Fans meet Viagra, or I was thinking Viagra pills are blue, so how about Bleue, because I think FHF may be in the language police crosshairs for not having enough french nicknames.
hate to be a downer but lets send our best wishes to Tim Bozon http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatoon/whl-star-tim-bozon-critically-ill-with-meningitis-family-says-1.2561373
I hope she is good looking because Bleue's wife is from Minny and thus his desire to move there. But we have 29, So all he has to do is seduce the wife, she want to stay in Montreal, its a win win.
Seriously Moey? I've seen Vanek score lots of nifty goals against the Habs and wish we had somebody with hands like that. Actually, now that I think of it, Vanek may be like l'Artiste from the faceoff circle in, deadly.
I sure hope he considers signing with Montreal in the off season, he'd be dynamite with gCHuk feeding him passes. He's got to like some of the talent he's going to playing with and with PK and Price on the backend not to mention Vodkov what's not to like. Can Minnesota even afford him with what they are paying Suter and Parise?
So, the Biggest Loser of the day is insidredger, yet that POS just said he'd pick at the carcass of the Vancouver Canucks until Draft day. Stay classy you sick fuck mediot.
I spoke with two NHL executives this weekend about Thomas Vanek and whether his blown curfew scandal with Team Austria would impact the Islanders’ plans to move him before the trade deadline. Both said that the episode wouldn’t sour them on the player, but that they would try to use the incident to lighten the pot a bit. New York GM Garth Snow is said to be looking for a first rounder and a second rounder/high-profile prospect in return for the pending UFA winger. If he gets less than that, Vanek’s curfew shenanigans will be one of the reasons why. http://nhl.si.com/2014/02/24/takeaways-from-the-sochi-olympics/
Maritimer, I have a feeling the Caps won't make the playoffs. No worries. Vanek was drafted 5th overall in 2003. Does this make up for the Tits debacle being picked 10th overall ahead of all those big names?
I like this comment by a fellow Maritimer over at HI/O >
TSN is hilarious
They will not deal with their favorite team doing nothing to address one of the worst 6 man D units in the NHL, and almost refuse to acknowledge the Habs steal of the day for Vanek.
I noticed that at well when the insiders were announcing it, the Habs scooped up the biggest fish in the pond and all the fucking leaf fans/mediots were in disbelief. Sick fucks. The only one who thought it was a big deal was Ferraro.
Yes, I forgot about LeBrun, he thought it was a coup by Bergevin and may have changed the balance of power in the east. Blob and dredger were choking on their blue and white spit.
The funniest part was seeing how angered insidredger was being caught in his web of lies and doubling down on attacking the Canuck 'carcass'. Sick fuck slime ball.
Saw Vanek's interview. He 'said' he was excited, but he sure didn't sound excited. But maybe he's just not an excitable boy (Warren Zevon ref.) As for a nick name, he's Austrian and the only Austrians I know are Arnie and Hitler...and the Sound of Music bunch. eMpTy will have him playing the von Trap system in no time. nic options... von Trap. TeeVee. Mark Langston.
I like Von Trap which made me think of lartiste, so another option is to call him Klimt In defence of Austria which I consider to be the greatest country in the world, and my second favorite country, when Hitler was in Austria he was only a bad painter.
I got a feeling the team is going to be on fire tonite. Danny Beer sees his chance to cement himself as third line center. That would be a huge mistake because he can play wing whereas Lego is hopeless there. Hopefullly a night in the pressbox can get Lego head out of his ass.
I cant believe we won trade deadline day. I can never remember such an event. Even if Von Trap ends up being a rental its still a great move by DGMB and he deserves a big golf clap.
I like this trade! I was secretly hoping the Habs would scoop up Vanek somehow. Habs need scoring, Vanek is a scorer. Didn't give up too much, either. I'm not used to this feeling. Is it...is it "optimism"? No, not that far. Less pessimism? Yes. That's it. Less pessimism.
Also love these West coast starts! The games start around my lunch time at work, and my afternoons are usually less busy than mornings so I can watch it more closely. Of course I have that gamecenter thing now, so I can watch the games any time! Like last Sunday, not having to wake up at 8am is so nice. So so nice.
Wow, just reading through the trades. Lots of action today, much more than years past. St Louis to the Rangers? Is there bad blood between him and Stevie Y now? I'm actually pretty busy at work today/this week/this month (something about taking 2 months holidays), but this is all very intriguing.
eMTy says no VonT on the pp until he proves himself to be a good teamate. I am not worried about that cause if its one thing I do its make good teamates. Mostly its players that are so glad to play for another team that I am not coaching.
one of my favourite tweets today was from Ted Bird. He said something like "Therrien is happy to have Vanek here, looking forward to making him the Selke trophy winner"
And not to mention now I'm faced with a dilemma, if we're going to be as good as they say we are does that mean a Duck vs Habs final? Noooooo! My tortured soul, excuse me while I go and find a tree with a sturdy branch.
VonT can play either wing, so why not put him with DDD and Patches and reunite the EGG line. Then you could have the GiantBeerPlex line and the WMW line. Why not? OH yeah, coachless eMpTy.

