broons win that game, it'll be even more ridiculous than usual.

    2. I usually roll my eyes when they start with their charts and stats and whatnot, but sometimes they do make some sense...this bit of the article hits however...

Every single statistic that can be found will tell you that for the last two years, Raphael Diaz has been the 4th best defenseman the Canadiens have had at their disposal. Better than Alexei Emelin, and so much better than Murray that they belong in different leagues.

Even if Marc Bergevin decided that Diaz wasn't worth retaining as an unrestricted free agent, the management of him as an asset is embarrasingly poor. Scratching him repeatedly in favour of inferior players is bush league. Any smart management team would have been playing the pants off of him in the easiest possible situations, minutes like Murray gets, and watch his value skyrocket....

And that is down to the coaching staff, which Marc Bergevin is responsible for hiring and firing...so what does that tell you?

I actually don't think Kerry Fraser is a leaf lover, but he does have his masters at TSN. gKid brought on the interference himself? He could have just chosen another lane out of the zone? Could you not apply that to every single interference call ever in hockey? "He could have just gone around the guy who was intentionally interfering with him!"

What I do like about this article is that Kerry finally admits that refs call penalties based on who is doing it and who is being offended, as well as the time on the clock. We all knew it before, but finally someone in the mix actually admits to it. He basically said if it wasn't Gallegher (or any Hab) in that situation, or if it wasn't late in the 3rd, it would have been a penalty. This should be a blockbuster, exposing the hypocrisy and double/triple/quadruple standards and bias of the refs. But no, just another day at the office for the NHL.

Could you imagine an NHL ref coming out and saying, "Well, given that I've seen this player drop the ball previously and then try to act like he didn't, I decided to just assume the pass was incomplete without taking into consideration the facts. It was a type of punishment against this player, and his team, for making me feel like a fool before. Plus, it was late in the game and calling it a TD would have made the other team upset, so I just let them play...out the clock and win." The fans, the coaches, the owners would be up in arms. The NFL would have to release statements after statements denying such actions are widespread and then disciline, openly, the offending ref. There'd be calls for reviews into the system and new technologies to limit these sorts of things. Congress might even get involved (hey, look at baseball). Hockey? Nope. That's the "code".
