I understand the need for people to protect their language and culture. What I've never understood is the need for isolation by some people which is essentially what separation will get you. I believe most minorities around the world take a "do it yourself" attitude. That's generally what the Acadien folks down here do anyway.
The Road Runner and ol' Wil E. Coyote were my favourite cartoons when I was a kid. Someday I may buy a '69 Plymouth Road Runner just so I can blow the horn. Meep! Meep!
"When you think of a hockey Mecca, Montreal is it. I played many times for Buffalo in Montreal and it's so electric. I'm super excited," he said. "It's been a tough year for me and my family. I knew there was a chance we'd move again. Now it's over and I'm a Montreal Canadien and I can just focus on hockey and helping that team win a lot of games."
DGMB is suppose to talk with the media pre-game. Despite his personal troubles of dealing with losing his wife's Mom, he and his team snagged (maybe at he last minute) VonT for our team. Lots of talk today about Garth Snow fucking up real bad. Some truth to that if you are an Isles fan. Marc Bergevin et al. did the required work to get him into a Habs jersey. Little to zero praise has been given but fat fucks like dave 'Sleepy' nonis, Pete 'I've got Colin on speed dial' Chiarelli , Paul 'HaHa' Holmgren (and others) weren't able to matCH the effort and resulting trade.
Like the recently on-the-upswing Habs, J.T. is writing again and she is a joy to read. Many have asked why her writing and skill are not much more prevalent in the hockey articles we seek and digest. Unexplainable. Regardless, J.T. has stepped it up for the benefit of all Habs fans. She pens a new post about the 'C' in the CH. Its good. Let her know.
True the M.. I just like to let FHFolks know when she has new stuff because it is usually always refreshing, interesting, thoughtful and as you mention self-effacing. Wish had her writing skill.
Garth Snow was on hockey central @ noon today, explaining why he did what he did. First, he thought Vanek was an upgrade on Moulson and would make a very strong line with Tavares and Okposo, it was a gamble for sure but what the heck, why not. Now, losing the 1st and 2nd picks to Buffalo he knew he had to get those back if he couldn't re-sign Vanek so when MB offered him Collberg, Snow viewed Collberg as a legitimate 1st rounder, they had him ranked 22nd over all in 2012, but he was now two years advanced and he got his second back as well. The Habs were smart to have the cap space available as the Islanders were not willing to retain salary and wanted none back. So, Snow didn't fuck up as bad as the mediots would have you believe. They aren't as smart as they think they are.

JohnLuTSNMtl: #Habs lines vs #Coyotes: Vanek - Plekanec - Gionta; Pacioretty - Desharnais - Gallagher; Galchenyuk - Brière - Bourque; Moen - White - Eller
46 minutes ago @JohnLuTSNMtl: With Gorges (hand injury) having returned to Mtl, #Habs defence will be Markov - Emelin; Tinordi - Subban; Murray - Weaver; Budaj starts
No Cournoyer? Habs have to beware of the dreaded ACME trap tonight! Any word on what # Von T will be wearing? 62? Reverse of 26. Not that i really care actually. Nevermind. Not crazy about the lines, but eMpTy will adjust I'm sure. Dreamweaver is in. GO HABS GO!!!
Welcome to the Montreal Canadiens Mike Weaver. VonT might be the cachet player but bring your best game and Habs fans will show their knowledgeable hockey gratitude. In the meantime, we'll think of a nickname.
I find it a strange question by the media on his intentions tol sign, guy just joined the team, he's got wife and kids to consider. I think his wife is from Minnesota, then there's also that little restriction to English schools, and the Qc is in the midst of that charter think, but I digress. Anyhow, good luck on the team and SCORE!

Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!!
I think between Christmas thru end of Jan? they had 5 goals refused. One last night, one tonight and the one they tried to rob us before going to toronto.
Seriously, does the guy with the most shots have to buy everyone dinner after the game? They absolutely refuse to put it on net, and when they do they wait for the guy to get into position to block it. Not just this game either.
Is it just me or does Vanek seem to just stand and wait for the puck? I mean that's ok in front of the net, but I think he maybe could have made a little more effort to retrieve it and kept in their end? Maybe he's just tired and the stress of ever trade and travel I guess.
I thought if they got 2 or 3 points on this trip that would be good, especially with no Price. A point in SJ would be good, then home to face the broons, no easy task.
Bergevin has reached out to Bozon's parents and he's made Dr Mulder available and he has consulted with the Bozon's doctors. One thing you can say, DGMB cares about his players.
I taught I taw a putty tat!
ReplyDeleteLast call in Montreal could be set to 6am. I'd like a lawyer's opinion on this matter.

ReplyDeleteSince Weaver creates websites, how about www. for web weaver?
ReplyDeleteVonT, on with RDS, is very level-headed, well-spoken and almost lawyerly with his words. NTTIAWWT!