Martin St. Louis has landed in NYC. Get a hattie Marty.

DeletePrayers to Bozon and wish you get well.

ReplyDeleteI hope she is good looking because Bleue's wife is from Minny and thus his desire to move there. But we have 29, So all he has to do is seduce the wife, she want to stay in Montreal, its a win win.
ReplyDeleteVanek will love the European flavour of Montreal. Bievenue a Montreal, Thomas! GHG!!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of him but yay! Seriously I haven't. *goes back into cave*
ReplyDeleteKate meant *goes back into cellar*

Having Trevor Timmins, one of the best amateur scouting Directors, makes this deal happen.
ReplyDeleteBurnside http://espn.go.com/blog/nhl/post/_/id/29467/how-about-those-canadiens-getting-vanek :
ReplyDelete"The presence of Vanek in the Canadiens lineup has the potential to change the balance of power in the Atlantic Division."
Am I excited? Am I getting too high hopes? yes and yes
We got a real shot, if Beledau can make our second unit PP work, plan the parade
DeleteSo, the Biggest Loser of the day is insidredger, yet that POS just said he'd pick at the carcass of the Vancouver Canucks until Draft day. Stay classy you sick fuck mediot.
ReplyDeleteAlso, second biggest loser of the day = Nonis, the fucking leaf will be lucky if they make the playoffs. He and insidredger can share a crying towel.
DeleteI think Vanek will like Montreal...what's not to like!!??
ReplyDeletewell you can like it TOO much. ask Big and Little Tits
DeleteHe did break curfew in Sochi, partied till 2:00am.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNYR are playing like the leaf ugh.
ReplyDeleteNYR SHG!!!
ReplyDeleteKicked in by prince$$ lol.
DeleteNYR SHG!!!! tied at 2.
ReplyDeletei am awake and i just watched the Leaf blow a 2-0 lead to the Rangers. giidyup
ReplyDeleteIs it to early to start worrying about playing Bishop in the playoffs, its impossible to score on him.
ReplyDeleteI thought we were worrying about Jaro in the playoffs?
DeleteWe might as well just tank
DeleteFuckin leaf, kings of the loser point
ReplyDeleteloser point has to go, maybe it should be a half point?
Deleteack Leaf win
ReplyDeleteCrap. If lumberjack was penalized for tucking is shirt, surely NYR would have had another SHG. ORA

Let's really hope that's next on DGMB's list.

