  2. Last call in Montreal could be set to 6am. I'd like a lawyer's opinion on this matter.

I understand the need for people to protect their language and culture. What I've never understood is the need for isolation by some people which is essentially what separation will get you. I believe most minorities around the world take a "do it yourself" attitude. That's generally what the Acadien folks down here do anyway.

The Road Runner and ol' Wil E. Coyote were my favourite cartoons when I was a kid. Someday I may buy a '69 Plymouth Road Runner just so I can blow the horn. Meep! Meep!

  4. "When you think of a hockey Mecca, Montreal is it. I played many times for Buffalo in Montreal and it's so electric. I'm super excited," he said. "It's been a tough year for me and my family. I knew there was a chance we'd move again. Now it's over and I'm a Montreal Canadien and I can just focus on hockey and helping that team win a lot of games."

  5. DGMB is suppose to talk with the media pre-game. Despite his personal troubles of dealing with losing his wife's Mom, he and his team snagged (maybe at he last minute) VonT for our team. Lots of talk today about Garth Snow fucking up real bad. Some truth to that if you are an Isles fan. Marc Bergevin et al. did the required work to get him into a Habs jersey. Little to zero praise has been given but fat fucks like dave 'Sleepy' nonis, Pete 'I've got Colin on speed dial' Chiarelli , Paul 'HaHa' Holmgren (and others) weren't able to matCH the effort and resulting trade.

  6. Like the recently on-the-upswing Habs, J.T. is writing again and she is a joy to read. Many have asked why her writing and skill are not much more prevalent in the hockey articles we seek and digest. Unexplainable. Regardless, J.T. has stepped it up for the benefit of all Habs fans. She pens a new post about the 'C' in the CH. Its good. Let her know.

Garth Snow was on hockey central @ noon today, explaining why he did what he did. First, he thought Vanek was an upgrade on Moulson and would make a very strong line with Tavares and Okposo, it was a gamble for sure but what the heck, why not. Now, losing the 1st and 2nd picks to Buffalo he knew he had to get those back if he couldn't re-sign Vanek so when MB offered him Collberg, Snow viewed Collberg as a legitimate 1st rounder, they had him ranked 22nd over all in 2012, but he was now two years advanced and he got his second back as well. The Habs were smart to have the cap space available as the Islanders were not willing to retain salary and wanted none back. So, Snow didn't fuck up as bad as the mediots would have you believe. They aren't as smart as they think they are.

@JohnLuTSNMtl: With Gorges (hand injury) having returned to Mtl, #Habs defence will be Markov - Emelin; Tinordi - Subban; Murray - Weaver; Budaj starts

Any word on what # Von T will be wearing? 62? Reverse of 26. Not that i really care actually. Nevermind. Not crazy about the lines, but eMpTy will adjust I'm sure. Dreamweaver is in.

    1. I find it a strange question by the media on his intentions tol sign, guy just joined the team, he's got wife and kids to consider. I think his wife is from Minnesota, then there's also that little restriction to English schools, and the Qc is in the midst of that charter think, but I digress.
Anyhow, good luck on the team and SCORE!

  51. Ok, time for Toker. It's 420 somewhere.

  52. Alright, regroup, drink some gatorade and come back fighting.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Vodkov shouldn't have tried to put that through doan.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Vanek hasn't scored yet. I say the Habs lost that trade!

    ReplyDelete
  59. WTF? No goal the player was in the crease.

    ReplyDelete
  60. These refs HATE the Habs.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Habs score legit goal, refs wave it off. Habs near the goalie, refs wave it off. Yote kicks Budy's stick out of his hand and puck goes in, good goal.

Somehow refs just get blinded by the Southern sun. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that it helps out Bettman's project teams.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Mihalek edged DDD into the crease, non reviewable, refs have final say per RDS.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Refs are dictating this game just like they did last night.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Man, the Habs have got a LOT of refused goals this year.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think between Christmas thru end of Jan? they had 5 goals refused. One last night, one tonight and the one they tried to rob us before going to toronto.

  65. Habs killing their own penalty.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Seriously, does the guy with the most shots have to buy everyone dinner after the game? They absolutely refuse to put it on net, and when they do they wait for the guy to get into position to block it. Not just this game either.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Cash the pucker!!!

    ReplyDelete
  68. HA delay of game!!!

    ReplyDelete
  69. I'm sure they huddled to try and see if they could cancel it.

    C'mon Vanek, make your mark.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Cash it, cash it.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Jeff Halpern too? Phoenix is like a Habs retirement home.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Is it just me or does Vanek seem to just stand and wait for the puck? I mean that's ok in front of the net, but I think he maybe could have made a little more effort to retrieve it and kept in their end? Maybe he's just tired and the stress of ever trade and travel I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Seriously, puckbutt should get a penalty for too many men, he's like the 6th man.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Honestly, I know they're tired but Buddy has looked like shit tonight. Luckily they haven't allowed many shots since the 1st.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Well, I thought getting one more to tie it was going to be tough. I don't really have much confidence they'll get 2.

    ReplyDelete
  84. The last time we lost in PHX was in 1998.

    ReplyDelete
  85. It seems this year that a lot of teams have broken some such records vs Habs this year.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Well that wasn't fun.
    Good night all.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Some mental lapses on defence, bad penalties, terrible goaltending and a tired team. Regroup for San Jose on Saturday.

  88. the Maritimer7:13 AM

I thought if they got 2 or 3 points on this trip that would be good, especially with no Price. A point in SJ would be good, then home to face the broons, no easy task.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Bergevin has reached out to Bozon's parents and he's made Dr Mulder available and he has consulted with the Bozon's doctors. One thing you can say, DGMB cares about his players.
