Ok so they made an amazing comeback last night - I was mesmerised and I was only listening to the radio feed. Let's not get too excited. They played a very good first period but couldn't convert - Briere should have had a hattie - they sucked shit for the rest of the game...or up until they second goal they scored. The D were leaving men open and allowing them to walk in from 10 feet and fire huge slippers at TFS. No wonder he didn't bother getting on the plane to buffalo. The Habs have some serious problems that need addressing. It all starts at the same place - and y'all know where I'm going here so I won't. No blackout tonight so I will,be watching. Go Habs go!
Heh, they just can't help themselves. Loved hearing the mediot's reporting the game - the shock, the disbelief, the amazement that the Habs got away with all that stuff. Every one of them mentioned how Vanek made contact with Lamer, but not one mentioned (even though it was clear in the video) that he was checked into him. Love it. Suck it fuckers.
GHG, not sure I'm able to watch tonight. Might catch the turd.
The leaf is the most covered team yet not a single web site with their team's Caps loss but no problem posting Luongo's loss literally seconds after it happens. Bias by the sick fucks? Smells like tears on their keyboards to me.
Got to agree with some of the RDSers, DDD has been clutCH of late. His team-mates admire him, we enjoy it when he produces and more importantly he, himself is having a blast. Yes we can rip MT2 for overplaying his minutes but he is delivering.
Yours truly is up at the 29 family cottage where I have been all weekend celebrating the legendary mom of 29's 75th birthday. We've been drunk all weekend. My family rules.
ANYWAY, point is, up here we have Bell TV. This is my first ever hockey game watching on TSN-Habs. Looking forward to seeing what the experience is like. I always liked Ransdorf, we'll see how he does
Just catching up now. The Buffalo guys pretty much picked every reason why goal #1 shouldn't have counted. Kick, hand, high stick and goalie interference. I was waiting for them to say the period had ended, too.
Of course I'm now learning that neither of the goals should have happened because PK should have gotten a much longer penalty (have to go back and see it). And they're still going on about the first goal. I know I'm biased, but I honestly don't see what the problem was with it. I can see how Sen fans were upset at the OT winner yesterday, but there was nothing wrong with goal #1 here.
Hey, I'm here for the 2nd, then the Walking Dead for the third.
I don't recall if there was consensus on a Weise nickname. CHip was thrown out there - good as it as the CH. Could go with DDub as in Dubya (W) as in George Dubya.
Did you know that Weise is derived from the German word for white - meaning people of fair complexion were given that name (back when surnames were being handed out). So imagine if Lebrow was called up and played on a line with BlanCHe and CHip. The obviously politically incorrect name for that line would be the KKK line. But there would be lots of less offensive options to play with for sure.
Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy St Paddies day everyone. We are going to need the luck of the Irish, something about a potato famine in that canticle. Well we have a scoring famine. The poll at HIO asks will we regret renting Vanek. I never jump to conclusions but its obvious now it was just like not signing PFK to a long term contract a bad decision. What the Habs brain trust needs is the tenth man, like the WWZ general who believed in Zombies.
R.I.P. David Brenner.

ReplyDeletePFK was a beautiful thing to watch in the third/OT. I read he told MT2 to 'watCH me now!'
DeleteAnd where I wrote "huge slippers" ...I meant "huge SLAPPERS"
DeleteSure you did KmaXXX.

Delete'catch the turd' was what happened last night when I went to bed, I moved the cat from my spot and a klingon fell from her butt.
TMI St. Pad.

ReplyDeleteTime stamp on tsn shows 3/16/2014 10:57:07 AM Yeah right, they only recently put up the Habs/Sabres story.
DeleteWell they are choking on a CP 'article': http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=446489
Deletesnet CANNOT stop saying Montreal. It is almost AndyKaufmanesque.
The freakishly Botox'd and mannequinish neil smith CANNOT stop mentioning Montreal.

ReplyDeleteif me, juce, and moe can't remember his nickname, he never had one

DeletePleXXXe!
ReplyDeletePleXXXe!!
ReplyDeletepleXXXe!!!
ReplyDeleteNope, kidG!
ReplyDeleteSomeone isn't drinking! 29 and I saw PleXXXe score that.
Deleteer. KidG I think!
ReplyDeleteWe must defer to Judge juce.
DeleteCan you imagine TFS, at home in beautiful Montreal with his beautifuller new wife asking himself where were those goals in last night's first period.
ReplyDeleteToke!
ReplyDeleteToker x2!
ReplyDeleteI betCHa loved typing that.
DeleteSure did!
DeleteNow that wasn't a bad period of hockey...but we've seen this before. Pretty dead crowd in Niagra tonight - except for the Habs fans!
ReplyDeleteGo Habs go!!
KmaXXX, juce, 29 and I can't collectively recall the nickname we gave Weiss. Can you help?
DeleteFunny...I was thinking the same thing...what the hell did we name him?
DeleteHang on...wasn't it CHIp
DeleteJust catching up now. The Buffalo guys pretty much picked every reason why goal #1 shouldn't have counted. Kick, hand, high stick and goalie interference. I was waiting for them to say the period had ended, too.

ReplyDeleteHere's a question...last night the tying goal - wasn't that a 6 on 4 situation - ergo - a power play goal?
ReplyDeleteYes, Turris was off because apparently Markov dived (from what i read on the Ottawa site).
DeleteI was wondering the same thing. It's not counted as a PP goal for some reason.
DeleteHey, I'm here for the 2nd, then the Walking Dead for the third.
ReplyDeleteI don't recall if there was consensus on a Weise nickname. CHip was thrown out there - good as it as the CH.

ReplyDeleteSens lost, again. Eat it walrus.
ReplyDeleteDo it, boys!
ReplyDeleteI betCHa loved typing that.
DeleteI like the TSN-Habs guys, they seem ok. though Ransdorf's pronunciation of Cube is annoying (he REALLY pronounces it like the soup)
ReplyDeleteI don't get the tsn-Habs game so is he pronouncing it Boule-yon?
Deleteexactly
DeleteThat Deslauriers kid seems pretty good.

DeleteToke!
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteToke! (and a fast whistle)!!!
ReplyDeleteVery stupid move by Mcbain.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the Saber back up goalie got a note from his mom to miss school for this game.
ReplyDeleteBattle of the back-up's back-ups.
ReplyDeleteIt's his first NHL game.
ReplyDeleteVonT is getting frustrated, a goal will fix that.
ReplyDeleteToke looks like a younger version of Michael Buble.
ReplyDeleteBad juce.
DeleteI dont know if I would go all in to sign Von T. He is going to get a bundle and he has not shown his value so far.
ReplyDeleteSo my summary so far is that every single Hab is trying to get VonT his first goal...but I suppose he has to score sooner or later.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, it's closing in on 1 am so I am gone - early start for work tomorrow and it's Mrs. Kmaxxx's birthday...not to mention st. Patricks day.
Go Habs go! Cheers all!
Hey, me and Mrs KmaXXX share a bday!
DeleteBonne Fête Mme. KmaXXX, you lucky, lucky, four loaf cleavered gal.

ReplyDeleteOkay Toker was smoking
ReplyDeleteToke gets a shut-out woooooohoooooooooooo!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletefuck you leafs.
ReplyDelete2nd place reclaimed.
ReplyDeletefuck you leaf.
i hate to be cynical, but we needed a couple of messy bouncy goals to beat the worst team in the league. the worst team, by like 10 points
ReplyDeletethough we're back to 2nd in the division, give or take a Bolts game in hand or two. so that's something I guess
what we are not playing Buffalo in the first round
DeleteNight folks.