I'm really confused. You go out and get a backup goalie, and then send him to Hamilton and start your young goalie anyway? The fuck?
ReplyDeletePuck drop! C'mon boys I don't know how long I can stay awake!
ReplyDeleteHang on boys! I'll try to make it through the first.
ReplyDeleteC'mon Toker, smoke some duck.
He's hot in the box
Delete/ these Toker jokes write themselves
That's not nice George, beating up on your old teammates
ReplyDeleteI hold my breath for Parros. Fucking refs give him an instigator.
ReplyDeleteFor years the Habs got pummeled by thug teams with no calls. They get a fighter and now suddenly the instigator penalty gets handed out all the time.
ReplyDeleteThey just changed it to 'unsportman'
DeleteEvery time Marchand is sent on the ice there should be an unsportsman call.
DeleteToker looks nervous in there. He should smoke a bowl
ReplyDeleteWould you like some mustard with that hot dog?
ReplyDeleteGio!!!
ReplyDeleteGIant and the run to the cup is on

ReplyDeleteMan that DDD can dish the puck
ReplyDeleteAnd who's there falling over the goalie? Gkid, that's who.
ReplyDeleteCash it, boys!!
ReplyDeleteeMpTy's thoughts: "VonT will hurt this chemistry. I'll just put him on the 4th line, give him 6 minutes of ice time"
ReplyDeleteHow Vanek is treated will be a big test for eMpTy. Unfortunately, as long as the Habs are in the playoffs his job is likely safe.
DeleteToker is both in the groove and grooving
ReplyDeletepad save Toker! as steve says, he's totally grooving
ReplyDeleteNice ovation for Parros.
ReplyDeleteVonT can play either wing, so why not put him with DDD and Patches and reunite the EGG line. Then you could have the GiantBeerPlex line and the WMW line. Why not? OH yeah, coachless eMpTy.
ReplyDeletehe's going to ruin VonT before he even plays
DeleteGio doesn't want to give up his top 6 status so easy
ReplyDeleteoh Danny B, you can't shove your stick up a guy's crotCH
ReplyDeleteToker's wife and baby travelled with the club and are waiting in the dressing room
ReplyDeleteYou kill me!

Deletehahahahahahahahahahahaha
Delete2-0 after 1. the VonT era is off to a good start and he's not even playing!
ReplyDeleteThat was Perry's 2nd slash, refs did nothing the first time - he's white.
ReplyDeleteToker the only goalie in the NHL with headphones built into his mask
ReplyDeletePFK will hook him up beats custom fitted under his helmet.

ReplyDeleteOk, relax refs. The Ducks don't need that much help.
ReplyDeletePalmeri hooks PatCHes and no fucking call.

ReplyDeleteThere's something about the California/Florida sun that makes the refs see funny. Or it's Buttman's continued desperate attempt to create a strong hockey market in the south.
DeleteAnd with the leaf win, even more important to hold the habs back.

ReplyDeleteOk, it's over his shoulders. But gKid is also only 4'5".
ReplyDeleteOk Habs, put it in the bank.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that was in, 2 habs celeb and the ref says no?
ReplyDeleteI literally don't understand how that didn't go in. Thrice.
ReplyDeleteI want to see the replay.
ReplyDeleteOk it didn't go in.
ReplyDeleteNo replay on the close call(s)
ReplyDeleteDucks completely allowed to hold onto sticks. But Habs better not get too close to any of them.
ReplyDeletePerry hold Tinordi's stick and no call. Didn't see what RBQ did yet, but if a Hab breaths to hard, they get slapped with a penalty. Enough already.
ReplyDeleteA penalty on the Habs.....but it was the Hab that fell and didn't get the puck. Oh, refs. You're not even trying anymore, are you?
ReplyDeleteZebras are really dictating the game.
ReplyDeleteJesus, it's even more ridiculous on replay. No lifting sticks now.
ReplyDeleteTSN: "I'm surprised we didn't get more backlash from Therrien on that call". Welcome to our hell.

ReplyDeleteAlso nice to see coachless use some different kids in the shootout and in OT. Maybe he's celebrating the Vanek trade.
ReplyDeleteThanks moeman and goodnight everyone.
ReplyDeleteGood night guys. Almost done work! Or should I say "work". Ah, it'll all get done eventually.
