1. Here's the thing. I don't hate the leaf. Or at least I wouldn't if it wasn't for the fucking media. I wouldn't like them, but I wouldn't HATE them. But all the networks force us to hate. So fuck them. And fuck the leaf. And fuck NHIC.
Praise Strombo! If he falls to the leaf loving ways, we'll know all is lost. Good night.

1. Their fans are even worse than their leaf loving mediots - if that's possible, maybe I just expose myself to them more.

2. As I've said before, I grew up just outside Toronto. Leaf fans are terrible. They really don't know anything about hockey, just their leaf. Every goalie is a Vezina candidate, every defencemen a Norris favourite, every forward a superstar, etc. If you try to discuss actual hockey with them, like the rules or salary cap or players on any other team, they honestly have nothing to say and will often get angry and try to bring it back to their leaf. We see it every HNIC broadcast, all leaf all the time, and decades of that have created blue and white zombies who are leaf fans, not hockey fans.

3. WOOHOO!
Just finished watching the game. Read through the comments, you guys notices a lot of what was making me crazy on HNIC. Jake Gardiner (sp?...oh, who cares) was "the best player on the ice all night". Who? What did he do? Healy "Leafs deserved better! They ran circles around the Habs all night, total domination!" Huh? At one point he was talking about how dominating the leaf was while the Habs had them penned in their zone. He was quite upset at that too many men call, I though we were going to hear him throw a phone or something (by the way it took the refs long enough to call that. I think they were trying to ignore it, but the leaf didn't get off since they can't count all the way to 6).

It's one thing to support your team (unprofessional and childish, but whatever). But these guys are in LOVE with their leaf. It's like listening to a 8 year old girl talk about kittens. I don't think Oiler announcers got that worked up about Gretzsky in the 80s. Relax guys, it's some no name leaf dumping the puck in, not LaFleur streaking down the wing. And no, Kessel and JVR are not the modern day Lemuix/Jagr. Relax.

Habs win! Habs win! Wings 1pt back, BJs 2pts back, of the wretched leaf with games in hand. Teehee. Bye bye!

4. Also wanted to mention that back in January with the leaf suckers were crying because Bernier/Reimer weren't chosen as Canada's 1-2 for Sochi ("Who?" -everyone outside the GTA) that by next season Reimer will be playing someone else and leaf fans will forget he ever existed. Looks like we're well on our way there now. Healy was very upset with him tonight, kept shit talking him. Teehee.

5. I love waking up on a Sunday morning after a Habs win over the wretched leaf!

6. You guys see the Oiler fan throw his jersey on the ice and then Scrivens tosses it back? I guess you could say................

It was their throwback jerseys!

(stolen)

7. Saw that. Friggin' funny. You gotta be some sick of your team to throw your $150 sweater away. Edmonton can't just keep getting the first pick and eventually become champions. Can they?

To continue with the media driven leaf hate notion, Feschuk over at the Toronto Star said if Bernier had been in goal the leaf would have won. Really? Got the winning lotto numbers for next Saturday as well?

9. yes things are expensive in Toronto, look what you get for $5.25 million a year

10. cant wait for the playoff when HNIC is calling a game with three teams on the ice, the two teams playing and what the leaf would be doing if they were playing. Right there Gardnier would have skated through the whole team and scored, Team x would have won that game with bolloard on the ice.

11. PFK speaking too frankly?

Here the comment by PK when asked about the being jeered.

Yes, I know,” Subban chuckled Saturday when asked by the Sun if he was aware he is becoming ‘the new Alfie’ in these parts. “But here’s my thing. You always have to put it the other way. If I ever ended up playing in Toronto at some point in my career, what would it be like then? Would they still boo me? I don’t know if they would or not.

- heely laughing at how long céline had his stick jammed in between PatCHes' legs
- their non comment on céline going after the much smaller in size but gigantic in caracter DDD

I hazard a guess that 95% of the commentary last night was leaf, if you would have been listening on the radio you would have been hard pressed to know who the opposition was.

3. That's not an exaggeration at all the M. The writing must be on the wall for these guys for what's going to happen next year, that was the worst leaf love-in for a very long time. Trying to get it all in before SportsNet puts some professionalism into the broadcast.

18. So apparently the PQ is upset that Anglophone students will be voting in the election. All 200 of them who all live in downtown Montreal that wouldn't vote for the PQ if they offered them free puppies and joints, will apparently sway the whole election. I'm trying to figure out if these morons are scared of anglophones or just scared of educated people. Maybe both?

1. Wasn't there a controversy yesterday about an on-slaught of people trying to get on the electoral list who were pro-pq? and today they cry fowl?

2. Pauline was banging pots and pans just a little while ago. She makes me sick in so many ways. Polls suggest the PLQ has gained big time. Kick her and her ilk to the curb, for good.

3. There's a segment on local CTV news Fridays, round table with Bill Brownstein of the Gazette, Aaron Rand, and Terry Demonti (sp). Well, last Friday Mitsumi pointed out to them a PQ electoral campaign poster - it was facing away from the street and directly into their window - which is on the 2nd floor. Definitely not intended for the passers by.

2. Did you see the attacks against his wife on Twitter yesterday? Classless organization, attracts classless fans. I don't think he's a great goalie, but he did drag his team into the playoffs and to Game 7 against the broons. Without him and Bernier this year they'd be competing with Buffalo and Edmonton for the first pick. Carlyle would be out of job without these guys, so of course the first one he attacks is the goalie. Hope Reimer goes somewhere more sane this summer, comes back to shuts these losers out in Toronto next year.

20. There's lots of problems with the Bleacher Report, but I just want to share their entry on the leaf for "Where Every Team Will Finish in the Standings":

Conference finish: 10th

Games remaining: 15

Home/away: 7/8

Vs. nonplayoff teams: 8

Analysis: For the Leafs to miss the playoffs at this point, it would take quite the collapse. But I believe they have it in them. They are a dreadful possession team, which almost always catches up with teams. They play the Red Wings twice down the stretch, and losses in those games will be what keeps the Leafs home this summer.

This was written March 13th, before their current losing streak.

22. So the question is why would Carlyle start a goalie he's unhappy with and says hasn't been playing well, in back-to-back games this weekend? Could it be that he knew his team was going to lose anyway, so it's better to make Reimer the scapegoat? Because looking at those 3 goals tonight, while Reimer wasn't great, the defence was pathetic. It's been pathetic all year, but the goalies have just been covering it up.

26. Fogetting about the wretched team for a moment and back to our beloved CH. They'll be in the playoffs which is awesome. However the defence scares me. Cube, Crankshaft, Dreamweaver??? Not a lot of confidence there for me. Gorges should be back. What about Tintin? Beaulieu? (Y) has good games and less than good games. Anyway, here's hoping we end that fucking winning streak tomorrow. GHG!!!

27. Whilst here, it is no secret that I hate the leaf. Always have, always will. I can wish they go 0-82 every year but that would mean a 1st pick, so them floundering in the middle is fine by me. It is glorious when our Habs beat them and just as much fun when they collapse and make the mediots look like the leaf-loving fools they are. Almost 50 years of this shit makes one very, very happy.

By next Saturday, hopefully, the sad sack leaf will be out of a playoff position and we can all sit back and watch as the leaf hacks and homers of HNIC sit with their long faces trying to figure out what went awry for their beloved darlings. I intend to gloat.
