Moe possibly bitten by poisonous snake ~ 29 subs in last minute for this Wings preview and open thread

DON'T PANIC, but moe might be dead. I can't confirm he's dead, but it's less than 2 hours until game time and he has not put up a game thread so it's the only logical conclusion. GO GATORS. Errrr, GYFHG.

  1. Info that didn't make it into the quickie preview:

    - Habs have won 6 of the last 7, and 3 straight
    - Wings 2-0 over the Habs so far this season
    - This is Game 1 of the Habs 4-game road trip
    - All the Habs 4th line forwards are injured basically

Merci 29, always appreciated by me and of course the local locals. Great post and the pic o' da day is perfect, polly describing the size of the snake (interestingly enough named pkp, because of the venom spewed).

Allez-y Couillard! (for our Allophone FHFriends a couille is slang for testicles).

Time to kick some Red Wing ass and set a precedent. Go Habs Go! and a loser point would be OK just to fuck the leaf. But I want them to beat Babcock to make a point.

    1. I think DGMB could make a decent argument to VonT to stay. I think a lot will depend on how deep a playoff run the Habs hive him

    2. I think he may not want to sign with the education laws, his offspring will have to go to French school. Not sure how old they are. Then again, if they are very young, maybe he'll think another language is a good thing. Who knows.

Mickey Redmond = ex-Hab, traded to Detroit back in '71 for the Big M Frank Mahovlich who helped the Habs beat the Big Bad Bruins and win the Cup.

  97. Tampa takes it in the 14th round of the SO. Damn it. But that's fine. Even though it keeps them on pace with the Habs, the ROW tie-breaker goes more in favour for MTL.

I have no idea what happened in the 3rd of the MTL-DET game. I have to go back and watch it. But, in the meantime, YAY!

  100. Pure class on Babs. On the offside goal (which I knew was offside when it happened):
"You earn your own breaks. We needed another goal."

Claude would have had the mic covered in spittle demanding the league give them 98 PPs next meeting and calling Patches a chicken.

Oh, and whoever called the CoTU jerking off over the PK giveaway, they threw in one for free. They really hate the guy.

    - Nathan Beaulieu must have sworn at someone or told someone off when he got sent down because the last I saw him in Montreal he was playing excellent hockey. This is the classic old men demanding respect from young men scenario putting Nathan in his place in Hamilton. That's what I believe. You want to help Nathan continue to be a man, then do it to his face in Montreal. Teach him lessons here. Help him to be a great teammate with great teammates. Is he going to learn all the NHL protocol and NHL life lessons with Gionta Plekanec and Price or Dumont Leblanc and Blunden? The Habs are doing this all wrong with this man. This isn't tough love. This is stupid ego. Beaulieu belongs up here. If I have a young man I care about, I don't send him to a lousy boarding school with lousy teachers and underachieving classmates. If I have a young man I care about who has the talent to work for me I want him around my professional environment. I want my Carey Price, who is a fine man and has learned a lot of life lessons, to see scenarios and know that when he talks to Beaulieu about something it is much more powerful a message than when anyone in Hamilton has a message to send. I would also bring my captain into the office and tell him to help my young man and take him aside when he sees something. I show Beaulieu leadership and caring in Montreal, instead of ignoring him on a bad team with not a thing to learn in an minor league environment that is just going to irritate the kid even more. Get that talented kid out of Hamilton already. Hubris angers me. And I don't mean the kid's hubris.