ReplyDeletePuckbutt is too cocky for my liking, I hope they score when he's out of his net.
ReplyDeleteAck
ReplyDeleteCripesin frak. that was a weird one
ReplyDeletedamn.
ReplyDeletecrap
ReplyDeletegreat now the Yotes will trap for 59 minutes
ReplyDeleteSigh.
ReplyDeleteIs the little fuckety fuck on this team?
ReplyDeleteYup.
DeleteCHips with an assist. I miss him. He was big on FHF back in the day
ReplyDeleteThe ice has a pinkish hue, a rosy glow.
ReplyDeleteit does, weird. thick lustrous hair too
DeleteMaybe the Habs could learn a thing or two about just putting pucks to the net. Always looks like the Habs are too scared to shoot.
ReplyDeleteHere we go again. Refs are blinded by the Southern sun again.
ReplyDeleteBooty has a nice Canadian flag on his mask.
ReplyDeleteUm, what I said about the refs........FUCK IT.
ReplyDelete+CHeese
ReplyDeleteThe little fuckity fuck (Ribeiro) is on the Yotes now?
ReplyDeletethat looked in to me!
ReplyDeletewas it in?
ReplyDeletethat's so in!
ReplyDeleteYup.
Deletevodkov!!!!
ReplyDeleteREPLAY!
ReplyDeleteOr commercial break. Whichever, TSN.
DeleteThat's a goal, it hit the camera inside the net.
ReplyDeleteOn a really nice play.
DeleteThe FHFun thing is this makes the fuckers in tranna puke a little in their mouths.
ReplyDeleteWhat's taking so long? Toronto figuring out a way that it's not a goal
ReplyDeleteDGMB on RDS at intermission.
ReplyDeleteVodkov (I think I'm behind, as usual).
ReplyDeleteYup.
DeleteWhilst here, Vodkov's shootout goal last night was sweet!
ReplyDeletesure was. it was like, I'm coming in fast and I am shooting it where I see space and just try to stop it
DeleteBudy!!!!
ReplyDeleteAs DGMb is saying, get well to Tim Bozon.
ReplyDeleteThat was a cool move by (Y) to get back and get the puck. Neat camera angle.
ReplyDeleteoh Lego we'll see you on the bench
ReplyDeleteCoachless has ruined this kid, stripped his confidence and now he gets stupid penalties trying too hard to get back in good graces.
DeleteeMpTy is ruining all the young players. It's sad to watch.
DeleteBoston wins, but the Bolts are losing.
ReplyDeleteBroons played the Caps who were literally beaten by the philthy last night.
DeleteDoghouse for Lego.
ReplyDeletecripesing frak
ReplyDeleteTwo shit goals.
ReplyDeleteLego won't see the ice for a week now
ReplyDeleteCripes.
ReplyDeleteSo kicking the goalie's stick out of the way is ok, I guess.
ReplyDeleteLego's so gonna wish he was traded now. Will we see him again tonight?
ReplyDeleteHe was just on.
Deletekill me
ReplyDeleteNot good.
ReplyDeletefeck
ReplyDeleteOk, time for Toker. It's 420 somewhere.
ReplyDeleteAlright, regroup, drink some gatorade and come back fighting.
ReplyDeleteVodkov shouldn't have tried to put that through doan.
ReplyDeleteVanek hasn't scored yet. I say the Habs lost that trade!
ReplyDeleteSeriously dudes? And where's this Vanek guy of which you all speak?
ReplyDeleteOuCH! Nice shot Kate.
DeleteThe new Lou (Lamoriello) rule is getting the Habs McDonaugh back!!!
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!!
Cash that pucker!!
ReplyDeleteWTF? No goal the player was in the crease.
ReplyDeleteThese refs HATE the Habs.
ReplyDeleteHabs score legit goal, refs wave it off. Habs near the goalie, refs wave it off. Yote kicks Budy's stick out of his hand and puck goes in, good goal.
ReplyDeleteSomehow refs just get blinded by the Southern sun. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that it helps out Bettman's project teams.
Mihalek edged DDD into the crease, non reviewable, refs have final say per RDS.
ReplyDeleteRefs are dictating this game just like they did last night.
ReplyDeleteMan, the Habs have got a LOT of refused goals this year.
ReplyDeleteI think between Christmas thru end of Jan? they had 5 goals refused. One last night, one tonight and the one they tried to rob us before going to toronto.
DeleteHabs killing their own penalty.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, does the guy with the most shots have to buy everyone dinner after the game? They absolutely refuse to put it on net, and when they do they wait for the guy to get into position to block it. Not just this game either.
ReplyDeleteCash the pucker!!!
ReplyDeleteHA delay of game!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they huddled to try and see if they could cancel it.
ReplyDeletePFK!!!
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah!
ReplyDeleteFinally!!
ReplyDeleteIt's gCHyuk
ReplyDeleteTip for gCHuck apparently.
ReplyDeleteShots were 11-1 for the Habs in that period.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteC'mon Vanek, make your mark.
Cash it, cash it.
ReplyDeleteJeff Halpern too? Phoenix is like a Habs retirement home.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or does Vanek seem to just stand and wait for the puck? I mean that's ok in front of the net, but I think he maybe could have made a little more effort to retrieve it and kept in their end? Maybe he's just tired and the stress of ever trade and travel I guess.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, puckbutt should get a penalty for too many men, he's like the 6th man.
ReplyDeleteMerde
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I know they're tired but Buddy has looked like shit tonight. Luckily they haven't allowed many shots since the 1st.
ReplyDeleteWell, I thought getting one more to tie it was going to be tough. I don't really have much confidence they'll get 2.
ReplyDeleteAnything's possible, but this time, even I have my doubts.
DeleteThat's it, Weaver and Tinordi will be nailed to the bench.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, Buddha Blows.
ReplyDeleteWTF? Time for bed. Night all.
ReplyDeleteI could go the rest of my life never hearing that fucking howling again. Christ, what is this a double A team?
ReplyDeleteThe last time we lost in PHX was in 1998.
ReplyDeleteIt seems this year that a lot of teams have broken some such records vs Habs this year.
ReplyDeleteWell that wasn't fun.
ReplyDeleteGood night all.
Night!
DeleteSome mental lapses on defence, bad penalties, terrible goaltending and a tired team. Regroup for San Jose on Saturday.
