  4. I would love to see them tear through some western teams on this trip. It is good to see young Galchenyuk back in the line-up. I doubt any of these goals will give us a flashback to Atom hockey and cover up a puck near the blue line. :o)

Greasy haired slimebag insidredger spouting nonsense about the Senaturds "quietly" shopping Jason Spezza. What a fucking maroon, as if you trade a guy like that in the prime of his career.

I won't be watching tonight, 11:30 start is way to late for me. This last week surprised me, 5 out of 6 points, if the Habs can play .500 hockey from here on they should be playoff bound. They are better defensively and have better goaltending than the wretched leaf so they should be able to keep them in the rear view mirror. The leaf has to do this west coast swing as well....

I can't see Bergevin doing anything big at the deadline, the only player likely to be moved would be Cube for a late round pick perhaps. I think what we see is what we get.

    5-8 EST drink heavily
~8:30 EST pass out drunkenly on couch
~12:30 AM EST wake up groggily on couch going "what? who? where am I? why did I just dream of Stephen Harper but with steve's head?"
12:30 and following EST watch 3rd period and any OT/SO

Same here fellow Maritimer. 11:30 is too fucking late. That's usually when I'm dragging my tired ass to bed, maybe I'll catch 1/2 a period if I can take it. Be interesteing to see if the cockroaches show us the SJ game on Saturday. I see the nucks/flames are on at the same time, both on the docket. I doubt people in Vancouver and Calgary even want to watch that game...we'll see.

"One regulation loss in the past 10 leaves the Habs third overall in the East, but while G Peter Budaj is having a strong season, there are no illusions that they can maintain that roll without Carey Price. The counter, in the short term, is that they got Alex Galchenyuk back in the lineup. "

"The Habs have rattled off 10 goals in their past two games, but face a tough week ahead in a four-game West Coast swing with stops in L.A., Anaheim, Phoenix and San Jose."

      At least that's honest

  24. Not liking the pace. Skill/size vs will. Habs can score and make it close but got to step it up in the man coverage. I really don't know why LA is famous for not scoring given their depth. I hate saying it. I counter it with an empathic GYFHG

  32. So is it a set play now that the point men will fake a shot and then weakly direct it sort of towards the goal, but really 5 feet wide, so it can be blocked or scooped up and cleared easily? That's pretty much all I've seen them do the last few games, with the exception of PK (sometimes). I mean, what's the point (pun intended)?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I watched until the middle of the second. We lost 2 to 1. Our only goal was a fluke. However in a seven game series there is no reason we would not win, Longfellow took on one of the toughest customers in the league and more than stood his ground. We have two lines that can play against anyone and more than stand their ground. Crankshaft seems to have found his gear. If Lego can remember that Danny Beer can play hockey we might have a third line. The fourth line with Charger, Carnival White/Moeman should be one of the best in the league. When TFS comes back we are contenders. Make the deal for Jagar FFS.

I would think the time change had something to do with the game last night, according to their body clocks they would have played that game from 10:40 to almost 2:00am, that can't be easy. By all accounts they held their own and Buddy gave them a chance.

Even two points on this trip would be a positive.

You know what, I'm starting to agree with Steve, Jagr with PleXXXe and gCHuk would be a line that would have to be dealt with and leave "Me and Davey's" line more open. Hey MB give Lou a call today, OK?

    2. Budda, Leblanc and Plaid to NJ for Jager, high price but when you gotta go you gotta go

  34. he Florida Panthers have traded defenceman Mike Weaver to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2015 Draft.

In 55 games with the Panthers this season, Weaver has six assists.

The 35-year-old Weaver is currently in the final year of a two-year deal he signed with the Panthers prior to the 2012-13 season worth an average annual value of $1.1 million.

  37. Urgent call from Mr Molson to DGMB

Mr Molson: I said Huberdeau, Huberdeau, and you get a Weaver! (hangs up)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Fear the collapse. DGMB has taken the Canada defense first policy that borught home gold, to the Stephen Harper/Rob Ford wishbone six sigma solution. Yes we are going to dress 21 defenceman and DDD. How can we lose?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Scott Gomez and Scot Clemmensen (FLA) also on waivers. Clearing cap for Vodkov?

    ReplyDelete
  40. I don't want to see Vodkov go.

  41. "Weaver's not flashy, with seven goals in 585 career games, but he's active in a defensive role -- one of 26 defencemen to have at least 90 hits and 90 blocked shots so far this season."

    ReplyDelete
  42. Now they're playing Dreamweaver on tsn.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Maybe Cube's replacement? We haven't seen him in awhile.

    ReplyDelete
  44. If he eMTy can make him into a good teamate and trust him so the (Y) can play the left side on the second pair, its not a bad deal

  45. The Mexicant is available for free. Imagine a DDD, Mexicant, Vampire Dan line. Those big defencemen would be like elephants trying to stop mice.
