  1. "Few know what it’s like to play goalie for the Montreal Canadiens.

Patrick Roy knows what it’s like better than anybody and he admires the job Carey Price is doing for the Habs.

“Everybody is impressed by the way he played at the Olympics. He was outstanding," Roy said. "Seeing them win the gold medal, I’m sure everybody in Canada is extremely proud of them. I thought that was a great accomplishment for him. Overall, I’d say he’s having a great career. It’s not easy to perform year after year on a high level and I think he’s been doing pretty good at it."

  2. Very happy to see St Pat doing well and in the Western Conference. If Fat Steve follows through and buys KPFuckface a NHL team and Pat becomes GM I will be less happy. This year the AV's have gone from the outhouse to the penthouse and Roy is a slamdunk for the Jack Adams. Wonder how he would have done in Montreal? I wonder if he will ever end up here? I hope so.

    1. three strikes
1)first was not going with Roy, now at the time it was extremely risky move. but now seems duh!
2)same goes for not signing PFK to a long term. I like most was wrong on this one
      3) The move to get VonT, a crowd pleasers but likely in hindsight the worst move since the Gomez deal.

      Delete
    2. 3) Most of the players that were moved at the deadline haven't produced either, I think Marty scored his first last night.

      Delete
    3. Sorry, Marty hasn't, I was thinking Stamkos for a minute there.

  6. Can you imagine what St Pat would do with a goalie like TFS. We play this stupid chess match hockey instead of trying to get goals. In the end the system remains the same, let TFS stop the puck. So instead of all this handwringing over missed assignments and playing like a running back instead of quarterback, just let loose the dogs of war, the wagon is on fire and can not be put out with ice.

I lot of their stuff is way over my head but I really like Eddie Vedder. His soundtrack for "Into the Wild" and particularly the track "Big Heart Sun" made me buy the CD. As far as Pearl Jam goes, the first album Ten is the best one.

    2. nothing is way over my head, it feeds my head and maybe thats where the pressure creates my broken connection first surfacing. Anyway I have a critical opinion about wailing on Bob Dylan. In my opinion he does enough on he own, no need to amp that sound.
Little known fact, my retirement plan is to learn how to play the guitar and be a Bob Dylan troubadour, called the Robert Zimmerman experience. How can anyone compare an RRSP to Dylan. One is risky the other for sure eternity,.

    1. "Forward Landon Ferraro was the latest call-up from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League when he was recalled Monday in lieu of Abdelkader's injury in the Chicago game.

If Bertuzzi can't play, enter Ferraro into the lineup to further turn Detroit into Grand Rapids East."

  19. This must be a distraction for the guys, Macabee was asking kidG about Roy and he says he's sure it's good for the fans after all he's done here, but for them it's 2 points. GYMFHG!

  21. Q for the FHFers: what do you like with your fries? KetCHup? Mayo. Aioli? Hot sauce?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Vinegar, sometimes with ketchup on the side.

    2. Ketchup with the cheap fries, mayo with the better ones and of course good gravy. Not a vinegar person.

    3. Salt and ketchup. I don't like vinegar either.

      Delete
    4. decent fries require nothing but a little salt. crap fries take ketchup. mayo works on decent fries too

    5. Hate vinegar on fries too. Isn't vinegar more of an Ontario thing?

    ReplyDelete
  69. VonT says he's glad the juggler didn't juggle his line and left them together. juggle, juggle.

  70. Holy crap, Sharks outshoot Panthers 29-2 in 3rd period (54-24 overall), but Panthers come out on top 3-2 in San Jose. Luongo getting the job done while working on his tan.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Love it, the leaf fans are starting to eat their own. They give up 50 shots every other game, but apparently it's their goalie's fault that they're losing. Because, you know, he should be scoring goals, too. The Wings had 10 AHLers in the line up tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Panic, VonT is taking all gCHucks oxygen. See McKinnon out there, that should be gCHuck. eMPy can only handle one line at a time.

So, just before I turned in last night I checked the torontosportsnetwork's home page, the main story was the Habs win and Vanek's hattie, Phil Jackson joining the Knicks and Tiger Woods withdrawing from the Bay Hill Invitational this weekend. Went to the NHL page, three main stories = Habs win, Ottawa loss, Boston win...not one fucking word about the leaf loss, not ONE! It was as if they disappeared off the face of the earth. What a bunch of petty assholes that run that website.
